After doing research, I found many owners reporting similar issues, which makes this seem like more than normal wear and tear. I reached out to both the dealership and Kia hoping for some goodwill assistance due to the repeated failures. Instead of receiving meaningful help, I was told I needed to pay for diagnostics and was given an estimate of roughly $2,300 to replace both passenger-side window assemblies and motors. What made this experience even more disappointing was feeling like dealership management showed little interest in helping despite me purchasing the vehicle through them and being a long-term customer. I asked whether any assistance, goodwill repair options, or cost-sharing could be considered and was essentially told I would be responsible for the full amount. Unfortunately, my recent experience with a fuel pump replacement has completely destroyed that trust due to hidden fees, unresolved mechanical issues, and aggressive staff behavior. ​Unfair Diagnostic Charge: I was charged a $175 diagnostic fee on top of having the repair work completed directly with them. ​Unresolved Work: Immediately upon picking up my vehicle, the Check Engine light was on. I raised the issue before leaving. After they cleared the code, my car shut off multiple times on the drive home, and the light came right back on. ​Broken Policy Commitments: I brought the car back to Gab, who attempted to fix it. Jr. then informed me that if the light returned, the customer-provided part was defective. He explicitly assured me that if I brought in a replacement part, they would swap it out. ​Hostile & Unprofessional Service: When I arrived with the new part, Xavier refused to honor what Jr. had set up. He had very poor customer service, became combative on the phone with Jr. while trying to insist on full labor charges, and hung up on him. He then aggressively demanded I pay full labor again--even though no charge was applied for the previous follow-up visit. ​The internal miscommunication, changing rules, and hostility from staff are completely unacceptable. It has 200K miles on it and I am hoping to put another 200K on it with Valentine's help. This time it was a bad fuel pump that was damaged after I ran out of gas and tried to start the car several times. Now, let me ask an engineering & design question. Would you integrate the fuel pump inside of the fuel tank so that when (not if) the fuel pump fails, you have to replace the entire gas tank assembly?? After all... this is not rocket science!!! Who designed this??? Valentine was very accommodating and explained the problem and the solution to me before any work started.
