There is a nice big parking lot and they have Safeway gas. I've used their grocery pick-up service three times now and it's AWESOME! I order everything on the app. Note: There are two Safeway apps, one for deals and one for shopping, make sure you download the right one! The app is really user friendly and easy to shop on. I usually put the order in the day before I want to pick it up and they have plenty of times available. They'll send you a text when your order is ready. They have dedicated parking spots for grocery pickup. I just call the posted number when I arrive and the drop the groceries in my truck! NO CONTACT! Super easy and they're always really friendly. If you haven't done grocery pick up yet- give it a shot!

In some cases, it may be featured ad items which you'd think they'd be prepared for. But when ads break on Wednesdays, why are those items not even on shelves yet? Then again, a day or two after the ad breaks, featured products are already gone and those shelves are empty, if they were ever stocked in the first place. Another challenge seems to be personnel related, which again reflects on management. This afternoon there was only one checker working at a time when people are just getting off work. She had people with several full carts backed up and there was also a line at the "self check out." It seems to put both the employee and customer in a negative situation. On top of that, it looks like there's a fair amount of staff turnover? There's a newer Safeway up in Bothell that is a newer, cleaner store and better organized. I hope that this Kenmore store can improve. If the Bothell store wasn't 3 times further away, I'd probably shop there more...or just go to the Freddy's store at Totem Lake.

I've gotten them for years when I lived in Everett and in another city where I work. The Bothell Safeway bagels are absolute trash. They are overcooked and not soft. The jalapeño cheddar ones specifically are not good. They always look burnt and not a lot of jalapeños like at other Safeways. I've tried to get other types of bagels there instead and it's the same over cooked bagel. The donuts are also lacking, which I didn't realize could happen-I thought a donut is a donut especially from safeway. Nope. We now get our donuts elsewhere and I get bagels from Haggen in Woodinville or at the Safeway location near my work. Sad because this is what's close to me.

I came later in the afternoon, so most of it was sold out, but I can't even imagine in the morning when it's bustling with new bakes. The rest of this market was very clean and organized. The bakery had a number of cake items by the slice and by the cake. In one of the baked good areas, I noticed boxes labeled for macaron (French cookie) pops (like a cake pop only with a macaron). There were a couple different color/flavor combinations available and I decided on the Meyer lemon macaron pops with pink frosting (like a pink lemonade of sorts). Self check out moved quickly and I was soon on my way with my item. Eating the macaron pops, the Meyer lemon flavor was strong and the frosting perfectly sweet. The item was texturally enjoyable and not hard/stale. It is a repeat item for me. The parking lot was large and the front of the store has been redone compared to what it was approximately 10 to 15 years ago. While busy, there were parking spots available.

Always friendly service and well stocked with very basic items at reasonable prices. It's small, it's cluttered, it's old, so don't except a five-star experience. On weekends there always seems to be a fresh-cut flowers stand on the corner. Beautiful arrangements at good prices.
