There were repeated delays in attempting service, and communication was inconsistent throughout. At one point, the server shared personal issues that were affecting her ability to complete the job, which should NOT impact a client's case. I have documentation where she told me she would send service via social media, however, when I confirmed if it was done, as stated, it was not. I was told that multiple service attempts had been made; however, when I asked a simple question about whether the residence had a Ring camera, which would confirm those attempts), there was hesitation and an incorrect response. I knew they had a ring doorbell; and, 3 Police Officers who were attempting service also confirmed they had a ring doorbell camera. This raised serious concerns and validated my suspicions whether service attempts were actually being made; they weren't. Additionally, there was a lack of transparency when her contact information changed (her number charged) and I was not informed. Required service updates were also not filed with the court in a timely manner. Overall, this experience caused unnecessary ADDITIONAL stress and delays in a time-sensitive legal matter. I would strongly encourage others to carefully consider their options before hiring. I have a lot of documentation and instead of filing a formal complaint with the Attorney General's office and Better Business Bureau, I'm starting with a review through Yelp. Given the lack of timely service, communication issues, and overall experience, I believe a refund is warranted.

It was incredibly fast. The proof of service they provided was not the one I sent them to fill out. It was one that the process created correcting two mistakes I had made. All this for $75 in Manhattan where you can't get lunch for $75. I am very pleased. I usually check Yelp reviews before I do business with anyone but I didn't do it with ABC. If I had I would not have used them. I have never seen so many negative reviews for a business on Yelp. If ABC wants to avoid future bad reviews they need to advertise their services as "satisfaction guaranteed or your money back". Then tell their independent contractor process servers that if a negative review is left on YELP due to negligence on their part they are history. ABC can respond to this review and let Yelp members know if they have made any policy changes.

Dark Horse at that time also pre charged us $50 for them to file the papers with the court after they were served. Dark Horse had us sign up for their ServeManager online program that was meant as a way to message each other, upload any documents I had and then also see the status of the papers being served- how many attempts, times, etc. On 5/25/2023 when only 1 attempt had been made to serve the papers I received a message that the address we had for the guy, which we gave to Dark Horse, was not a good address. So we asked about doing a skip trace on the guy. Ona with Dark Horse stated that a basic Skip Trace would not be good enough, we needed to do the Comprehensive Skip Trace for $87. We paid for that and after a week we were told that the comprehensive skip trace did not give any information on the guy. So for the next week I personally found out where the guy worked, his wifes name, and also found out what neighborhood they lived in, which I gave all the information to Ona. Another week went by with no updates, no other attempts were made and no one at Dark Horse would get back to us. On 6/14/2023 when we could not get a call back we hired Premier Process Servers and for $85 we got the papers served the very next day and Premier Process Servers filed the paperwork with the court for free. To this day Dark Horse has not reimbursed us $50, which they charged to file papers with the courts, which they never did. We were also told that a Comprehensive Skip Trace couldn't not have been pulled by Dark Horse because if it was, they would have had all the information they needed to serve the papers. If you are looking for a process server Dark Horse is not only more expensive than others, they also don't get the job done, save your money and go elsewhere. As for all the other services Dark Horse offers, I know they would be performed better by another company- any other company.
