They didn't send in our 1095 As that prove we had health insurance and our refund is on hold. Nothing like getting letters from the IRS! H & R Block initially told us we owed thousands of dollars in taxes and showed us how to set up a payment plan with the IRS. Then they called to say that the amount we owed was actually the amount of our refund! The call was to say they made a few more mistakes and our refund would be $300 less. I called and spoke with the owner who said that the person who prepared our taxes usually just does data entry and joked that "it was better than being wrong the other direction". I paid $108 to have my taxes professionally prepared but it ended up being a huge headache to clean up the mess they made. If this standard for H&R Block, I would not recommend this business.

Not only was my initial appointment made a complete mess and filed incorrectly, I met with another staff member over a month ago to work out the errors and they never got back to me, no call, email, text, nothing, for a month. I finally called them myself to ask what the delay was and now received a hefty email with extended information needed as the person helping me "didn't take any notes at our appointment"....by the time this is worked out I'll be needing to pay taxes for 2018!! I wouldn't trust this team any further than I could throw them. Go elsewhere if you want a stress free filing experience!
