First time here and definitely not disappointed. The staff was super helpful and friendly. I was excited to see they carry Pastabilities stretch bread and tomato oil. It's so convenient to grab it here instead of driving all the way to the restaurant when the craving hits. I tried the pastrami sandwich but I wasn't quite sure what toppings to add, so I might experiment with something different next time. I also picked up some fresh meat. This is a great shop with a lot to offer. I came for the subs. The service was promp and efficient no complaints there. I found the bread on the subs to not be super fresh, this was a bit disappointing. I wish the meatball sub had melted cheese but the meatballs still had good flavor. I also got a roast beef sub and the taste was spot on but again the bread was not super fresh. I found them to be reasonably priced and if I'm in the area I would go back. However, taste wise I prefer Mazzeye's and Vince's. read more

The pasta salad was standard with an Italian dressing. Sub pricing was fair for boars head but the sandwich could use some more ham. Lunch time arrived while we were were close to Spera's. A nice market that also includes a deli and meat market. Shelves are stocked with pastas, sauces and anything you'd need to make a nice dinner. Take a number at the deli counter to get your sub/sandwich made. All lunch meats are sliced to order. There are multiple choices of breads to get your sandwich on including Portugese rolls. Roast beef is generally a home made beef, but they were out. SO and I got a large and small subs (respectively) of Boar's Head roast beef. Friday's they have fish fry's ready to go. Was a busy store with ample parking. Out in front they had bins of farm produce. Nice place to visit. read more

Native Italian Anthony Spera introduced Spera's Meat Market to the local Cicero community on February 2, 1982. Inspired by traditional Italian butcher shops he visited as a child and supported by a loyal following, three generations later Spera's Meat Market continues to grow. I've only been going to Speras for a couple years, as a friend who lives close introduced me to them. I always enjoy going and find them to have a decent selection of freshly butchered Meat. They carry local favorites such as Bucks Seasoning, Pastas Tomato Oil and Columbus Bakery bread as well. They have a large selection of sauces and condiments and have some stuff you can't find in bigger grocery stores. Their deli is one of the few locally that carries Boars Head meat and they have a good selection of pre-made cold salads and hot sides. I love their subs too, they have 8" and 16" subs but they 8" ones are HUGE and packed with meat. I've always found their employees to be friendly and prices reasonable. Ive always heard good things about this place but never tried it until the Covid 19 pandemic as I had no need Aldi's handled my needs. Then Covid and Walmart and aldi couldn't get and keep meat and I was left scrambling so I checked this place out hoping. JACKPOT Always stocked with the most tender juicy amazing meats. The ground beef is amazing makes killer burgers and meatloafs and they say it's 80/20 but that's news to me very little fat but so flavorful. They also have a wonderful deli with amazing salads and boarshead meat. It looks small but it's deceiving and very popular. First of all, I have never had anything bad at Speras. The sandwiches and wraps are made to order and fresh, and accurately made. The butcher is there to ask questions and give advice. We have ordered tenderloin and they always give us the right amount to order for the many folks we will have. The chicken salad, macaroni and many pasta salads they offer are fabulous as well. The desserts are also fabulous! Some of our favs are grandmas cookies, the sugar cookies, the chocolate velvet cookies ans cake and many more. I can go on and on and this place is great!! read more

The deli counter is always well staff and very attentive and we'll time managed if there is a busy lunch rush. I get the meats because there selection is all over the place with great quality meat. I have to pass by quite a few supermarkets and other food stores to travel to this location. Why? I simply feel it is very worth while. I am very pleased with the variety, freshness, and value of their products along with the very pleasant and helpful employees. The store is a deli, butcher shop and small supermarket packed with delicious goods all nicely presented in a very clean environment. Their butcher section has fresh cut meats of excellent quality at prices less than your supermarkets. I enjoy their homemade breakfast sausage, Italian sausages, meatball mix, and great cuts of beef and pork. You can find these in packages that are just the right size for a meal for 1 or 2 or larger. Often, supermarkets charge more per pound for smaller packages while discounting the "family packs". Here, the price remains the same. The deli counter features a big selection of Boars Head cold cuts. For years, Boars Head has been a premium brand and continues to be so. A large selection of homemade salads i.e varieties of potato, macaroni, tuna, ham, pasta and others, are always out on display and again, all at a reasonable price. On the right side of their display is their hot foods section. It is small and I have generally seen meatballs, pasta dishes, macaroni and cheese, etc... have ordered their custom, freshly made subs where they slice the meats and cheese for each sandwich. I'm not a fan of pre-sliced cold-cuts so, you won't find me at a Subway or similar place. I have had their excellent meats, cold cuts and sub sandwiches and I hope to enjoy much more ! read more

Spera's is a gem. It is equal parts grocery market, butcher, and deli - a jack of all trades that successfully masters them all. During the lunchtime rush the deli counter is both well staffed and well stocked. They generally have two soups available, about a dozen cold salads, a bunch of hot specials, and a full line of Boar's Head meats for subs and sandwiches. Highlights for me are the Italian Wedding soup, the white Mac n' cheese, fried haddock, boneless wings, and the tortellini pasta salad. Meats and produce here are excellent. The butcher case has a variety of pre-marinated meats, various steaks, and homemade meatballs. Craft beer gets its own aisle and you'll have no trouble finding something you'll like. During the summer months you will find lots of local produce out front. My only drawback is the groceries are pricier than other full-fledged grocery stores, but the trade offs for me are worth it. Sure I wouldn't get my weekly groceries here, but a few pounds of meat and veggies for the grill are always a good bet! Support small grocery stores like this - they do it right! read more

Great Meat market and small market located in Cicero, NY. They had a nice selection of regional favorites, made in house and also known local brands. Hubby was thrilled to have German hotdogs and snappy dogs (Coney's) at the family BBQ. We also enjoyed their in-house ground sirloin (95% lean) hamburgers, their in-house hot Italian sausage as well as their sweet Italian sausage. The family raved. Along with a nice meat counter and deli counter is a produce section and grocery section, so you don't have to hit the Price Chopper or Wegman's- you can grab it all here.
