Amazing breakfast! I am sure everything else is great too. Can't wait to go back and try more of the menu. Definitely recommend trying this place.

Everyone should go and support this cafe because it is so yummy and staff is amazing. I had the brisket sandwich and it was the best I've ever had! Everything was homemade, hot, and fresh. Nothing dry or stale! Chef makes it all on the spot. The owner/chef/staff were friendly, helpful in explaining the menu and willing to accommodate. There is plenty of parking and it's open for breakfast, lunch or dinner. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside has plenty of space, with a call board in the back for kids (and adults) to sign and color![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will definitely be back.

Great little gem in Aldi's plaza in Cicero. Stopped in to grab a breakfast burrito, which was made fresh and so good! We also ended up grabbing one of their soul food meals from their soul food Saturday menu. Turkey wings, which came with rice, collard greens and an amazing mac & cheese. Everything is cooked fresh and flavorful. The turkey wing meal we took home to eat later in the day and even warmed up was delicious. Definitely will be back. It's nice to have something different on the side of town. The very nice guy working (I believe was the owner) was very friendly and accommodating. I wish them the best.

When my partner and I walked in, we were greeted by a man at the counter and mentioned it was our first time visiting. His response was about as uninterested as it gets. Instead of offering a menu or any guidance, he simply pointed off to the side and told us to order when we were ready. Not exactly a welcoming first impression. The space itself was small, with a few tables, drink coolers, baked goods, and smoothie options. After placing our order, we waited...and waited. After exactly 40 minutes, I finally asked about the status, especially after watching another couple come in after us, order, and leave with their food before we received ours. I understand that takeout and delivery orders are part of the business, but in-house customers should not be completely overlooked. There was no communication, no sense of urgency, and no effort to acknowledge the delay. It genuinely felt like we didn't matter as customers. And for what? Two sandwiches--a roast beef and a turkey. Having worked in restaurants myself, I can confidently say that should not take 40 minutes under normal circumstances. I don't enjoy writing negative reviews, but this experience was frustrating enough to warrant one. We will not be returning. Save yourself the time and look elsewhere.

I've had just about all the chain sandwich shops you can imagine, but strangely hadn't had a Firehouse sub before until very recently. Firehouse seems to hang their hat (helmet?) on supporting first responders and service members, and I commend the for that. Looking for a quick dinner, I stopped here to get a sub for the ride home. Right away, I was struck by all of the hot options they had on the menu. I was very tempted to go with a meatball sub but this was going to be a car dinner and no one needs a meatball on the floor or sauce on the shirt. I landed on the Sub on a Club - honey ham, turkey, bacon, Monterrey Jack, and the fixings. It took a bit longer to prepare than I anticipated but I think the wait was worth it. The bacon was freshly prepared and the sandwich was served warm - nice! The person checking me out and the sandwich maker were very welcoming and friendly. I always appreciate that at 8 pm on a Thursday night. The sandwich was excellent. Nice mix of meats, crisp bacon, and their deli mustard had a nice flavor. They have one of the Coke Freestyle machines if you like to full alchemist with your drink choices. Conveniently located on Route 11 and near a 481 on-ramp, Firehouse Subs is a nice spot to hit when your sandwich alarm is going off.

The calm ambiance and muted, cinnamon-brown walls of the space's predecessor, Cafe at 407, which closed at the end of 2023, have been replaced with TVs in the dining area and bar, a wall-length mural and a little nook with a neon sign that reads "Say Cheese!" and Polaroids of satisfied customers pinned to the wall. The menu taps into childhood fast food nostalgia, with burgers, fries, onion rings and milkshakes -- plus beer, wine, cocktails and boozy sodas. With five burgers, two chicken sandwiches, two salads, a few shareable starters, Fly Bird chicken tenders, a Chicago-style glizzy and a fried fish sandwich served only on Fridays, the menu isn't long, but offers enough variation to appeal to most diners. The wife and I stopped in on a Saturday right at opening time. We were sat and given menus immediately. We decided to share a burger and fries and an order of tenders. We ordered the blue suede shoes - a burger topped with cheddar, bacon, lettuce, tomato, carmelized onions, pickles and house remoulade and an order of hot stuff buffalo tenders. Our food was brought relatively quickly and we enjoyed everything. Fries were fresh, crispy and seasoned, burger was cooker perfectly, the tenders were fresh, crispy, saucy and had just the slightest kick of heat to them. Our server was very friendly and helpful, prices were comparable to similar restaurants, and we has plenty of food to bring home. We'd definitely go again.
