I didn't take pictures my fault. I wanted to check this place out and stayed for like 5 min. It's good if you need to find something in large quantities or missing a plate. It just feels dirty, and they was huge water puddle in one of the isles not sure if it was a leak on roof and no one saw it but it was obvious. I would come back only if I needed something that maybe Costco or other stores don't have in large quantities Or if my blender cup broke. They have replacement items for certain appliances. HUGE wear-house store contains anything and everything restaurant related, minus food products. I ended up buying two copper plated stainless steel cups for Moscow mules. SUPER good deal they were having - $4.99 per cup. They have an isle or two dedicated to bar items which was nice. Don't come here expecting to buy some name brand dishes or cups. MESMERIC. The name of this place should have been enough forewarning - but I was not prepared. I'd like to preface this and say I do not own a restaurant, but I'm an avid cook and baker. When I walked in I felt my heart rate soar like the first time I discovered laminated dough. This is a giant warehouse with aisles and aisles of every magical thing you have been searching for your entire life. It's like the Room of Requirement in Harry Potter - all the cooking equipment you've never been able to find at "normal" places has been hiding here. I've driven on roads that are shorter than some of these aisles, it's absolutely incredible. There's a neighborhood of glassware, plates, and serving dishes in all the funky beautiful shapes you see at swanky restaurants. There is industrial baking equipment here - full size sheet pans, half sheet, quarter sheet! Baguette pans, rolling sheet racks, every cake pan ever, piping tips, fondant, CAKE COLLARS! There are knives, there are sharpeners. Industrial mixers, kitchen aid mixers, replacement kitchenaid paddles and whisks. There are all kinds of bowls and giant whisks, spoons, ladles of every size, packaging, graters. Pots and pans. Woks. Cutting board conditioner. There was a whole back section of the store I didn't see because - stupidly - I had other stuff to do that day. I can't believe all the money and time I have wasted elsewhere, fruitlessly searching for and buying the wrong size serving dishes for entirely too much money, the cooking tools that break because they aren't made to work - come here first and you won't be disappointed ever again. The prices here are pretty fair in my opinion, the stuff is all pretty good quality, but you're not going to pay the high prices of the ritzy gourmet cooking boutiques. A couple tips: There's plenty of parking and it's easy to find. You also won't find any cutesy stuff like seasonal dish towels or fancy aprons here, it's all business here, baby! They will ask you if you have an account, this is for everyone, not just restaurants. (Do it!) Come with more than an hour to explore. And at least get a basket when you walk in. You will need it. They have a catalogue the size of a small phone book at the registers for free. Take it. Come here if you want to fall in love again. read more

There is a lot of products here which is nice but the service is NOT my favorite. I waited weeks to receive a product and it finally got delivered well I purchased the product in February and the product was shipped in and expired in December 2024. When I called in the agent, said that I was able to return the product no issues because I was sold in expired product however, when I got into the store, I was met with a lot of pushback and on top of that I was required to pay a restocking fee. I think it's absolutely insane that I was required to pay a fee when I was sold a product that was less than satisfactory. I had to even reiterate the facts of the issue just to even receive a refund because they were going to require me to only do an exchange plus the restocking fee. I reluctantly paid the restocking fee because I was done discussing the matter after being on the phone for 15 minutes with the agent and dealing with three different employees in store. I asked if they stopped wearing masks and the woman checking me out laughed at me and said "no but YOU are welcome to wear one" and then when she took my card I asked her to please stay 6 ft away and she laughed at me again. So I said my father passed away from Covid and I take it very seriously and she laughed for the third time! LAUGHED that my father passed away. I will never ever shop here again. Two of the five glasses I ordered arrived damaged due to inadequate padding in the package. They just wrapped them in a little bit of newspaper. One of them is completely shattered and the other has a chip and significant scratches. I reached out to them twice via email and their website have received no response after a week and a half. I love this place. I host a lot of large dinners and this is the place I buy all my paper product as well as restaurant style dishes. I also bought all my silverware here for thanksgiving. It's better than plastic and it's inexpensive and could be used over and over again. It works great for all my family dinners, It makes it nice when arranging a table of 16. I recently bought a popcorn machine and i stock up on my popcorn here. It's the best deal I can find. I pay $18 for a box of 24 and it's a All In One package with everything in it. When it comes to paper product, I get to the best deal here as well. Just a week ago I bought 250 styrofoam plates, 250 (12oz) bowls, and 200 (8oz) styrofoam cups and only paid $23 dollars. This is a steal. If you can find them cheaper message me bcz I buy tons of disposable bowls, plates & cups. But if you are shopping for personal events, restaurant, or just to stock up! This is still my go-to place. I just can't justify even Target or Wal-Mart purchases. That stuff is just junk. I brought my mom here when she was in townand she was so disappointed she didn't have room to bring things with her on her flight. I definitely have s shopping list when I drive back to visit family. The prices are great, but it can be stressful finding things since its not always organized on a way I find easy to understand. My more recent purchases include a roasting pan with a rack on sale for $12. It's smaller, but it was what I needed. I also got a round pizza pan for $5. These are not Le Creuset gorgeous things, they're functional and sturdy. I still use my stock pot all the time for soup and made amazing jam with it. They do also have some food service size shelf stable foods. I purchase my Worcestershire sauce there (name brand Lea& Perrins) in a gigantic bottle and just refill my regular bottle over and over -totally worth it. We also will get maraschino cherries and flavored Lime syrups there that are super expensive in the grocery store. Big sizes, but good prices. read more

Customer service is nonexistent and the whole staff is unorganized. Waited in the customer service line for about 40 minutes with only one other person in front of me. The woman who was ahead of me seemed to be agitated too. Finally got to a person and I asked if they had a specific item in stock. So he looked it up on what seems to be a PC from the 90s using an old DOS program and said they have 24 in stock. I just wanted two. Another guy came and showed me where the item would be but it wasn't there. The guy said it might be in the back so he went into the back storage space. He came out after about 20 minutes and said the inventory must be wrong. Gave no explanations or a date when some more would be coming in and just headed up to the front desk. So I grabbed the wrong size zip lock bags for our groups service project for refugee children in Jordan. After being told I could exchange for the right size by the first employee, I was then told I could not exchange by the cashier and a manager as I did not have a receipt or an account. To their credit they pointed out the fine print that stated their policy. Yes, I was I voilation of their return policy, and I guess gaining $30 was more important than having a happy customer. I have baked cupcakes to give as holiday gifts in the neighborhood and at work. This year I ran out of the inserts that hold the cupcakes. I called Standard Restaurant Supply and was transferred to someone they said could help me. That person was not even at work but answered the call on her cell phone. She thought they had the item in stock and said she would check and call me on the phone within an hour. Her follow through was fantastic. They had the item. I went in and another employee walked me over to where it was located. This is how the people her work all the time. Their customer service from EVERY employee make me a raving fan of their business. They then saw a manager about 20yards away and shouted to catch their attention. This place is dangerous for my wallet. Open to the Public, very friendly, easy to navigate, and is full of the kitchen equipment of my dreams. I started as a line cook at a local restaurant and soon found out this place supplied a few of our items. We went there that night to expand our home supplies with some needed specialty items. Standards did NOT disappoint and our 4 dollar errand rapidly turned into a multi-hundred dollar dream trip. Seriously... When our ice cream maker blew out a hose 2 hours before a wedding was about to begin, I called down to Standard Restaurant and Eric located the hose, and even offered to deliver it to Ogden when the store closed. He went above and beyond. We drove down and he was waiting with the part, checked us out quickly and the price was really good. This was my first experience with this store and I will surely be back. Ok. Obviously most those posts that are positive are fake. They are full of marketing buzzwords... anyways... FIND A NEW SUPPLIER if you have to buy from them. You might not beleive but this is all true. First experience, I dropped off a piece of equipment to get repaired. Got a call to come pick it up. Came in and no one had any idea what I was talking about up front. General laziness and responsibility shirking is what their answers indicated to me. Made my way back to the repair center to be told they never called. Played them the message. It was the dude right in front me. Told it wouldn't be ready for weeks. It wasnt. Suspect he was pissed I called him out. Next. Went in again to pick up item and speak with someone. Waiting again while lazy customer service reps decided who I needed to talk to. We'll go get someone they promised. Half hour passes. Everyone who was there is gone. Another employee comes up and asks why I'm still waiting. Give her the name and she says I'll be right back. Half hour later, ditto with another employee. Happened twice more, no joke. A promise to go get my contact. The store has now closed. Someone walks up and again asks who I am waiting for. The response, oh she left an hour ago. I waited 2 hours, lovely. Today, after 6 of our stores have had the same equipment malfunction they refuse to honor the 5 year warranty. They've already owned up to 6 but for some reason are drawing the line at 7? Same contact, now won't honor the warranty. Logic escapes me here. Don't call. They aren't there and they won't return your call. No one downstairs up front can help you. Accept that. Just walk upstairs or back and start asking questions. Open a supply store next door. I like this place. Used to own a restaurant. Keep going back for things in my own kitchen I used to use in my commercial kitchen. Great prices, great selection, friendly and helpful staff. Locations throughout the western U.S. They do a huge business for residential users. Don't be intimidated by the fact that they sell mostly to businesses. The place isn't exactly what I would call an upscale shopping experience but there's good stuff to get and great prices to pay for stuff that would cost you twice as much at Spoons N' Spice or Sur La Table! read more

Ordered a fan motor, when I received the motor it was damaged in the box. I contacted them and sent pics of the damaged. They responded that the motor was used wouldn't be replaced. I sent them more pics of the motor including the shaft where the fan would be mounted, and there were no marks on it, showing it has never been used. No reply. Will not do business with again. Stay as far away as you can from this place. I was quoted a price over the phone for $2 per melamine plate. I placed my order and they took my CC info. A few days later I received a call explaining they are not willing to honor the original quoted price. Instead the owner Ellery told his employee to charge me $6 per plate. I was paying $2.50 for these plates from another company that went out of business. Ellery ended up acquiring their inventor I'm sure well below cost and is simply being way beyond greedy. I tried numberous times to call Ellery and he never returned my phone calls. Every time I called the receptionist or salesman fabricated a story as to his whereabouts. After about 8 phone calls later I realized Ellery is simply an unprofessional coward. I was only trying negotiate a fair price but I could even get this idiot on the phone. We have over 100 units in our franchise and I can assure you Standard Restaurant Supply won't show up in our directory. Do yourself a favor and don't shop here! read more
