    Banh-Boli
    Travis P.

What an interesting spot. It's a ghost kitchen in some warehouse and you order through a tablet. I ended up getting a banh-boli which I guess is a fusion of banh mi and Stromboli. The flavors were actually pretty cool and conceptually it was very new to me. Overall I enjoyed the food and pricing wise it wasn't bad. It's not like a comfortable restaurant or anything but they do have a few tables to eat. Took a while to get our food, like 20 minutes. Would try out some other things on the menu if I were back though. Parking - Street parking outside but it wasn't bad since the place wasn't busy.

I'd been wanting to try this place since moving to salt lake, well before they moved into woodbine, and I'm so happy it lived up to the hype. The Banh-Boli was jam packed with filling, which really did give the impression of a banh mi! With most italian food, you can tell how much care went into its production by the quality of the accompanying starch - the stromboli breading was perfectly light and pleasantly chewy on the inside, and crusted on the outside. A masterpiece, served quickly! My only gripe lies with the cost: quality is paramount, which the banh boli has in excess, but I might've wanted just a bit more food for a $17 meal, whether it be an extra half inch of stromboli, or a side of chips.

I've been wanting to try their strombolis for so long. Located inside the woodbine food hall, their food looked so good. I think it was just ok. The bread it was baked in was great but it was just ok. Not sure if it was too salty or if it was missing something. I also got the pickled salad, it had pistachios on it but needed something more as well

How is this place in a food court? The quality level of the food is amazing. Fresh pasta perfect. Pesto perfectly balanced and full of flavor. Beautifully plated. Will need to comeback and try other dishes before we leave.

Food is 5 stars! The flavor was so good and very creative. As far as the space goes, that's why the rating is lower. Next time, I think I'd order to go. It's not clear when you walk in how to order or if it's even open since you're in an open warehouse space and the kitchen is at the back, and you order on an iPad. The tables look like they hadn't been wiped off in a few days which felt like a small detail that shouldn't be hard to keep up with. And then when I needed to ask for a to go box, I had to call to someone in the kitchen. Food is incredible, I think they just need to work out a few kinks with the ordering/sitting down process :)

Interesting spot! This is actually a rental kitchen area for up and coming chefs or food truck operators. Marcato is the only permanent food service here specializing in calzones. They have very unique offers for calzone innards and some good veggie options. We ordered the beet unit and as mentioned in other reviews, it's quite delicious. It comes out piping hot with a beautiful crust coated with sesame seeds that get a nice and toasty flavor. Also ordered a side of fries, good but not anything that really stands out. Most folks probably order food to go, inside is like an oversized garage. In fact one person almost drove their car into the place while we sat at a table!

This spot is such a fun little hidden gem tucked inside a shared kitchen space. Super chill, laid-back vibe, but the food is the real star here. Everything feels easy yet a little elevated at the same time. The Stromboli is delicious and the fresh pasta dishes are just as good--tons of flavor and really fair prices for what you get. Definitely worth popping in if you're in the area, solid find!

Stopped by this place to give it a try. You place your own order; there's plenty of seating. I got the Cubano sandwich, which was really delicious, and I tried the Cavatappi and cheese, which was good too, but it was really salty.

This place was money! This little gem is located in the Square kitchen so it's delivery or takeout only. We ordered through a 3rd party app. The food arrived fresh and super hot still. The bread is soft yet crispy. I had The Meatball. It's large and flavorful with melty cheese. I really enjoyed it and would absolutely order it again. My spouse had the Banh Boli, ya know a Banh Mi in a Stromboli. He really enjoyed it and again this had a ton of flavor. We probably could have shared, the portions were that large but it's nice to try more than one.

The thin cut fries are so tasty! I like Stomboli's. This particular flavor is not my favorite, but it does pack a punch when it comes to flavor. Next time I'll try a different version. Spoke with one of the owners and gave insight on companies history. Good customer service, and convenient location.

We were quoted a 10-15 minute wait despite there being multiple open tables everywhere, which already set the tone. The person at the front also seemed like greeting guests was a personal inconvenience. Not exactly the warm welcome you'd expect from a place trying this hard to look aesthetic. To make things worse, several pastries sitting in the front display were visibly burnt. Not "artisan charred" -- just burnt. The pastries we ordered were actually good, which makes the rest of the menu even more disappointing. We tried the soft scramble, pork cheek tartine, truffle tartine, and mushroom fettuccine. Everything looked beautiful but tasted either burnt, bland, or both. Every toast item arrived burnt enough that you could taste it in every bite. Our server came by often to refill waters and check on us, but the service somehow still felt oddly impersonal. Since the restaurant wasn't busy at all, it also made us wonder how attentive the service would be during an actual rush. Honestly, this place feels more focused on looking trendy than serving good food. Stick to the pastries if you go -- it's the only thing worth ordering.

Everything was delicious- well seasoned and perfect temperature- soft scramble look yummy - the Benedict so good they made it a yummy meatless dish! The eggs poached well and served with peas a really neat compliment to the dish. Mushroom pasta looked very good and I'll have to order it next time. Funghi pizza was excellent- the béchamel was excellent and melody of mushrooms yummy- crust was good a bit dark on the top but bottom crust good. We ordered the polenta with spice sausage, it was HUGE and can be shared with 4 people. 2 of us could not finish it. Additionally for dinner we got the gnocchi which was quite tasty and the steak special which was similar to a skirt steak. Our server, Ben, was truly exceptional. He took the time to explain every special in detail, made us feel like we were longtime friends, and struck the perfect balance of being attentive without ever hovering. We were dining with our toddler, and he brought over crackers just in case our little one wanted a snack. That level of thoughtfulness speaks volumes. The restaurant had technically closed, but Ben never once made us feel rushed. Instead, he let us relax, enjoy the beautiful patio, and savor every moment of our meal. The crab pasta was a comfort dish for sure, heavily oiled, heavily salted. I would have liked a bit of lemon or herbs to lighten things up, but overall the dish felt luxurious. The tortellini was an umami bomb, incredibly rich, meaty flavor. It's a beautiful space, especially when it's still light outside and the evening sun comes in through the windows. Our server Jordan was excellent. Knowledgeable and efficient. A massive bread basket, which is great for dipping into the anchovy garlic dipping sauce and all sorts of other sauces throughout the evening. And biscotti and a little cup of hot chocolate for dessert. We did not love the pasta sampler we ordered, though. It certainly wasn't bad, but all the pasta was overcooked IMO. I got the Salsiccia e Mare for my entree, and it was fabulous. Essentially a cioppino, but with sausage on a bit of spinach in the middle. The seafood was clams, muscles, calamari, and scallops. My wife had the Pollo della Casa, which was super tasty, but, as with the pasta, we thought the risotto was really overcooked. Had almost no consistency at all. Almost like creamy grits. We also had a special entree of beef tenderloin with mushrooms, shaved potatoes, and an oxtail sauce. We shared it because OMG food coma, which was a great call. We finished with the tiramisu *swoon* and the lemon gelato with lemon juice, local Utah honey, and sea salt sprinkles. I'm not a big lemon dessert fan and I wouldn't have normally ordered it (I had the tiramisu). The lemon gelato with honey had such a pleasantly unusual texture. The honey had the mouth feel of stringy cheese but the flavor of spring. The gelato was delicate and soft and the salt just amplified the experience. Zachary was our server.
