Been here many times. Food is always very good and on point. Andy (owner) is always welcoming and great with customers. Saff is exceptional and quite prompt with filing water, etc. They are always very prompt with service for the buffet and taking orders. First time here. The service was great. Our water cups were always full and everyone had a smile. The samosas were flavorful and the chutney trio was fun. The naan was fresh, warm, and yummy. The butter chicken, tikka masala, and chicken curry were vibrant and exceeded our expectations. The rice was fluffy and light. It's really more of a 3.5 stars. I returned here because last time I came it was amazing. It always smells good in here. This second time was a bit more lack luster as my aloo gobi was virtually flavorless and oily. Also 10$ for a tiny plate of chicken tikka masala appetizer is tiny. The aloo was tiny too and I mean all that goes in it is cauliflower and potato.... Anyways, give it a shot see if you like it. Service is awesome btw they always make sure u have water. read more

Spice of Bombay is a place I've been meaning to try for months. The service here is fine. The restaurant is very clean and tidy. It's comfortable. I arrived about 40 minutes before they shut down the lunch buffet. Most items were still available, but it was kind of the end of the run as I could tell by looking at how much of each thing was left. I almost ordered something fresh, but this was a great way to try many things that they serve here. I loved the butter chicken and chicken tiki masala. Those are my wife's two favorites as well. But the beef curry was the real surprise and absolutely excellent. I had never seen that in another Indian restaurant for obvious reasons. It was truly lovely. I am excited to return to this delightful space and try dinner one evening. The buffet was a little pricey, but I think the best value probably lies in single items. read more

Finally some Indian food in the sleepy bedroom community of Lee's Summit. Newly opened and noticeable that operations are taking shape. Aside from that, the service was great. The food.... Wonderful. If you fear spicy food, rest assured you can eat here and enjoy. You will be asked "mild, medium, hot". I ordered the chicken tikka masala hot and it was perfect. Not overwhelming at all. The veg vindaloo was a bit spicier but still not trying to be an episode of "Hot Ones". The naan was warm, crispy and soft. The offerings also include goat and lamb. The menu has a combo for 2 and 4 that includes the perfect mix of courses. I'm going back. read more

Went with my fiancé to Spice of Bombay for their Sunday Lunch Buffet. Overall the experience was okay. Food on the buffet was warm and the service was attentive. They did have a lot of unique dishes on the bar which was a fun way to try new things. My only things I was a little bummed about was that the buffet bar wasn't very well stocked with traditional dishes. The tikka masala pan had a lot of sauce, but only a few pieces of chicken. There was also no butter chicken, chicken korma or 65 which is always something I love. The complimentary naan was so hot and flavorful, but was very dense and doughy. Overall the experience was good, but for $22/person I will probably need to save this place for more special occasions than weekly visits. read more

Absolutely DELICIOUS chicken korma which is my go to most places and this is in the top. The paneer naan was excellent but we also enjoyed the garlic and onion naan. With Raita which was perfect. The Bullet naan is HOT hot but my spice loving son really enjoyed it, he also drank the coconut soup afterward. Hah! Love the tamarind and mint chutneys but I'd never actually had an onion chutney so that was new. Will be back to try more new items! read more

Came in on a Saturday and ate from their buffet. I saw some reviews complain about the lack of new dishes being replenished and I'd agree. In the 40 minutes my boyfriend and I ate there we saw two dishes refilled out of the many still sitting. Besides this, the food was delicious and very filling. I enjoyed the options and the complimentary naan bread as well. We'd recommend the chicken curry and paneer saag! It was our favorite dishes on the buffet line. The interior is big enough but feels so intimate as well. It was consistently packed but the buffet line flowed nicely and the staff provided excellent service throughout. Would definitely return for the buffet line and to try dishes off of the menu. read more

This is the great new Indian restaurant in Lee's Summit! Our favorite Indian restaurant isn't Overland Park and it's wonderful to have another option locally. The restaurant is nicely decorated, with cloth tablecloths and feels fancy. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful when describing the menu options. We were never left unattended, as many different staff members came by to ask if we needed anything, to bust dishes, and to refill glasses. 4 of us got take-out on a Thur night. Huge menu--not cheap but reasonable prices. Order accurate and timely. Food nice and hot to the door. Excellent Garlic/paneer Naan and one order was large enough for 3 as was the Papadum. Veg Pakora order was very large--we should have ordered 1 order for 4 people. Not greasy, tasty--especially with the chutney and or Yogurt sauce on top. Tandoori chicken was also excellent: good size order, tender, moist, great flavor. My fav was the saag Aloo-medium was a bit spicy and delicious. The Tika masala (we got one mild w/ chicken and one medium with paneer) was not good--both tasted like tomato soup. Overall a good meal and value but I would pass on the Tika Masala next time. read more

I've only picked up food from this place three times and by the second time I was recognized. The third time the guy thought I didn't order a mango lassi (I did and already received it) and asked if I wanted my usually mango lassi. He already knew my order after 3 times being there. Food is always HOT and stays that way for hours. I've had the butter chicken, chicken jalfrezi, and lamb yolk masala and it never once disappointed. Garlic Naan was tasty as well. An Absolute Gem Spice of Bombay Delivers! We had an outstanding experience at Spice of Bombay! From start to finish, every dish was bursting with authentic flavor and perfectly prepared. We started with the Mulligatawny soup, which was absolutely incredible -- rich, aromatic, and full of layered spice that warmed every bite. The paneer stuffed naan was soft, fresh, and wonderfully flavorful the perfect complement to the meal. My wife ordered the chicken korma, and it was fantastic. The chicken was tender and perfectly cooked, and the creamy, delicately spiced sauce was spot on just the right balance of richness and heat. I had the chicken tikka masala, and it was one of the best I've ever had. The chicken was moist, never chewy, and the sauce had amazing depth and flavor. Even the rice was cooked perfectly light, fluffy, and aromatic. You do need a little patience everything is cooked from scratch but it's absolutely worth the wait. The freshness and flavor shine through in every bite. Spice of Bombay has easily become one of our favorite spots highly recommend for anyone who loves great Indian food done right! read more

We came at the beginning of dinner rush and it was just one gentleman serving several tables. He didn't miss a beat and had a great memory!
