Spice of Bombay is a place I've been meaning to try for months. The service here is fine. The restaurant is very clean and tidy. It's comfortable. I arrived about 40 minutes before they shut down the lunch buffet. Most items were still available, but it was kind of the end of the run as I could tell by looking at how much of each thing was left. I almost ordered something fresh, but this was a great way to try many things that they serve here. I loved the butter chicken and chicken tiki masala. Those are my wife's two favorites as well. But the beef curry was the real surprise and absolutely excellent. I had never seen that in another Indian restaurant for obvious reasons. It was truly lovely. I am excited to return to this delightful space and try dinner one evening. The buffet was a little pricey, but I think the best value probably lies in single items.

Finally some Indian food in the sleepy bedroom community of Lee's Summit. Newly opened and noticeable that operations are taking shape. Aside from that, the service was great. The food.... Wonderful. If you fear spicy food, rest assured you can eat here and enjoy. You will be asked "mild, medium, hot". I ordered the chicken tikka masala hot and it was perfect. Not overwhelming at all. The veg vindaloo was a bit spicier but still not trying to be an episode of "Hot Ones". The naan was warm, crispy and soft. The offerings also include goat and lamb. The menu has a combo for 2 and 4 that includes the perfect mix of courses. I'm going back.

    Complimentary Naan with Lunch Buffet

Went with my fiancé to Spice of Bombay for their Sunday Lunch Buffet. Overall the experience was okay. Food on the buffet was warm and the service was attentive. They did have a lot of unique dishes on the bar which was a fun way to try new things. My only things I was a little bummed about was that the buffet bar wasn't very well stocked with traditional dishes. The tikka masala pan had a lot of sauce, but only a few pieces of chicken. There was also no butter chicken, chicken korma or 65 which is always something I love. The complimentary naan was so hot and flavorful, but was very dense and doughy. Overall the experience was good, but for $22/person I will probably need to save this place for more special occasions than weekly visits.

Absolutely DELICIOUS chicken korma which is my go to most places and this is in the top. The paneer naan was excellent but we also enjoyed the garlic and onion naan. With Raita which was perfect. The Bullet naan is HOT hot but my spice loving son really enjoyed it, he also drank the coconut soup afterward. Hah! Love the tamarind and mint chutneys but I'd never actually had an onion chutney so that was new. Will be back to try more new items!

Came in on a Saturday and ate from their buffet. I saw some reviews complain about the lack of new dishes being replenished and I'd agree. In the 40 minutes my boyfriend and I ate there we saw two dishes refilled out of the many still sitting. Besides this, the food was delicious and very filling. I enjoyed the options and the complimentary naan bread as well. We'd recommend the chicken curry and paneer saag! It was our favorite dishes on the buffet line. The interior is big enough but feels so intimate as well. It was consistently packed but the buffet line flowed nicely and the staff provided excellent service throughout. Would definitely return for the buffet line and to try dishes off of the menu.

We had the caramel cream ale, which is in my top 5 beers of all time. Perfectly sweet and light. The peach tee kolsch was good too- a nice balance of peach. The cherry limeade wheat was right on the edge of sour. It was good that it was served in a smaller glass so we didn't do too much of it. We also did a shot of the stonebreaker cinnamon whiskey, which was a really nice collab between fringe and another local distillery. Super smooth with an oaky flavor on the background. Absolutely love the dark carnival decor, especially the pinball machines, the giant skeleton and the patio with a garage door interior. Highly highly recommend on every level. You should go!

There is a story for much of the art work which I will not do a disservice by trying put it in a review. Go there, see it and ask they'll gladly share the story. Second, INCREDIBLE beers are on tap. I tasted 10 during my visit and every single beer was worth trying. My faves were: Freshly Squeezed Blueberry Lemonade Wheat, Apple Pie Milkshake IPA and Calliope Caramel Cream Ale. Finally, the most important part of the operation is the people. Every single person that was present made me feel welcome and like I was already a part of their community. WOW, I was left feeling like I'd made new friends which I know I did. I travel to KC at least once per year and every year I will return to support this awesome brewery. Thank you for a memorable experience.

It was nice so we sat on the patio. The brunch menu is small but packs a nice variety. I ordered the tater tot bowl minus bacon add chicken tinga. It was delicious. The tots were crispy, soft scramble egg, avocado, and cheesy goodness. My companion ordered the belly burger. She said it was delicious ious too. For apps we ordered the hummus. It was good. On a previous visit, I ordered the spicy peanut noodle bowl with shrimp and the dynamite shrimp app. Yum!! Both were loaded with flavor. Forgot to take a pic. From 10-11:30 on weeekends, mimosas are $1.99. What a deal!! And of course I had to try all the flavors! Cran-orange is my fav. They have a great happy hour, daily specials, kids menu, vegetarian menu and some gf options. I will definitely be back to try the pancakes and Nashville chicken Sammy. All the meals came out warmish but my toddler's meal was scalding hot. The teenager didn't like their cheeseburger, the toddler didn't want their French Toast which is wild since that's their favorite thing to eat. My breakfast tacos were flavorless and hubs basic breakfast was tasteless. We left a lot of food on the plates. Not a place we will be returning too. Looking around the place, everyone was ordering lots of drinks. I guess that's how the food tastes better. ‍

Most of my orders have been curbside pickup since it's right around the corner from my house, and the process has always been quick and seamless. Let me tell you about the Great Salmon Caper Sandwich. A soft, pillowy brioche bun, flaky grilled salmon, fresh lettuce, tomato, and onion, topped with a creamy, tangy aioli. It is quite literally one of the best salmon sandwiches I've ever had. When I say I'll never get sick of this sandwich, I mean it. It's a genuine 10/10 and one of the main reasons I keep coming back. The Cluckers are also excellent and come with an absurd amount of food. My only complaint is that the chicken pieces can sometimes be so large that the chicken-to-breading ratio feels a little off. Other than that, they're fantastic. The breading is seasoned perfectly, the chicken is juicy, and the price is extremely affordable for the portion size. The homemade honey mustard is also some of the best I've ever had and is easily my favorite dipping sauce on the menu. Wally's is one of those places that never disappoints. Fast service, affordable prices, generous portions, and consistently great food make it an easy recommendation.
