This is a chicken chimichanga with Mexi rice, refried beans, extra sour cream and some veggies.

A perfectly acceptable Mexican restaurant in Raytown. It's kind of in a odd spot, just off of a drag, in between two main drags. If you're not paying attention, you might miss it. All of the usual suspects are on the menu, including some with seafood. Combos are available if you're interested. A lunch special runs Monday through Saturday from 11am to 3pm. If you're wanting to let loose, a fully stocked bar of your favorite adult beverages is ready for your order. Entrees are served in generous portions, so you won't leave hungry. In fact, if you're counting calories, you might want to ask for a box to go. Service was kind, personable and helpful, though it was slow at times.

I came for a cocktail, it was good. A few different sizes/flavs to choose from depending on how you're feeling, love this. Service was good & prompt too - chips & salsa served at the table.

Authentic Mexican! So we came here for the Margarita pitchers. They're super cheap and you're gauranteed to walk out the door leaning. The beers are cheap too! The chips and salsa was suspect though. The chips were stale and the salsa tastes like cold Spaghetti-O's juice. We asked for some fresh chips. The server returned with a 'hot' batch. Bit into the first one and still almost broke a tooth. He must have just thrown them in the microwave. But someone in our party who's a regular here said, "Oh no, that's just how their chips taste!" Welp. I ordered a churro and it was dry. Definitely could have used some chocolate or caramel dipping sauce. But if you're looking to get bent on cheap drinks and food, this is the spot.

There were boxes of wine everywhere and that bothered me. It really threw off the vibe. I was seated right away, and my waiter, Chris, was friendly. He walked me through their extensive menu of wines and even recommended a few. I decided to try a sweet wine flight, and he tried to warn me that it was very sweet, but I didn't listen. The flight was super sweet. There wasn't a single one that I enjoyed. Chris did recommend another wine, Fragolino, and I loved it. I could've drank it all day. I wanted a bottle of it to go, but sadly, they were out. Hopefully, when I return, it will be in stock. Next visit, I'll go with something not so sweet.

Our server was super chill and helpful at suggesting wines. We got 2 reds that were a little on the sweeter side which was great because I want to get more into reds but they're usually too dry or too sweet and these were perfect. We didn't get any food since we were heading to eat afterwards. But the menu looked like it was pretty decent. We'll definitely have to come back to try it. I really enjoyed that the owner was there and working. The extra care for the company shows in how well it's kept! Overall, I definitely suggest you check it out. Super cute for a quick date night like we did, a girls night or just to check it out.

4.5 Stars This review is for their Sunday Buy One Get One…read moreFree Bottles of Wine night only. My colleagues and I went to Tannin on a random Sunday based off a recommendation from another business owner. He said that they had a killer wine list and great apps. And he was right! What we didn't know was that we picked the best day to go for a group of 6 people. Sunday's buy a bottle get one free really suited our group. We ended up ordering two bottles of white and two bottles of red ($40-50 price range) and shared those between the six of us. We were also allowed to cork-and-carry any wine that we didn't finish. We ordered and shared the following appetizers: cheese & charcuterie, roasted red pepper hummus, crispy shrimp, pommes frites, and chicken shawarma. All of it was great - especially the chicken shawarma. Why this review isn't 5 stars: We were there to ask questions about different wine profiles and really learn about what we were drinking. This task seemed out of the comfort zone of our server, which we thought to be odd. However, there was another gentleman there (whose name I have unfortunately forgotten) that really helped us out and steered us in the right direction all night. His recommendations did not disappoint. The other reason is that the rest of the menu is at a high pricepoint. We only ordered appetizers because of this. Overall - HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
