I visited Spice Wing Douglasville on a Thursday evening after seeing an ad on Instagram for their wings offering a ten piece combo with fries and a drink for $10.99 plus tax. I called to verify if the pricing I saw on the ad was still relevant since the price was kind of low and the person who answered was so friendly and confirmed that it was a special they offer daily. The Douglasville location is in the plaza with Bruster's Ice Cream & Golden Krust. I honestly never noticed it when driving by the area, but you cannot miss it if you pull into the shared lot. Parking is a little bit tricky with the one way and smaller shared space, but we were able to find a spot. They have a large chicken (see picture) right outside. The inside was clean with a few chairs and tables to dine in. They recently remodeled and I believe they are under new management. Their restroom was clean. The cashier who took my order matched the voice I heard when I called in and he was just as friendly when we were placing our order. There was an overwhelming amount of options to choose from even down to side items, (i.e. fries, wedges, curly fries, etc.), and the cashier was helpful with suggestions so we could narrow it down. I also noticed they have chicken and waffles on the menu. I opted for the teriyaki wings with lemon pepper sprinkles with potato wedges and my son decided to order a chicken sandwich (tossed in a hot sauce) with curly fries and jalepeno ranch. Our combos included a can soda and my wing order included celery, carrots and ranch. Our food came out hot and fresh. My son loved his spicy sandwich & raved about it for weeks after our visit. The teriyaki wings had the perfect amount of sauce and lemon pepper. They were hands down some of the best teriyaki wings I've tried. The flavor truly shined through with a good level of soy sauce and sweetness and they did not overdo the lemon pepper either. They even reheated well the next day in the air fryer. Overall, I loved the experience and the food. Probably the best wings in the area and for a great price too. I would recommend giving them a try if you're in the area. read more

Spice Wing is a great asset to Douglasville. It's nice to have more choices. We've visited 3x since discovering them a couple of weeks ago. They offer tenders, wings, waffles, and fries. They also offer a chicken sandwich. I've had a 4-pc tender and a 4-pc tender combo. Both were hot, delicious, and seasoned properly. In fact, the heat held up from their location to my home. The tenders are pretty big so when I received my very first order, I assumed it would be tough. I'm glad I was wrong. Each time, I could only eat two tenders at one sitting. They have nearly 20 spice options and about 4 dip options. I love that there are 4 styles of fries: curly, straight, waffle and wedge. Other family members have tried the wing combos with no complaints. Don't wait. Try it for yourself. I really went to this place to see how the hot dogs were. Once we got there looking at the menu, they no longer serve hot dogs. I ended up getting 10 piece wings garlic parm and Korean BBQ. Me personal, I like to try people garlic parm but I haven't gotten that right flavor I'm looking for yet (‍ don't ask) the Korean BBQ was delicious with a kick. (Cashier let me try it first) The service: Prompt!!! Now granted it was almost 10 at night and not busy. The lady cashier very patient, helped with suggestions of flavors and all. I did take a glance at their health score, which was a 99. Looking around the place. It seemed very clean up front they did have the front door open but all in all clean and peaceful. Don't sleep on this place! Spice Wing didn't disappoint. Got 10, half spicy lemon pepper and 5 mild. Mild sauce was thin and juicy and great for double dipping wings after the first bite. Spicy lp was just hot enough for a mild burn, just what I was looking for. Will def go back and try hot sauce next time. Wings are moist bc they're not monster Franken-wings like some other places, but it's enough to be filling. Waffle fries w garlic parm was a happy buttery surprise. This is literally the best hot dog I've ever eaten in my life!!! I ordered the Jamaican jerk chicken dog with grilled pineapples and a few raw tomatoes. It had a dash of some sort of barbecue sauce. Nothing else is needed. It was juicy and flavorful. The onion rings were huge so I only ate half of them but they were great as well. Let me first say it was my first time experience with Spice Wings. Staff was oh so friendly and accommodating even offering to bring my food to the car when ready. Placed my order with few special requests; all flats fried extra crispy with some seasoning on fries. Restated extra crispy and even though he acknowledged requests I got that first since he would not relay that to the cook verbally and only put it on receipt as he did. But assured me they would be. Results - they were not xtra crispy and no seasoning on fries just plain. The thing most important was that I feel it was very near time for a grease change. All the indicators were there. They are going to have to be cognizant of this important fact when preparing and serving chicken. If they accept this as positive critique and act, with their attitude, they could succeed.
