Dr Gargulinski has a great bedside manner, he's highly intelligent and has been able to diagnose issues with me before he even orders an mri or any scan that confirms his diagnosis. This doctor is truly a great find in this valley and I don't see any reason to look any further. He actually cares and uses his extensive training and knowledge to help fix things the safest way possible that can help make your quality of life as good as possible. I used to see an Orthopedist for years in Temecula ( off Winchester and Ynez), but since he retired, the level of care the remaining doctor that I saw gets is a zero star. Example: he x-rayed my hip area (severe pain) and refused to tell me or show me anything even asking multiple times "what does my x-Ray show". Proceeded to inject a cortisone shot in my hip bursa (made my pain worse), and instead of him ordering an mri, that was it. He threw his hands up. Well, Dr G actually did what a doctor should do (mri) and found moderate herniated discs which now that I have a legit orthopedist are being treated modestly for now. The office referred me to a great Physical therapy in house and then ambulatory. The full recovery is long (about 5 months he said) but my pain is very well managed and although I'm walking on a cane I'm fully independent. I'm an ex-ballet dancer who broke and dislocated my ankle from slipping off of a curb in tall flip flops LOL (it's true...)...There is more metal in there than bone ;D! VERY stoic...but very patient and answered all of my questions. He worked out a major good deal for me on the cost of my surgery because it was before Obama Care and I was uninsured. I will never forget his generous gift to me at a major time in need. He did a wonderful job and I'm back to yoga and hiking with no ankle aids (not back in heals). I hated the staples. I had an unremarkable MRI(lumbar), though I requested both lumbar and thoracic. At the followup visit, I asked if I should have an X-ray to rule out vertebral fractures. He said, " what do you want?" I asked for his advice. He sarcastically asked my husband if he should get an X-ray. He said I was chasing diagnoses since I saw a cardiologist to rule out heart as the source of pain. He was completely inappropriate. I have never had a more inappropriate interaction with a physician. I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for back care. I have seen all other doctors in this office without incident.

I had originally been referred to a different ortho specialist and had a horrible experience there. When I asked to get a new doctor doe a second opinion I was sent to Dr. Pacheco. Now when I first went to see him I didn't expect much, I knew my back was bad and there probably wasn't going to be many options for me. But Dr. Pacheco was a kind and understanding person, and luckily enough he had experienced similar people with my type of pain. Ultimately he provided me with the option of a spinal fusion, I won't lie I was nervous, but I could tell Dr. Pacheco was trustworthy and he was willing to give me another shot with a repaired back. It might not be brand new but he fixed me up. Dealing with chronic back pain as bad as mine really had me in a dark place mentally but Dr. Pacheco was able to give me hope again.
