They don't care. I tried to get my mom in who is a patient and she can't even walk and they said 2 1/2 weeks out. Horrible service

My three year old son needed dental work. His dentist uses Apex at her office for general…read moreanesthesia services (which are required at my son's age). Leading up to the procedure Apex was good with communication, paperwork and confirmation. We arrived early morning on a Wednesday to have the procedure. We were given instructions on holding and comforting our son as he was being put under. Once he was asleep everything seemed to go smoothly and was over in a couple of hours. We were asked to come back to where he was waking up. I was told my son had just been given a narcotic which I found a bit odd since nothing had been mentioned in the waiting room. That day my son was of course groggy and tired. Later that night, 12 hours after surgery he had fallen asleep. He woke gasping and coughing and couldn't calm down like a panic attack or asthma, nothing like I have seen before. After quite some time we decided to call 911. My son calmed down and the paramedics said that his vitals all looked good, so we did not end up going to the ER. Strange waking from sleep, anxiety and pain continued for about 72 hours after the procedure. Drug sensitivity/allergies/reactions can happen, that I understand. However there is a much bigger reason you should never use Apex: should you have an emergency after general anesthesia they will be completely useless to you. After speaking to Apex's on-call anesthesiologist, he told me he would call me in the morning to figure out what might have gone wrong and what narcotic was administered. He didn't have access to our records. I never received a call back from anyone with a medical background that next day (Thursday). What I did receive was a phone call from a rather unprofessional office employee at Apex who called to ask "how is your son doing?" I told the woman my son's experience, and that I was very anxious over 24 hours later to find out what narcotic had been administered. She said that nobody in the office had received the logs yet, but that they would get back to us as soon as possible to discuss. It is now midnight on Sunday. Nobody ever called us after that 911 incident to discuss what part the drugs may have played or what drug was administered. These are young children we are talking about undergoing general anesthesia, and there is zero protocol or system for actual problems occurring after you leave the anesthesiologist. I'm both disturbed and concerned about this company's negligence and incompetence. BEWARE!!!!!

For me, I have always been treated really well here. Yeah, sometimes there is a wait, but I went to kindergarten and learned to wait my turn, and I don't automatically assume my health issue is more important than the rest of the world. You people need to grow up and be grateful anyone still wants to work in healthcare these days. Anyway, I have been here for emergencies, lab work, and scheduled procedures. I have always been treated kindly with proper attention to my needs at the time. While I hope no one ever has to go to the hospital, I hope you go to Valley because other hospitals in the area really aren't great.

Dr. Falco was nice, cleaned out my ears each appointment but only prescribed me ear drops that did not work. At the second appointment, he didn't really know what else to do so I switched to see Dr. Van Buren. Van Buren was the worst doctor I've seen in 15 years. Bad attitude and wouldn't help me. When I described how intense the itching was and that I couldn't help it, he told me he can prescribe anxiety medication....so let me get this straight. Instead of fixing the problem , you want me to mask the symptom and just take anxiety medication? Unbelievable. I've never been more angry in a split second than that. Completely dismissive and rude. The second appointment I had with him, he didn't clean my ears, spent 5 minutes with me and told me to keep using the ear drops that haven't been working. $100 for that appointment for him to do NOTHING. I asked what he thought was going on since no one had told me. He said he thinks it's eczema and that he sees thousands of patients with this every year so I should listen to him. Yet what he's been doing hasn't helped me at all. What a quack. Completely incompetent. I was done with that pathetic excuse of a doctor and clinic then scheduled with Spokane ENT in downtown. The doctor at the downtown location was wonderful. Prescribed me a medication that helped then gave me a referral to an allergist who was able to completely get rid of the eczema. After 1 appointment. Do better Van Buren. If you hate your job this much then leave. I actively tell people to stay away from you and this practice.
