First time here tonight. The restaurant is in what looks like an old church. Very nice place to have dinner. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and offers live music on some nights. I had the Fathers linguine, which were delicious. Very well made and balanced pasta dish with artichoke, mushrooms and garlic. I came with a house made bread fresh out of the oven, baked in a little flower pot. Ingenious! My girlfriend had the philly cheese steak. The deliciously crafted sandwich classic was well made and she enjoyed it a lot. It was served with a garlic herb au jus and chips. The au jus was really good. The chips were fried too long. The service was exceptional. Courteous, friendly and patient. Overall a very nice experience. We will definitely back for seconds. read more

i'm so glad we went here! this place used to be a church, but now it's a restaurant. the menu had a ton of different options and everything looked delicious! everyone at our table (even the picky eaters!) were satisfied with their meals. I think the menu accurately describes the meals, and the wait time. we ordered a few drinks and they were strong, as they stated. our server and other servers we interacted with were all great, friendly, lively and helpful! would love to come back again, soon! it was definitely an experience to say the least! read more

Very nice place for drinks and dinner. The live music wasn't too loud so we could still have table conversations and also the music in the background. Even though they warn food could take 45 minutes, my guess was maybe 20-25 minutes. Maybe because it was Sunday and not quite as busy??? We will be back for sure. read more

When I lived in Oregon I frequented Spinella's on many occasions. It has a warm inviting atmosphere and a number of different events on a regular basis. I no longer live in the area, but traveled back a few months ago specifically for Grease Sing Along night. Also, Michael will always wear a t'shirt with a witty and irreverent saying that is good for a laugh. As for the food, the chef loves to experiment and is really good at it. The menu has items such as Invoke the Artichoke and Appease the Cheese, and drinks like Blueberry Boy Bait, I had to try it way more than once. I was not as impressed as some of the other reviewers. We ordered the asiago mac and cheese with sicilians sausage, coconut shrimp and a hunger relief salad. For the quality of the meal, it was on the spendy side. Not a lot of flavor to the mac and cheese, but the sausage was good. I'm not sure what to think of this place. It was a bit expensive for the quality of food. My family and I dined in around 3:30 PM, they had no servers. Went there tonight. Jazz from MHCC student groups. Great music. This is what jazz is supposed to be. Young people and older people learning their craft and entertaining an audience at the same time. This is a pretty cool place. Just aesthetically, there's a lot going on! Old church, tons of different paintings (probably from various paint night events) on the wall, interesting decor, live music... Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. As far as food goes, the mac n cheese is great!! Good size portions and great flavor. The menu is ginormous, so you have a lot to choose from if mac n cheese isn't your thing. The only negative is that some of the dishes seemed slightly overpriced, in my opinion. Not enough to stop me from returning in the future, but probably only on limited occasions or just for happy hour. read more

Service was deplorable. We waited over one and a half hours to get our food. I flagged the waiter to get a refill on drinks while we waited. He never checked on us, told us timing, or even checked after food was served. Food would have been great if served when prepared. It was obviously under the warmer too long. read more

Interesting setting in an old church - limited outdoor seating, but the chef said they do plan on adding on a bigger deck. Friendly chef and staff and we both enjoyed our dinners. Boyfriend had chicken parm and I had a burger with salad on the side since we shared an order of truffle fries. You can tell it's run by chefs/cooks as the front of house is a bit disorderly and the menu is laid out in an odd fashion, but the food is good and the setting unique. Got to the restaurant at 6 pm and ordered drinks shorty after. After receiving drinks and ordering our food the server didn't come back around until 7:30 pm to say they were backed up. Offered us a free round of drinks. Different server came back at 8:05 pm and said it would be another 15 minutes until our food came out. We told them we would like our drink tabs so we could leave. Server gave us attitude because we wanted to leave after waiting 2 hours for burgers and pasta. Extremely disappointed and will never go back ever. read more

Came here on a Saturday evening, all of the outdoor seating had been reserved already as there was a live band playing. We came inside and were not greeted for about 5 minutes. Finally someone acknowledged us and said they would be right with us. After another 5 minutes or so we were seated. We were to told to order off the small "outdoor" menu as wait times would be rather long off their regular menu. Overall the menu had a pretty large selection and prices really varied by item. We really wanted the Bird Bird Down on their regular menu and ordered it anyway regardless of the wait. The server was really nice and said since that was all we were ordering that she would try to push it up to the front of the line. We also got a round of drinks for our table of 4. Upon receiving our food everything seemed very fresh! The homemade chips were a little lacking in quantity but overall everything was really good. The sandwich really melted in my mouth and the bread was super fresh. I would really like to come back and try some of their other menu items. I feel the service would have also been a little better if there wasn't a full house outside for the live music. read more

I'd like to start off by saying I've never Yelp'd before but after coming here last night I felt I needed to say something about our experience. We were looking for a different place to go and having gone here once and not remembering our experience, thought we'd give it another try. We ordered a chicken Caesar and the Mac and Cheese Asiago. We waited almost an hour for those items! The chicken Caesar was okay. Not overly large. But the Mac and Cheese was horrible!!! I felt like I was eating Velveta and shells with toasted bread crumbs on top. Pricy too!! Would not recommend that ALL. If you want incredible Mac and Cheese go to Skyway bar and grill in Welches!!! Anyway horrible service and food...at least the Asiago Mac and Cheese!! read more

The first time I ate there I thought my french dip sandwich was great. Looking back though - it's hard for any restuarant to screw up on a sandwich. My husband and I went there again for our anniversary. The flower pot bread, though cleaver, tasted off, not like bread, maybe rancid butter. Our dinners were okay. My cesar salad was a bit over dressed especially with cheese. My pasta dish was okay, but needed salt. We noticed there was no salt n pepper shakers on any of the tables. The biggest pet peeve is they advertised like 5 different versions of a Moscow mule but when I asked for a straight up one they said it wouldn't be straight because they dont carry ginger beer! I took only a few sips of my drink and was gross, tasted nothing like a Moscow mule. The waiter politely said that he warned me it wouldnt taste right. Ended up paying for. What a great spot in Gresham. My wife and I went there for dinner and drinks on what turned out to be there 5 year anniversary. When you walk in you're able to just grab any seat or table you want some someone will be with you in just a minute or two. They were super busy but they never made us feel like they were. We ordered the flower pot and the spicy tots for appetizers and both were amazing. The sauce that they have for the tots is drinkably delicious . I ordered the house IPA and it was a tasty beverage my wife ordered some sort of mojito like drink and it was too sweet for me. For dinner we ordered the Bri-leiver which was awesome. And then topped the night off with pana-cota and the chocolate mousse. I was slightly disappointed with the pana-cota because it was slightly warm but the flavor profile more than made up for that because that was mind blowing. The chocolate mousse on the other hand fell very flat. The presentation was awesome but the overall taste just wasn't there and the texture was more like the cheap boxed stuff u can get at Walmart. Overall this is a great spot to grab some drinks and food and maybe catch either some karaoke or some live music. read more

She chose the chicken strips and I decided on the Reuben with spicy tots. Those tots were pretty much just like Cajun tots from McMenamins and their ranch dressing is much better. We went to Spinella's for the first time this week. Loved the menu choices and the fun names of items. We took awhile to pick what we wanted since it all sounded yummy. I had the Asiago mac and cheese and my mom had Mommas marinara (minus the sausage). So tasty!!! We couldn't finish since the portions are big and they gave us cute little rolls backed in a pot (looked like ice cream). Only down side was that the mic on the stage for the live performer was so loud that we couldn't talk (we didn't know that live music was there during the week) and the a/c was blasting (we plan to wear layers next time). read more

Surprisingly amazing food! Some of the best food I've had in Gresham! Fantastic cider selection. Front of house staff apparently allergic to smiling, but friendly, and the chef is super friendly and talented. Love their Paint Nite events! I was early, but the server let me in anyway. I ordered coffee, and was charged $2.50 for a cup of last night's coffee, microwaved. Easy parking in lot, and when that was full, easy parking next to building. A bit of a leg and butt workout since you have to climb steps to get in, then climb more steps to get to the main area. And if you have to use the restroom, go down those steps, and then down some more steps into the lower level. read more
