I re-injured my bad knee when no alternative exercises were prescribed for repeated sled pushes. The coach knew about the state of my knee; he had the same injury and surgery. I alerted the coach and front desk staff of the incident. An incident report was not written and I received no follow up regarding my wellbeing afterward. Subsequently, I put my membership on hold and eventually quit. Same thing happened to a friend of mine who also worked out there. As a former gym owner, I find this unacceptable. **All gyms owe its athletes a duty of care when on their property. Love the gym, but don't feel inclined to go back.

The coaches correct you on your posture so you do not get injured and encourage you to challenge yourself. You can't bring own towel or mat you have to rent or purchase them from them. It's not a lot of money and if I did membership I would buy rather than rent.. I suggest you try it and see if it's for you.. the staff were amazing and helpful with it being my first time.. everything is kept very clean and sanitized!

I've waited almost a month to write this because I wanted to give management the opportunity to address what happened privately. This review concerns one specific male employee. The first time we interacted, he approached me after my workout. I assumed he was new and simply being friendly. During a later visit, however, he spent an extended amount of time lingering near the vending machine directly across from my sauna. He appeared to be occupying himself in that area, but every time I looked up, he was watching me exercise. These sessions involve floor-based yoga and Pilates movements, bending, stretching, and holding positions where having an employee stand outside and stare feels especially invasive. This was not a quick glance or someone briefly checking the facility. He remained directly across from me and repeatedly watched through my workout. During another session, I suddenly received follow requests from him on both Instagram and Facebook. We had never exchanged names or any personal information. Our only connection was that he worked at HOTWORX and I was a member. I cannot prove exactly how he found me, but I was immediately concerned that information available through his job had been used to locate my personal accounts. That wasn't flattering--it was alarming. I began changing my workout times specifically to avoid him. Then, one night, he left the building while I was still exercising. When I came outside approximately 20 minutes later, he was still sitting in his car in the parking lot and looking at me with a smile that made me extremely uncomfortable. I was there alone and genuinely afraid to walk to my car. I reported everything by email to the owner, Christine. She initially replied that she would call me, but I never received a call, missed call, or voicemail. I followed up and received no response. I ultimately canceled my membership online because I no longer felt comfortable returning. HOTWORX is built around members being able to exercise independently, often alone. If a woman reports that an employee repeatedly watched her work out, found both of her personal social-media accounts without being given her name, and was still sitting outside when she left at night, the bare minimum should be a phone call and a serious response from the owner. That did not happen. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this location to any woman who plans to work out alone, especially at night.

She was fully aware of my limitations and we worked well for several classes, Alltho she never remembered what hip was bad. During my last class, my hamstring was severely injured due to a exercise I should never have been instructed to do with my current hip problems. She told me the springs were new and tight and I'm sure that's what injured me. It was too much and she should have known this. My Ortho and 2 other teachers said they would have never let me do the move that injured me with my hip in this condition. I told her about my injury and she was indifferent. 2 months later as she would not refund my 1 remaining package class, I booked a spot. As I walked up the stairs I felt a flood of anxiety come over me and I expressed this to Rhonda. She proceeded to tell me that I was not injured in her class, that I was fine when I left, and she was going to call the police if I didn't leave. I knew something happened in that class, I felt it but didn't realize the severity until the next day when I couldn't walk due to the pain. I missed a week of work and have been in PT for 6 weeks. This has been a nightmare all due to her negligence. I was happy to leave and loose my $70 as I had PTSD the moment I laid eyes on her.
