Came here for dinner on a Tuesday around 6:30 and it was not crowded, but got busier in the next hour. Ordered at the counter and they brought food to us. Outdoor seating only. There were trash can near the tables and we could smell the trash. They forgot our dumplings so we had to ask them for them. The dumplings were like the ones you get frozen at Costco. We got the chicken bowl and poke bowl. Both of these were good with nice flavors. Not a huge portion, but filling. The juices were good too. Staff were nice.

It was so hard to find a restaurant that was open when we tried to have dinner, we eventually realized that spires market was close by and decided to give it a shot. This is a small, hole in the wall place. There is enough room for several people to come in so they can order food, but that's it. There is patio seating in the middle of the little plaza or you can take food to go. We got the bao buns and tuna poke. The buns were ok, not quite as fluffy as we hoped. They were relatively large, so this was a decent sized meal. The meat/sauce were very salty and the flavor didn't really come out. The tuna was marinated in a very salty sauce as well, which was disappointing. The marinade didn't give the fish an opportunity to shine (or possibly covered up the taste of old fish?) and made the poke bowl a salt bomb. Otherwise liked the crunchy strips and the texture of the dish.

I came here on a Friday afternoon with a few friends. It is a casual takeout spot and tables and chairs outside for you to eat right there. I got a fresh juice and was recommended to get half guanabana and hibiscus tea and it was the perfect combination. Not too sweet or tart We also ordered the poke bowl, hummus platter and jerk chicken wrap and it was delicious. Minor note, my friend ordered the shumai dumplings and they are fried, not steamed I ordered the seaweed crusted tuna main course and it was delicious, very fresh. Staff is very friendly

Really enjoyed this little spot. Outdoor seating only, limited menu and located across from the beach. Everything we tried was made fresh and tasted excellent. We would definitely come back.

Delicious food and friendly service in a super cute little square across from Playa Dońa Lala. Highly recommend. Would love to go back and try the drinks!

Incredible! The man working was so kind and helpful. The tuna poke bowl was pretty perfect- great fish, great rice and seaweed, and awesome sauce. The seaweed crusted tuna was also great, as were the pork dumplings.

Tried: -------- 1. Kimchi bowl - Solid for homemade kimchi in PR. They also pickle all their other vegetables themselves. 2. Falafel platter - Really good and crispy falafel and pita. Hummus also tasted good. 3. Sesame crusted seared tuna bowl - Nice seared tuna. Tuna had a good texture and wasn't super fishy and mushy. 4. Steamed bao bun - Homemade chili oil was good. Overall the bao had good flavor and tender pulled pork. Slightly different from traditional Taiwanese gua baos. Great option for vegetables and light food. Outdoor seating. Food might take a bit but workers are nice and everything is homemade.

Our group grabbed Spire's after a morning at the beach... and it was DELICIOUS. Seriously not just some of the best tuna I've had but the best bao (seared tuna bao was *chefs kiss*). The tuna poke was fresh with an incredible presentation - over rice but wrapped in avocado. The pork dumplings were fried to perfection. A totally stellar meal that I can not recommend highly enough.

So the food is Ok. While the food presentation was really nice and the selection is different than what you would normally find, my wife found the tuna a bit fishy tasting. It's a small counter where you order and you eat outside on metal tables with plastic forks and knives. The place next door that sold drinks was way overpriced ($21 for a bottle of Sami). All in all, I think the menu priced too high for what you get in terms of food quality and ambiance. That's why we are giving them three stars. read more

This place is a hidden gem ! Spires market sets itself apart from the stereo typical and over saturated tourist spots in Rincon. (It's refreshing , literally and figuratively) The sandwiches are made to order so every bite is super fresh. I had the vegan hummus wrap and the butterfly blue tea. They were both bomb! Delicious and healthy! We were looking for a lighter lunch and stopped by Spires Market. The guys working the counter were very friendly and helpful. I don't normally do kimchi, but since it's one of Spire's specialties I decided to give it try. So glad I did. The kimchi was deeelish. Plus, the beet-boiled egg was amazing too (yay, protein) ..... almost like a mild cheese. The presentation was gorgeous and proximity to the most swimmable local beach in Rincon: a huge plus. Plan to return soon. Next time for the Mahi Miso Ceviche. read more

I've used yelp for a long time and I am not someone who writes reviews but the food and service at this place was so good and I felt so at home that I had to write something. I think they just opened and it seems like the perfect place to hang out and spend the day. We grabbed a few salad boxes for brunch, hung out on the beach, came back and got some watermelon juice and used the free WiFi. After going back to our air bnb to get changed and discussing what to do for dinner it was unanimous that we needed to go back to Spires Market to try their ceviche, hummus, and Bahn mi pork sandwich. When we got there we grabbed a table on the patio, the place was packed with beautiful people having a great time. The food was amazing and the music was spot on for the atmosphere. Highly recommended. Considering how easy it is to fly from NY to PR it wouldn't be unreasonable to consider booking a trip just to come to this place to hang out for a few days. read more

Specialties

Healthy options in a fast casual environment with a great patio. Food offerings include handmade dumplings, steamed Bao buns, fresh tuna wraps, falafel plates and sandwiches, dried local fruit, pickled local vegetables and home made spicy vegan kimchi. Tons of vegan and gluten free options for every diet and a fridge loaded with quick snacks for the beach like seaweed salad, home made lemon garlic hummus, fire slaw and more. A seasonally rotating menu always provides a new surprise or something different to try. Everything is served on environmentally friendly products and proteins/produce are all sourced locally.

History

Established in 2019.

Spires Market started as a dried fruit stand at the Sunday Rincon, Puerto Rico farmers market in 2017. Due to overwhelming demand for their products they were luckily able to find a brick and mortar location right off of Playa dońa Lala and have now set up a full service restaurant with a cocktail bar next door.

Tried Spires the other day and ordered all sorts of different dishes between all my friends who were visiting Rincon for the first time. I was hoping to impress them (I've been coming here for 20 years), Spires did not disappoint! We couldn't help but give each other bites of each of our dishes because everything was so good! Bahn mi, jerk chicken wrap, pork dumplings, and the various bowls were amazing! They had options for my vegan friend too! One of our friends had been on the hunt for pickles since we arrived in PR and we finally satisfied that craving with the pickles they make here (so good and refreshing!). We just got their spicy pickles pictured below and we even drank the brine lol. This is just a perfect spot for a Lalas beach day/ a fresh dinner or lunch. We came back as soon as possible to try some more dishes! Highly highly recommend. Can't wait to try their smash burgers across the street and their cocktail bar next door! read more

If you are looking for a healthy, casual and quick but great tasting meal this is the place. Maybe you also understand that "healthy" doesn't just mean "Kale Salad"! These guys are great and most of it is made from scratch! I have never been to rincon before this trip and I've heard that the food wasn't so great. It's the year 2020, thing are changing and these guys set the bar up! My friend Peter and I got a bahn mi and a bowl plus some dried mangos with chili to die for and a To-go jar of sweet pickled Puerto Rican peppers!! Amazing food!!!! Cannot come to rincon and not come here to eat. They slow cook their pork for 12 plus hrs. Ordered shrimp shumai....delicious and it just kept getting better. Spicy Japanese noodles were fantastic and to top it off the pork bao buns were over the top yummy. Fast and great place to stop and grab a bite before or after the beach. Tables right outside so you can eat in the fresh air! Will definitely be back!!!! Thank you so much for the great service and great food read more

agree with the other posts! this place is a hidden gem in the kiosks of ventana al mar. i found it by accident stumbling off lalas beach. i had the kimchi box which is vegan and has the perfect amount of spice and my friend got the avocado box with quinoa. both were great! my only knock is that it is hard to find if you aren't from the area but the food was definitely 5 stars! i hope i will be back in Rincon soon to try the rest of the menu! read more

We were in Rincón for a week, and ate at Spires at least 5 times. The Soba noodle special, buns, veggie dumplings, jerk chicken wrap, the avocado plate -- everything was so fresh and flavorful. Everyone working there was so friendly. It was a perfect spot for some delicious food during a beautiful beach day. Looking forward to going back next year! read more

Spires market is so fresh and delicious. You can really tell the owner Boz cares a lot about the products he puts out. It is the best place in Rincon to get a fresh tasty lunch and then walk steps on to a perfect beach to enjoy it. Their beet eggs are the best! The tuna bowl always super tasty - plenty of fresh fish plus thoughtful sides. The Kim chi was especially good. The downside of this place is the flies. There's a big drainage ditch a few steps away and there was a bit of a swarm after we got the food. read more
