Dent prevents handle from properly retracting now. Worked fine prior to flight. Now it's broken and your fantastic airline

If I could rate spirit airlines a -7 stars I would. Thanks very much spirit for damaging my checked bag's handle, allowing me to submit a claim and then denying it based on "wear and tear." I'm glad you feel that a damaged handle (while retracted) counts as "normal". If we never have to fly on your horrific airline again in our lives, it will be way too soon. Thanks for absolutely nothing

At 1236pm I got an email saying my flight was changed from 305pm to 4pm.

Wow where to begin. You can definitely save money but you get what you payed for! My flight was originally at 305pm. I got an email at 1236pm that my flight was changed to 4pm. Got to the airport around 3pm and I got an email a couple minutes later saying that my flight was now at 320pm. I rushed as much as I could but ended up missing my flight. I called spirit and the person who answered just have a little laugh and said it was due to some communication...that the flight was actually never delayed and the email was sent accidentally. When o asked if could be put on a different flight, they wanted to charge me $99 ...this was their mistake! Told her the least they can do is give me a refund and she said it wasn't guaranteed and that I had to call customer service. She said it was my fault I missed my flight. I was supposed to know that the email was a mistake? Ok? Well now I pretty much donated money to Spirit because something tells me they will not want to give me a refund. If you can book somewhere else, avoid Spirit!!!

#SPIRIT Airlines cancels my midday flight and rebooks me on a flight at 5AM. Asks me to confirm or cancel reservation - Cancelation option is for a 90 day flight credit, not a refund. So I go on chat as the email instructs... 3 hour & 40 minute expected wait. Never mind these budget airlines being a good deal - baggage, seat assignment, no wi-fi or inflight services without paying thru the nose. And when they cancel or over book, there are no options but to file a complaint. NOTE: CAncelled flights are worth up to 10x the ticket cost up to $3500. WHERE HAS CUSTOMER SERVICE GONE??? Auto-bots, AI phone systems & the Philippines! LAME! #spiritair

It's never a smooth schedule. I've had my good and bad experiences flying with them as a card holder. My understanding of what this company was growing up and how I was treated as customer "back in the day" has changed tremendously since then. The friendly skies, the "on time machine" and "something special in the air" is a far cry from what it was then. They've failed on almost every level of the things they upheld so vigorously during the 80's. "Doing what we do best" isn't what we get nowadays. It's the sign of the times I guess, but honestly such a shame too! You're paying a high premium and having to do most of the work yourself when entering the airport. Staff is simply there to socialize amongst one another & if you have questions or need guidance they seemed more bothered by that, that you've interrupted their conversations. The on board staff is just going through the motions without any type of respectful greeting, personalities are as dull as a butter knife, zero friendliness and lack of appreciation of their passengers. As a valued member, I will continue to hope for the best, but will always be prepared for the unknown and what my experience has been lately versus what my expectations are moving forward with this airline.

This is bigger and a little roomier with larger overhead bins that you stand your carry-on upright not laying down. The only problem is that if you have an aisle seat you are constantly being hit every time someone walks by as the aisles are now smaller. They did ask for volunteers to check bags for free as it was a full flight, which some people did do. They served us a package of Remy's Grahams Cinnamon Crackers and Stellar Mini Pretzel Braids as snacks. They do have an array of free and hot beverages as well as beverages for purchases. The flight was very peaceful. Our only complaint was the plane was freezing cold and even though we asked several times if they could turn the heat on, it remained cold for entire flight. Note to passengers, bring a sweater or blanket to keep warm. The pilots did a skillful job on take-off and landing.

Southwest has undergone some changes recently which most travelers are aware of at this point…read more Instead of their famous open seating, now seats are assigned. Front of airplane seats are generally more expensive now. In addition, the first 6 rows of seats now have extra legroom, reserved overhead bin space and an extra snack/premium drink. The tickets cost more of course. In terms of luggage, two free checked bags are no longer automatically free. You have to pay $40+each checked bag unless you have a choice extra ticket or you have a Chase Southwest credit card where you get one free checked bag. Also if you book a Southwest vacation, you also get two free checked bags. Is life better now than in the past? from a strictly price situation, no. Old Southwest and their two free checked bags were unbeatable in price. However, an airline has a right to do what it needs to do to survive and life without Southwest Airlines is much worse. As a consumer you have to of course get their credit card now to fully maximize on savings vs in the past. That sucks but what can you do? But now there's really differences if you're willing to pay more. On the confort and stress level situation, assigned seats are better. Gone are the days of ppl taking advantage of pre-board policies by pretending they need a wheelchair to get the front seats. Gone are the days of checking-in on the app 22 hours ahead of time instead of 24 hours ahead and being assigned a B55 boarding assignment. No more saving seats either. Assigned seats eliminate all that. There's still some improvements to be made but the boarding system is better now. Service remains Southwest friendly and professional so that's of course good. Operationally Southwest is still very efficient and quick. Overall, i still love the Luv airline as it keeps positivity in the air.

However, the return flight was fraught was frustration and disappointment, including a total of 5 delays for a total of 7h and 29m sequestered to gate 7 in Rapid City's airport. I was pretty frustrated and angry, but once I learned what the company did in attempts to prevent everyone involved from being stranded, I completely understood and am now sympathetic to the cause. I would actually choose Allegiant Air again if their route was the most convenient, even with the possibility of being shipwrecked by them again... because they do try and they do care

This particular experience is regarding the purchase of tickets. I recently learned that if you…read morehave the opportunity to purchase tickets at the counter, you can save roughly $40 per round trip which is essentially the convenience/admin fee online, but there are specific parameters on how to do so... It has to be during their allotted or scheduled hours for the airport Which is extremely limited and as of this review is from 12:00 - 1:00 pm. Every other day they are considered "closed". I did inquire with the agent if it really was only on Sundays, which she said they can sometimes do it during other hours right before or after a flight, but not guaranteed and depends whose working that day. Secondly, though they have various lines and have signs saying "All Services", you have to go to the very end, along the wall for tickets and oddly enough there is no sign. Because the hours are so limited, travelers will book multiple sets of tickets at once and their system or process is not built around efficiency, We had about 10 or so people ahead of us and were in line for almost an hour. Again, some of these travelers were booking numerous tickets, so it would take longer, but they really don't set anyone up for success and you have to provide all the standard info you need for a flight, but verbally then need to confirm. So as you can imagine, not the quickest process. It would make a lot more sense if they have forms that could be prefilled to help streamline the process. We had three round trip tickets to book so saved about $120 for our hour of time, was it worth it? In this particular case, yes, but time is money too, so one ticket, maybe not, but it's all relative. You do also have to pay for parking, which luckily is not too steep in Mesa and was a few bucks for the hour. I do not quite understand why more work for the staff leads to more affordable or cheaper tickets, but is an option for those traveling and if you have many tickets to book!
