As other women entered (all white) they were all greeted, asked if they were finding everything ok and myself...ignored. The women working didn't even bother to look up at me as I shopped with my partner for some time. I had planned to spend some money on several projects, but felt so disgusted I left. Think about how you treat your non white customers, especially during these times. If your goal is to make sure we don't shop there, well congrats.

She didn't have my exact color in stock, but not only did she give me the color number so I'd know what I was looking for when checking elsewhere, she also showed me how to repair and maintain to hairpiece I already had, and gave me tips for styling my short hair so that it would look long and Victorian! She took so much time helping me, even though I wasn't buying anything-- it's clear she has a passion for costuming, and enjoys sharing her extensive knowledge and experience. There were also some cute handmade clothing items and local zines, and they have a small art "gallery" on their largest wall --i was told they have small opening type things on First Fridays.
