Will was rude, dismissive, and made me feel extremely uncomfortable, as though simply being there was an inconvenience to him. And it wasn't just my interaction with him that bothered me. I personally witnessed a couple come back into the store after climbing up from the cave, obviously hot and sweaty from the climb. Will actually told them, "We understand you're hot after coming up from the cave, but we're trying to air out the room and you're airing it with your sweaty bodies." I couldn't believe someone working in customer service would speak to paying customers that way. On top of that, Will was FaceTiming while working at the register. Between the personal FaceTime call, the rude comments to other guests, and the way he made me feel like an inconvenience, his behavior came across as incredibly unprofessional and unwelcoming. It's a shame because the cave itself is fantastic and such a unique La Jolla experience. The attraction deserves five stars, but the customer service we experienced from Will was honestly terrible. Management really needs to address how guests are being treated.

While in the kayak the waves were a little rough getting past initial hurdle then it was smooth sailing--in other words, first it was sour then it was sweet. As a group we all paddled out to some of the coves of La Jolla for exploration. If you enjoy the ocean and swimming you will love this tour. The La Jolla kayak company have tours and rentals to make exploring the great blue pacific possible. Reservations were easy to make; They also sell items needed including sunblock and lockers for a fee. I forgot my waterproof camera case and they had a few on hand to be borrowed. As mentioned previously, we all paddled out to the coves to frolic in the ocean with marine life. I slip into the ocean, from the kayak, and I was in awe. You'll be amazed at what you see under the sea. I seen the cute orange fish to leopard sharks. There is a trunk which was nice and you can unplug the cars gps if you want to stop and walk around but our gps had a hard time reconnecting but when we called they were able to walk us through . The gps was a little delayed sometimes . But those cookies that were listed on the route from uncle Bill's killer cookies was amazing . Mine were fresher from the oven so would def recommend them.

He is extremely difficult to communicate with - voicemail box is full, he doesn't answer texts, he doesn't reply to postal mail, and he doesn't respond to his company email through his website. You can bring your own 21+ drinks as long as they're not in glass containers, and you'll need to bring your own ice. Once you're out on the water, it's pretty lively with lots of other boats and people. We played our own music and just hung out--it was a really fun, chill experience. The two hours definitely go by fast, so keep an eye on the time. They're strict about going over, even by a minute, so we set a timer and started heading back 30 minutes before our end time. After some quick research on Yelp, we made our reservations (VERY easy to do) and met everyone on said Saturday at the Black Swan dock. (side note - they want you there 20 minutes early...this does NOT mean you can check in 20 minutes early...chances are very high that the person checking you in is your gondolier, and he/she will be on the water at that moment). We had Conner (VERY traditional Italian name....cough) - and he was awesome. He shared some great details as we made our way along the shoreline, including some of the local nicknames for the houses on the water. He was VERY knowledgeable about when the lake was created, the various depths, and gave us tips on when to avoid being on the water (July 4th was high on that). We brought along our own drinks and snacks, and thoroughly enjoyed our ride. Highly recommended!
