My only complaint is not being informed there is a 4% charge for using a credit card when i went to pay. Plus the staff got pissy when I asked to understand how the bill went from $99 to $103. Perhaps I'm the only one who pays attention. I get that credit card fees are ridiculous, and the cash the credit card company gives me back comes from someplace. My experience is that those businesses who charge a fee to use a credit card, inform you before paying by having a sign at the register so the consumer can make an informed choice. Surprising a customer just isn't a good business practice. Tasty food, a little slow (at lunch) but tasty food. My kids & grand children love the food here and come often. read more

I've always liked this pizza restaurant and both locations. The staff are very courteous, and they even deliver curbside with a smile. The pizza can be a bit hit and miss, but it is consistent most of the time. The crust is slightly deep, the top are generous, and the flavors are good on most of the pizzas. I was a little disappointed when I asked for anchovie on my pizza recently. And they poured what seemed to be an entire jar of them on the pizza. That's the only time I had a pizza where I did not enjoy it as much as I could have. They have a chopped salad that is very delicious. Of the two choices I prefer the one with salami instead of am that just has a more robust and tasty flavor. I've only had their sandwiches once and they were good mainly because the crust is crispy enough and the fillings are ample. I recommend it. read more

I know, sounds hard to believe, but truly they serve the worst pizza imaginable. Think of an apple pie, with the apple sauce replaced with a thick layer of artificial cheese. Topping will be the 4th layer. Husband ordered to go food and picked it up. He got a pizza and it was fine but the other entree was fettuccini and 2 meatballs with marinara sauce. We got fettuccini with some horrible Alfredo sauce. Sauce was chalky and noodles were not cooked properly. And garlic bread was hard and inedible. So sick of ordering food from the local restaurants and.not getting what was ordered or you get what you want but it tastes horrible , or both, which in the case this time. No consistency from one order to the next. With the prices you are charging, get the order right and make it good. I won't be eating Spiros food anytime soon, if ever again. read more

This place is a vestige of an America long dead in most places. Rarely have I been filled with such joy and nostalgia when walking into a place I've never been. This place has soul and character. The manager and staff were friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was spot on. It's a good old fashioned family pizza and pasta establishment that should be protected like a national park and I'll fight any man who says otherwise. We got the house special pizza with no olives. It was delicious all around but the most notable part was the crust. Soft and flaky with a crunch. Besides the poor quality & taste of their food and another disappointment recently on the meatball sandwich put us to shame for our guests. I used to love Spiro's, we have going here for decades but they have gone down hill fast. The last two times we have order takeout the orders have been wrong and when we dined in with our family (12 people) the service was horrible and you had to bring your cup to the kitchen to get a refill on your beverage. This time I ordered six items and 3 of them were wrong, missing items, or undercooked. The salads were fine though. I have ordered the same thing every time I eat at Spiro's so I know I ordered it correctly but when I called up on the phone the girl told me the met sauce wasn't on the ticket and I didn't order it so I shouldn't complain because I wasn't charged. I have ordered a Spiro's sub, salad no olives, with a side of meat sauce for longer than she has been alive, I guarantee it was ordered correctly! I ordered no olives with onions on the pizza and guess what, no onions extra olives. The fettuccine was barely cooked, people like al dente noodles but crunchy is another matter. I was "put on a list" for a pizza that I doubt that I will ever darken their door again to receive. With all of the options out there today it seems like you might want to consider a little customer service to keep your existing customers and not loose them. read more

My mom loves the Aegean pizza, she's been ordering it for years. Shrimp doesn't belong on pizza but I digress. So mom wanted her Aegean for a family dinner this week. We ordered 5 pizzas and a couple side salads to feed the whole crew. I've been dragged to Spiro's numerous times over the years, pizza quality has always been questionable after hearing stories from friends who worked here. This visit was no exception after finding a hair in one of the pizzas. Despite concerns on sanitation, Spiro's pizza is certainly different. The crust is thick, chewy and very doughy. More like a buttery pastry crust than anything else. The sauce lacks flavor and is more like a tomato paste. Then the layer of cheese just surfs on top....I've never understood how they manage to add such a thick layer of cheese that rides the crust like a slip and slide and don't forget sausage pieces the size of small golf balls. In summary, the pizza is edible and nothing like any pizza you'll receive anywhere else. I can't stop my mom from her Aegean when she's buying but if it were my choice I'd pick somewhere else. read more

My wife and I came here for lunch with friends. Wife has eaten here recently with a girlfriend a couple of times, but it's been years since I've been here. Service was quick and courteous. We later found out that our server is also the owner (Stephanie?) with her husband (Jeff). I started with a bowl of their soup of the day ($5.50), chicken & almond, which was very good, but mighty salty. I ordered the half plate of spaghetti with Mizithra with brown butter ($12.25). The spaghetti was perfectly cooked al dente with a perfect chew. The Mizithra was a little on the dry side; could have used a bit more butter and been blended in with the pasta. But in comparison to my wife and one friend's tortellini, it was perfect. Wife ordered her tortellini with pesto and friend ordered it with Alfreddo (both $10.25 ea. for half orders). They both arrived barely warm...actually almost cold. Unfortunately, they chose not to mention it to the owner until the end of the meal, when we were all asked how our lunches were. I would have sent the food back to the kitchen. The upside is the owner was sincerely apologetic and discounted both those meals by half...very fair! Wife and friend took the majority of their pasta home to reheat for another day's lunch at home. We'll return to give Spiro's another try, as we want to support our local, family owned businesses. The owner is working hard to successfully continue this Silverdale classic and very established restaurant. We wish her and her husband well. read more

Atmosphere is old-school pizza parlor, not fancy and a little loud, but the view of the inlet is lovely. We especially like the crustless pizza option and baked meatballs. Not exactly authentic Italian pizza, nor is it New York or Chicago pizza, but it is a step above Little Caesar's, just barely. As a teenager I worked in a family (that did not speak English well) pizza place; I know pizza. This is first time I have had pizza in which the crust tasted like it was made with flat croissant dough. Three of the four meats were under the cheese which prevents the meats from Maillard Reaction. A char on the cheese would enhance the flavor. The locals love it. They are doing a real good job on the infection control and I have been super comfortable with my seating and the help I got getting a seat outside and getting settled. Well now I have eaten and I decided on five stars! The service has been fantastic and respectful. The view and setting is wonderful. The Caesar salad dressing is absolutely amazing! And the big shrimp that came with it were surprising and so fresh. I also ordered the lasagna so I would have enough food between the salad and lasagna for lunch tomorrow. Big mistake either one of those dishes would've been enough for my dinner and my lunch, but I'm not complaining they are both wonderful and I will find a way to finish them both off! Can't wait to come back and I will because I'm staying at the Oxford suites which is a stones throw away. The customer service rep recommended this place and she was spot on! I have typically gone to the Spiros on Kitsap Way. Pizza there is usually pretty good I've had a couple problems here and there but overall not too bad. I happened to be in Silverdale so I ordered my pizza from the Silverdale Spiros last night. The pizza was great which is pretty typical, but what really stood out was the customer service. When I go to the location in Bremerton it's likely that I get a young server with an OK attitude most of the time. Last night someone who came across as a manager greeted me, talked to me, chatted with me even offered to bring the pizza out to me. It was just great customer service over and above anything I've ever seen at the Kitsap location. Great job! read more

We always have amazing food and service at the Spiros in Silverdale . The food never disappoints. I had a pizza melt bowl which is good for low-carb or being gluten free and my husband ordered an old favorite. Canadian Bacon sub dipped in their Roquefort dressing. We always order their side salad which is fresh and delicious. We got three salads to go for at home. We brought our out of state friends and we all enjoyed our lunch very much. Started off with a crappy attitude from the server first thing. I walked in to ask what time they opened as the door was unlocked She said they opened at 11 am. It was 1055 am. I had to ask her twice if we could sit or if we should wait in the car or if it was okay to sit down. Finally, she said we could sit but that she would not come take our order until 11. So we sat down. Every time I asked her a question, I had to ask twice. After which I told her she hadn't answered my questions. At this point, she said she wouldn't tolerate disrespect. Wife got chicken chop salad last night to go. It was ok and wife said it's not as tasteful as usual, she looked at it and commented that it's missing the chicken and salami. I called after eating informed them of what happened and they called my wife back and wanted a pic. She told them we ate it and they said they would contact her back. Never happened. Sometimes this gem can be rather busy and if you are impatient it can seem long to get service...suck it up chilli dog...you are in for a great experience. Tonight's meal was light and quick as we were going to the show after dinner. The blond girl had a nice salad with shreaded mozzarella on top...I went for the Chop-Chop salad...very tasty and filling. Our server was prompt, attentive and represented the restaurant favorably.
