    Not a good first impression. Poorly trained staff who can't manage incoming calls. I recommend installing an automated phone system.

We truly love Dr. Vigue! We've also seen Dr. Jonah who is also very informative, compassionate and thorough. They take incredible care of my two dachshunds, Vinnie and Bruno, and consistently go above and beyond every single time we visit. I recently had both of my dogs neutered there, and the level of care, compassion, and attentiveness they showed throughout the entire process meant the world to me. Kelsey in particular was absolutely amazing. As a very protective dog mom, I was understandably nervous, and I probably called far more than most people would for updates. Kelsey was so patient, kind, and understanding the entire time. She reassured me, kept me informed, and never once made me feel like I was bothering them. Sadly, I had an issue with the staff and was treated very rudely and it was concerning a mistake they had made in scheduling. When I arrived I was rudely told I didn't have an appointment, but when I went to explain that I did and I even received a confirmation, the receptionist snidely replied that I had to make another appt and it would be two weeks before my dog could be seen! She had a serious infection and I couldn't wait that long, so I left and made an appointment with a local vet that had vacancy. Well, time had passed and I thought I would give Dr. Ron's another chance. When I called to make an appointment, I was told that there was "no service" on my account, because I gave a "negative" yelp review!!!!! I'm not one to normally complain, but I felt I was wronged and wanted to share my experience. Warning, if you complain, Dr. Ron's will deny your pet service!!!!!! So, here's five stars!!!!!! I sought out Dr…read more Ron's services to get a quote on a spay for my kitten, but because they could not give an estimate over the phone I scheduled for a $92 initial appointment. I did think that was quite the cash grab, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. After the initial, the quote I received was around $900 for spay, which I thought was outlandish and simply decided to not return. (Spoiler: I was able to schedule elsewhere for TWO of my kittens for under $600) Anyway, it gets worse. Upon receiving a negative internal review from me, they called me to let me know that they happened to be running a promotion on spays. They also let me know there were some procedures they could probably take off to reduce the price (eg nail clipping). Convenient right? I let them know I already scheduled elsewhere, but I was potentially interested in a neuter. This is where it gets even more interesting. Naturally, they jumped on that possibility and "noticed" I didn't get the discounted initial appointment price for my first kitten because apparently I was supposed to mention she was a new patient. You mean I had to see on your website ahead of time and request the discount, rather than just give it to me because it's obvious it would be a first appointment? Ridiculous. But guess what? They were somehow willing to produce a quote for the neuter despite not having an initial appointment, like they required before for the spay. Not to worry, I went elsewhere, to an actual vet who specializes in cats (not a surgery center/spay neuter clinic) and paid around a quarter of the price for both of my kittens who are happy, healthy, and recovering nicely. TLDR: They're overcharging over here.

    BREAKING UP IS HARD TO DO…read more When I decided to stop taking my animals to Dr Gonzalez I thought it would be as simple as informing them and asking for copies of my animals records. There was nothing egregious I simply disagree with a policy this Vet has and a choice she made (that I, as a business owner, would do differently). I had an appointment scheduled for my two kittens who needed their 2nd booster shots. After discussing with my husband my issue, we decided this would be our last appointment here and then I would take our records and find a new vet. HERE'S THE KICKER! At the appointment for the kittens, I asked an office staff to provide our records because we would not be returning. Instantly she got angry. She told me there were plenty of people waiting to take my appointment. She asked me why I was here for this appointment. She told me I should go down the street to another vet. She then disappeared for 5 minutes and returned with another woman who says she heard I was upset (I wasn't, I simply don't agree with a policy and asked for my records) and asks me if I want to talk. She takes me to a side room and tells me if we are not continuing as a client that they will not give the kittens their boosters. If I want to change my mind and continue to be their client then they would give the boosters. NO BOOSTERS??!! All because....we won't be seeing each other again? Save yourself the petty, childish, unprofessional environment and take your fur babies somewhere else!!
