    Lobster boiled with melted butter.

Lobster was cooked perfectly and was delicious! My waitress was super attentive and very sweet. Basically had the place to myself for a Wednesday lunch. My Labrador and I enjoyed the views and would definitely come back.

Seriously skip the other Tik Tok Tourist traps and come to Splash you won't be disappointed. From the beautiful views to the incredible food the vibe is laid back and the staff is amazing. Our waiter Max went above and beyond he made our experience memorable and incredible. The food honestly reminded me of how my mom used to cook especially the Chile Relleno. The portions are huge and the drinks are just the same. I recommend sitting outside and soaking in the ocean mist and I bet you'll find out why it's called splash. Overall it was a delicious meal and incredible experience.

Come for dinner, go upstairs, sit out on the patio and enjoy the sunset and your food. The service was great, the waitress was attentive and checked on us, made sure we have everything that we needed. The lobster was bit chewy, the fried squid was decent - had expected the calamari rings, but they fried the whole squid body and chopped it up before serving. The oysters were ok, the fried whole fish was decent as well, it could have used more seasoning. Started with a beer, then moved on to the Mojitos, which really hit the spot!! If you are in the area, definitely worth visiting - decent food, awesome views!

This was my second time here. Sat outside on the back patio each time. Service is always good and beer is always cold. Got the fish & enchiladas last night for dinner which was delicious - always comes with plenty of sides + tortillas so can definitely share most meals here. Chips & salsa as well when you sit down. Great atmosphere, lots of people having fun and a beautiful view. Even saw people get splashed from a big wave (they sat in the splash zone)! Much better than the overpriced tourtisty spot next door.... Splash, we will be back!

The lobster was worth it! I loved the salsas as well! Especially the view!!!!! The staff were incredible too!!!!

Mango margarita with the weekly carnitas special on Mondays. Be sure to order a few extra tortillas to accompany.

Best mango margaritas with Tajín rim! Always as beautiful as they are delicious. Service is consistently good with large portions. The spicy margarita made from scratch is really good, too. Great ocean views and comfortable ambiance. Service is efficient and friendly. Highly recommended over the other nearby choices. JMO

This place never ceases to amaze me. From the days of its simple big green box-looking restaurant, that sits comfortably on a cliff with ocean splashing on its window panes, to its now newly built extended areas. Looking forward to what's in store for us next. Splash is a must- see. And, whether indoor our outdoor seating, there will always be room for fresh air, an ocean view, waves breaking, and breath taking sunsets. Simply amazing. This restaurant, located on the outskirts of Rosarito, Mexico, has been my favorite place for all my seafood needs. Although not exactly a lobster fan, Splash definitely made sure friends, family and myself kept us coming back. It was a place to rave about. Before COVID "era," $20 lobsters was the thing. Prices were reasonable and honestly, one lobster was not enough. Last week (Tuesday), my partner and I decided to have early dinner at Splash. As always, friendly staff, good music, great outdoor view, and lots of new additional stuff was done to the restaurant since last visit this past summer. Overall, the atmosphere was on point...even without the live band playing. Our order was placed (forgot our servers name), we received our drinks and dish in no time. Our food arrived, all looked great but for some unknown reason, my mix ceviche lacked the usual taste. Besides it being tasteless, it was served on the skimpy side and enough shrimp. I had to squeeze more lemon and salt to add zest. I rarely like using salt, but in this case, it was much needed, unfortunately. The lobster, similar issue. Something was lacking. The garlic butter sauce was much needed but still, it did not have the usual taste. We asked the server about the cook. That maybe the cook was new. He confirmed - it's the same cook. The food was definitely off. Unexplainably off. Our server, by the way, was so attentive and friendly. No complaints here. Even past servers were all good. Dining experiences at Splash were always good. Despite our dismay with our food, we will still return to Splash. It will still be our go-to for any occasion, or, simply, just because. Give Splash a try

Went her with my wife and her cousin. The food was very good. The service was excellent. The views spectacular.

Delicious. The chipotle octopus was one of the best things we've ever tried. Margarita, Michelada, Octopus, Chips/Salsa, Mexican Platter (chile rellano, rice, beans, enchilada) - all of this food, ocean front and live music for only $42USD

It was really fun watching the waves splash on the lower deck. Even though we were on the upper patio we still felt a bit of the mist on occasion and it was pretty fun. The live music was fantastic, a classic set of American music sung by a fabulously talented Mexican band. What we ordered: Lemonade - 4.5* very good and tasted really fresh. If you like lemonade (and lemons) you'll like this! It was almost a little too tart for me but my partner gave it 5* hands down! Mango mojito (no alcohol) - 3.5* very creamy. Doesn't have a very strong classic mojito flavor to it, I wouldn't have known it was a mojito variation otherwise. Passion fruit mojito (no alcohol) - 4* super good! Definitely could taste the mojito under the passion fruit. Loaded nachos - 4* this was bigger than our Mexican Combo. It was really good and we couldn't finish it as we were pretty full from our combo. I'd recommend sharing this with the table. Mexican combo - 5* about half our table ordered this and we were all satisfied. It easily satisfied both my partner and I (I wasn't that hungry to be with) and we honestly could've done without the nachos. The pepper had a nice kick to it. Oh, and the tortillas are amazing.

My family is actually been coming to splash for almost 20 years, starting when it was in the original location down the street. Nick the owner is amazing and this place is like home to me. Go for breakfast and get the Shrimp Omlette and a Bloody Mary as you get you car washed!

This was one of the first places we tried in the area. Warm greeting by staff. Best thing here is the view. Lots of people outside on the deck taking pictures and enjoying the view. The food was ok. We tried the whole fish which my FIL said was ok, maybe needed more flavor and he wasn't sure what kind of fish it was. I had the enchiladas which were also middle of the road. The best thing we had was the clams casino.

    Menu as of July 2024.

Beautiful location with views and quality service. Food was delicious, hot, and plentiful in size. Great place to come for a date night, family dinner, celebrations, etc. Nice areas to walk around also in nearby restaurants with traditional Mexican colorful decorations. Pics of menu as of July 2024.

First things first: ignore the menu, just ask Chef Johnny what he's got & let him do his thing. A lot of times they don't have what's on the menu so you're kind of wasting your time by choosing. We had had ribeye with a red wine demi-glace that was quite good, and fish "mojo de ajo" (with butter & garlic) that was better. Each came with a small baked potato (just the right size) and some veggies that were OK. Dinner included a tortilla soup that I was told was OK and a Caesar salad with very fresh baby Romaine and an eggy dressing. The made-to order guac was OK, but I think they put mayo in it so the avo taste got kind of lost. The chips were tasty (freshly-made) but the "salsa" was a ton of tomatoes with a few onions, not really notable. Chef Johnny once cooked for the President of Mexico; these days he lives in a trailer next to the restaurant with his wife and cooks mostly what he wants. He came out to our table & I had a great conversation with him; he's very passionate about being happy and doing what he wants and it seems to be working for him. The dude can sing, too; he's got a terrific voice & if you ask him he might croon you a tune or two. He's certainly a character and a good guy. There's a full bar and first thing you notice is they allow smoking, unlike in the States. The room is nice but nothing spectacular, and the service is attentive and friendly. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

Although it's not the comfiest place to kick it for three and a half hours for a race, it was a really good experience, and the owner, Karen, is an AMAZING mixologist!!! There were six of us and we sat at the bar facing one TV she set up for us to watch the race on. There was one other group on the other side of the bar, about eight of them, I think. Everyone was eating and drinking and I, being the DD, was only allowed to have one drink per hour BOO. But, I made the most of it. Karen REALLY knows how to make an old fashioned and when I asked her to make one with her best Mezcal, she did and it was FABULOUS. My bestie, wanted a Mezcal cocktail, too and Karen made her one with apple and jalapeno that she loved. The boys drank giant beers. We also tried out some nachos, wings and my dad got a baked potato. The potato was the only disappointment in the experience because it was on the hard side, but otherwise, we had a fun afternoon and really enjoyed getting to know Karen. Its right next to Puerto Nuevo, so a nice place to have cocktails before your lobster dinner and ask Karen to make you something delicious. She really is awesome. Also, if you have some sports memorabilia you're letting go of, a donation helps this SPorts bar have a lot of fun decor to look at. They even have a front bumper of one of Joey Logano NASCAR Fords. Will DEFINITELY return and totally recommended.

We waited by the Bar near the entrance for 25 minutes while all three waiters ignored us, made eye contact, checked their phone and took pics . Another Paton at the bar walked over to us and said they her grandchildren were sitting at a table which was empty except for a few sweatshirts so she removed them and said we could have the table, which was a very nice gesture that we appreciated. We continued to wait for another 10 minutes or so until we had enough with being ignored we left and went to another place and were seated and not ignored, a great meal by the way. My Brother in law was with me along with my son and my nephew. I had seen this place recommended by "The Boredom Report " ( JT my apologies but your guy here is out of line) many times and was excited to try this place as I always am when in Baja. Unfortunately, this place dropped the ball. My Brother in law left a review on yelp approximately 20 minutes or so after our visit and was sent a rather rude and racist message by someone named "Noel' stating that Mexico was in the World Cup and that they were playing in Mexico along with that we were I can't remember if it was Dumb or Dirty Americans so I'm going to go with Dumb for this one, "Dumb Americans" that need to educate ourselves on the Mexican culture and such. Well I'll say this, I too have been in Baja for over 40 years, Noel and never have I had any establishments in Baja ever ignore any customers until last night. If myself and my family didn't love, respect Mexico or its people and culture we would never go south of the border and be ignorant to anything having to with Mexico. But, since you are obviously more focused on Football instead of your business I would imagine that you might not last long with that mindset. Also Noel, please feel free to explain to me or anyone for that matter why you choose to run an American style Microbrewery and Sushi Restaurant and not a traditional restaurant in Baja? Could it be you're were attempting to attract a certain Dirty and or Dumb Americans? Also, please explain me and all that read this how to educate myself on "Mexican Culture'' when you're attempting to mimic two different cultures and yet have no idea on anything related to customer service. Please continue to Just throw out something racial and derogatory to cover up for you and your staffs shortcomings because racism has become a form of needing attention and not truly the issue at hand these days. Perhaps next time any "Dumb Americans" walk in to your place why don't you just refuse service, oh wait you do that by ignoring them and giving a racist rant on culture and education. instead of actually dealing with your staff/business issues. Now I've made some mistakes before with reviews and I generally give a place a few chances to rectify things as I know running a restaurant/business isn't easy and there are things that are out of people's control so I will update things when I return. As I believe this is the only true way of giving a honest and legitimate review. Perhaps next time you post a response you should also remember that there is an e-mail that is sent with your same response to the person that posted the review.Simply changing your response online doesn't change the initial email, and saying "you were busy" isn't an accurate description in this instance. Nice try. TO NOEL I WILL NEVER PATRONIZE THIS PLACE AS LING AS I LIVE! I WILL MAKE IT MY MISSION TO TELL EVERYONE I KNOW THAT VISITS BAJA TO NEVER GIVE YOU ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY TO TREAT PEOPLE THE WAY YOU TREATED US. SIGNED: "THE DIRTY AMERICANS'

The Cook, who is one of the owners really put his heart and soul into cooking and he had just delicious dishes. They had everything from French onion soup to sushi to short ribs. Fast forward to now both of the owners are now gone. Even through all the changes they still had a respectable burger for the area however I went there about a week and a half ago had a bacon cheeseburger, and it was the most horrible hamburger I ever had. I got their bottle of ketchup to do the fries in a little bit on the burger. The ketchup bottle seemed full of ketchup however it was all dried up inside, and only clear liquid was oozing out. It looks slightly pink. It was truly gross. On top of that the place seems super filthy. They totally lost the edge. I'll never go there again.
