I completely understand that when people go for a car wash especially one that costs around $65 they expect both quality service and a professional customer experience. Unfortunately, that's not what you get here. I've visited this place multiple times hoping things would improve, but the experience has been consistently disappointing. The staff at the front are unprofessional, unwelcoming, and don't even offer a basic greeting. It honestly feels like customers are not valued at all. The guy who greets & takes your payment was very nice and gave me an air freshener. The 2nd guy who does the prep was very thorough! Normally my car still has tree sap etc. at all the other car washes, but this guy actually cared to do his job very well and was very polite. The 2 ladies who dried my car were excellent! They took their time and scrubbed off every tiny spec left behind. They took pride in their work which is a rarity nowadays. Normally I don't tip because I can see my car is still dirty. Splash Brothers Car Wash is easily one of the most popular spots in San Leandro--if you show up even 30 minutes before they open, you'll still find a line forming. The car wash itself is solid, and they do a decent job cleaning, but there are a few things that could improve. One irritating detail is how they handle your keys. They leave them right on top of the tires--wet tires covered in road grime--without placing anything underneath to keep them clean. Not exactly what you expect for something you'll be touching right after your car gets washed. Also, they have paper floor mats, but they won't automatically give them to you. You have to ask for them every time, which is something I've gotten used to doing, but it feels like an unnecessary hassle. It's a small touch that would make the service feel more thoughtful if it were just included by default. The guy inside running the gas station can be a bit gruff too, which doesn't help the overall vibe. I've tried tipping generously in hopes of getting more consistent service, but since a different person usually handles my car each time, it doesn't seem to make much difference. On the plus side, I've left large sums of cash in my glove box before, and every time it's been untouched, which says a lot about their honesty. That's definitely a big plus in my book. I get the $15.99 tier and it's good for me. *A towel was included, but now it's $1 which isn't a big deal. I've tried just about every car wash within 20 miles of this place, and I keep coming back here. This place has it on lock! They do an amazing job on your car, and for the price you get a lot more here than most other places. I get the platinum wash, it's $50, but my car leaves looking brand new. From tire dressing, to dressing all the external plastic and black molding, to dressing the dash and vacuuming the cup holders my kids use and out who knows what in, this is hands down the best car wash in the east bay for the price. I dont know how I haven't reviewed this place. This is my go to car wash. They do a really good job cleaning and if they do miss something they have no problem with fixing it. The staff is really nice. They are pricey but the price is worth it. They give you two air fresheners they use to have more scents but now they just have the fresh scent which is fine. I usually will purchase spray inside whenever needed. There is space for you to wait inside and outside. When I went more often I definitely think the membership was worth it. read more

It's been a while since I last had a car wash, and I came across Splash Brothers on the way home. This was probably the most thorough service (inside and out) that my car has ever had! I ordered the full service, but I don't recall the exact price of it. I just remember thinking to myself, "WOW, that was worth it." Just in the nick of time, it started raining. Even on a weekday, there was a bit of a line but they got it going fast. Got the wash and vacuum but noticed they also had mo that payment for all you want to wash! Might be a good option for those who need a regular washing. The washing part was super quick. And then 2 guys descended on the car and did a thorough vacuum and wipe down of the interior and trunk. After about 20 mins of that, they called me over. I asked for a bit more vacuuming in the trunk and a wipe down of the glove compartment and they were very happy to oblige. Even did another wipe down of the windscreen! Nice guys. There's some benches to sit on while you wait in the shade but they were pretty packed! I let the ladies know they were there. They removed a few but definitely not all. Had my animals in the car so did not get out to inspect their work. I've been coming to this carwash for a number of years; I also have visited others in the area and overall this one has been the best. Until today. I got in pretty fast, just a few minutes after I dropped off the car it followed several other vehicles through the wash tunnel the one person worked on it for a full hour. I bought the Platinum wash, the middle package. The woman working on it wiped it dry, but did not check to see that it was clean. The top of my car still had dirty spots, and the front was still covered with bugs from a recent trip to LA (they don't prespray with bug remover and hand brushes like Superior Gas station on Washington Ave does). The interior was supposed to have both a wipe down and a dressing applied, but there was no dressing applied. There were spots on my dashboard that werent wiped clean either. I had 10 minutes to get to my next appointment, so I didn't have time to find a manager to get the whole car washed per the Platinum package description. I needed to get gas (on site) quickly afterwards, and while the tank was filling I started to scrub the bugs off the front of the car. The guy who collects money at the drop off site was in clear view of me and watched me do this. There were no incoming or waiting cars. He had time to see if a customer didn't get what they paid for but he watched me and looked down at the high table. It was 30 minutes before closing, probably didn't want to take the time. Seems no one takes pride in their services these days, so I wasn't surprised. I noticed they are recruiting more staff, though they had a lot on site working. Maybe that will help increase the chances of getting a full wash done carefully, resulting in a clean car free of bugs and bird poo. I don't think I am going back if it's gonna take this long and cost this much and I still need to wash my car more in the end. Disappointing, but I have had better results there in the past. It's a crap shoot. I'm going to stick with the carwash at Superior Gas on Washington Ave. It's only an exterior wash, but there is better quality control at half price. I can go there and vacuum and wipe down my own car in the time it took me today to entrust them to wash my car. read more
