I've been going to panache in Danbury for years but decided to try a new car wash. I chose splash and when pulling in the menu was confusing. My wife saw a sign that said one of the services was only 24.99 today which is usually 34.99 so I picked that. Then he tells me that's only for interior. So the mad recommends I get that with a 9.99 basic wash. I go inside and the lady then explains to me that the 24.99 sign that was labeled as a today only special was only for members. The total came to 49.00. I wasn't very happy. Although they did a decent job I wasn't happy with the price and felt as I kinda got fooled with the trickery of signs. Do not go here!! They broke the power seat in my car and refused to take responsibility for it. I am over six feet tall & drive with the seat all the way back, when my car came out the other side of the wash it was stuck all the way forward. The kicker was they said they never touched the seat. I personally like splash because it is one of the few options around this area (and there aren't too many) that offer "touchless" car washes. The hand washing is much gentler on delicate and older cars and is the main reason I chose to go here vs the less expensive (not to mention old and busted) option a few more miles up the road. There are a LOT of options on the menu, so many so that it CAN be confusing at times. One option that I use the car wash for (vs washing myself) is the undercarriage wash. I actually wondered how good a job it does that I took my truck through it one day and smeared the spare tire (that sits on the undercarriage below the back hatch) with shaving cream and took it through. The undercarriage wash did an adequate job at removing most of the cream, but there was some still left behind so don't expect all the salt in the winter to be removed either unless you go several times. Speaking of going several times, being we had a rough winter and there was a LOT of snow (and salt to go with) this year, I decided to go for a month of unlimited washes. BUYER BEWARE on this one! It pays to read the small print - and I did - AFTER I purchased. What they really don't tell you (tho claim to - see later) is that by purchasing the unlimited wash you are signing up for a RECURRING MONTHLY charge at whatever level you sign up for. I caught this when I was reading the paper a few days later and carefully reviewed what I needed to do to cancel. They say you must notify them IN PERSON no less than 7 days before your "membership" is due to renew. Okay, no problem right? Heh. I went in the Friday before (it was due to renew the next Friday) and notified the lady at the desk while having my car washed that I did NOT want renew. She acknowledged my request and when I asked if I would be able to wash next week (cause, hey....I'm cancelling so I wouldn't put it past someone to try and tell me that I'm cancelled so I can't use it, blah blah blah). I was told that I would get my wash(es). Cool. No problem. I hang around waiting for my car and then leave. Nothing else from the lady. Next week rolls around and I don't get to use my last wash because of another storm. Swell - no biggie - luck of the draw. But of course my credit card gets charged for another month of service a few days later! I go back in to speak to them the next week and the manager comes out. Now granted he refunded my money for the renewed month he proceeded to tell me that the lady (who wasn't there - another lady was - different shift) who sold me the plan told me that it was a recurring charge. No "should have"....just that she DID. Uhm....no she didn't. The manager insisted several times that something happened that didn't. Working for him for 7 years, excellent worker.....etc etc. Doesn't mean she told me about the auto-renewal - I wouldn't have done it if she did! And then he asked if I "signed the book" when I came in to cancel. "What book?" I say? Apparently there was a notebook that they log cancellations in and you have to sign (not mentioned AT ALL in the contract). The same lady that didn't articulate verbally the finer points of the plan also conveniently forgot to have me sign that. Stellar. Guessing that was my fault too? Anyways, I digress. Would I go there again for a simple wash, maybe. I'd sure as hell be very watchful to make sure I'm not getting the wool (pun intended) over my eyes and watch the staff there very carefully. And I SURELY won't be signing up for the unlimited washes ever again unless ownership overhauls that whole process. CAVEAT EMPTOR! read more

This is the second time I brought my car to Spash Car Wash in Brewster and noticed that my valve caps from my rear wheels were GONE!! The first time, all of my valves were missing. Did they fall off? Doubt it! I think someone removed them I won't be back! read more

Took my BRAND NEW vehicle to splash in Brewster to have a regular wash, ALL 4 of my brand new black wheels are now scratched, no-one else has touched the car, I haven't even had it inspected yet. Jesus' answer was to polish the wheels, and tell me they never touched the wheels, but tell me they only touched with a brush which is what scratched the wheels. They are very careless with your vehicle, if you don't mind scratches on your vehicle by all means go there, they'll put scratches on free of charge. TOUCHLESS car wash is worthless if you actually want to keep vehicle scratch free. BBB here I come! read more

Splash car wash in Brewster is of the "by hand" type - no machines. That's good and bad; good as there are no machines and brushes blasting your car, bad because the wash is only as good as the two guys and their sponges. That being said, they do a very good job - I do their "unlimited" plan which is a great deal, and their detail job this past summer was very well done. read more

I use to go here all the time. Came today and now I can get door wiped down and vacuumed out with out paying an extra $11 dollars when in the past it was included. I will never come back again. Drive away!! Dont even bother going here. My husband and I just moved here and I needed to get pictures taken of my 2016 mazda cx-3 for the insurance company. So i took it to the splash carwash in Brewster right down the road from our insurance company. Less than a 1/2 mile. When they were done and i parked the car at my insurance broker, i noticed two horrific scratches on my trunk. Looks like someone took a knife to it. Through the damn paint! We just moved from lower westchester and I have never had a problem anywhere down there ever! So, My car, still being wet, we drove right back and demanded to speak to a manager. It took this man forever to come out and address the issue. So Some brainless minion of his came out and she insisted they could never have created such scratches. I was furious. When this enormous manager finally graces us with his presence, he informs me that Splash car wash does not use machines inside their car washes. I could not believe what I was hearing. All of the years as a child driving through the carwash and seeing the machines making my imagination go wild must have really been just that! my imagination. Not only do they practice bad business here but they are liars. He was completely rude and insisted I did this myself. The Fact is i removed magnets from my trunk before entering their car wash. I would have noticed those scratches immediately. I hate these people. They are careless and rude. It will cost me over $1000 to fix this. I have a pearl white car. Furious! As a business owner this is not the way I would have a handled the situation at all. They advertise for a detailing company in their waiting room for christ sake. They are lousy and shameful. Shame! Worst $25 I've ever spent. Dangerously streaky windows inside and out. Dried the car with dirty towels that left the car looking worse than before they cleaned it. Didn't armor all the whole tire. Never saw any wax, sealer or wheel bright being applied which I payed for. The car is dark gray which hides the dirt well. Wasn't even that dirty to start and it looks like crap. read more

First of all, you claim that Splash only accepts credit cards for the monthly memberships because you are trading guaranteed payment for maximum car washes. Since when is cash not a guaranteed payment. Tho, you do accept cash if a customer wishes to pay upfront for an entire year. Hmmmm, sounds shady to me. Also, you claim that the reason you can not cancel a membership on the phone is due to the fact that memberships are pd with credit cards & customers must show identification to make any changes. Hmmm, thats funny seeing as How the last time i went to Splash to cancel a membership, I simply gave the cashier my name & she wrote it on a list along with other members that wished to cancel. I never showed ID or signed anything. Now, I'm sure you are going to respond to that with a statement of perhaps the cashier was new or misinformed of Splash policy. Sorry, but the girl is not new. She has been there for a long time. Now, to address your statement about the manager closing early due to inclement weather. I would certainly like to know how you consider a beautiful sunny 85 degree day inclement weather. On top of this, the manager does not even post a sign as to why they have closed early. Do you not value your customers enough to let them know why you are closed early? I simply feel that I had an obligation to respond to your statements in order to clarify things so that your other customers are not led to believe that their concerns do not go unnoticed or that your answers to them are truthful. Today I was not please with my service because of how I was treated by the cashier. She was on her phone when I approached the counter and continued to stay on her phone instead of assisting me, the customer. Finally she answered a question for me and was very rude in her response. I drive 30 min to go to this car wash because they do a good job, but the cashiers "customer service" has me thinking twice about retuning again. I wish I had read the reviews before coming here - it would have saved me $15 for an exterior-only below-par wash. The only reason I'm writing this is I just noticed it on my CC bill and was reminded of how disappointing it was. It was overpriced (interior+exterior prices start above $20 so I went for the exterior only at $13+tax, which I think is still high), but I thought maybe they'd do a good job for the extra cost. I was wrong. When I got home I noticed that my black SUV was covered with water spots dirty wipe-marks, and there was still soap on the exterior in a few places (it froze right onto the truck). I could have gotten a much better cleaning in Danbury for $7. The cashier had an attitude, but the gal and guys who were actually cleaning the cars were very nice. Conveniently located, but there's no reason to return. Lots of competition in the area so no reason to. I don't mind paying extra for better service, but that wasn't the case here. read more

They over salt the roads here. I really wanted my undercarriage cleaned or at least rinsed. I told the guy there that I just wanted the outside and undercarriage done. Went through the automated line. They gave my car a quick rinse then started rubbing away. That is SALT they are rubbing into the paint!!! My car is still filthy and the undercarriage is still full of salt. I'm going to go to one of those places where I can spray the car down myself because at least I know It's done. With all this pollen my black car was green. Went to car wash while I was in shopping center. Didn't know it was there. Service options were good, happy to see it was a hand wash. I think that is safer for your car's finish. The store was also nicely laid out with stuff for kids to play with. Cashier was friendly and not overly pushy. When car was dine they took extra care to blow off the mirrors and back hatch area. Other washes never did that. Well worth every penny paid. Thanka read more
