This laundry is now run by new owners, as of 2024. The new name of the facility is Emerald City Laundry, which I verified in person yesterday. There are already some good and bad changes: GOOD: Now it is open seven (7) days a week. The previous owners closed it on Saturdays, for religious reasons, and had religious posters near the entrance. GOOD: In the self-serve area of machines, there are more employees out on the floor that you can get assistance from. BAD: The staff is out in front because they are doing more commercial accounts, and the staff is using self-service machines for those pick-up-and-deliver customers. BAD: Few of the staff speak English very well. BAD: They will not unlock the nice bathroom near the front of the building to let self-serve customers use it. Instead, they direct us to the staff bathroom in back which has no working light bulb in it. You have to bring your own flashlight if you wish to use the restroom. read more

I don't have many bad experiences with merchants, and especially not laundries, so this review is unusual for me. I looked online early yesterday morning and found Sunshine Laundry here in Lynnwood. After calling, I went to their address at the time they opened. A lovely woman helped me. She took the baga of dirty clothes from me. We discussed whether she would use our "free and clear" detergent or theirs, the water temperatures for the various items, and when the order would be ready. She wrote her name, Neme, and the price, $50, on a piece of paper. She asked me for my name and phone number, which I wrote on a sales slip form she gave me. Ulimately, she wound up writing "$50.00" and Friday on that sales slip. I took photos of both pieces of paper. [The differences between Neme's handwriting and mine are obvious.] Today, Friday, at the time she had told me our clothes would be ready, I returned to the laundry. A lovely young woman behind the counter got the bags with our clothes and gave me a bill for $70.01. I explained to her that Neme had quoted a price of $50 (which I had paid her yesterday morning). She repeated that the price was $70.01. I repeated that Neme had told me it would be $50 and began looking for the document photos on my phone. She went to the back and returned with Neme. Her lovely face had turned into a frown. She acted as though she neither understood nor spoke English. All she did was vigorously shake her head. The younger woman told me the $50 had just been "a deposit," I told her that word had never been used. I had been told that the charge would be $50, which Neme had wanted in advance (and which I had given to her). Ultimately, in order to get our hostage-clothes back, I paid her another $20.00. I'm not sure what their game is. The store does not even display the name "Sunshine" any place I could see. It says something like "Splash and Dash" on-site. The good news is: just looking at them, our clothes seem OK. Would I ever use this laundry (whatever its mame is) again? And get ripped off? Again? I would rather go naked! read more

This is my favorite place in this area to wash and dry my clothes. Very great service and very clean! Moderately priced but always bring your own laundry detergent and bags or it will cost you! I am happy with their service and happy with the establishment. read more

I have been coming here for the past 2 years, going on three off and on. At first it was great. The facility itself is pretty good but towards the end of 2023 into 2024 I noticed that they never open on time. when I do my laundry it is on Sundays. Sometimes I I waiting for over an hour past their scheduled opening time before someone finally decides to show up and open. read more

I've been coming her for over 15 years. I bring my blankets and throw rugs because it's nice to have them done at the same time and they have huge washers and dryers. Today when I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had updated all of their machines. The old ones were getting horrible. I didn't bring laundry soap because they used to have vending machines with those items. Today I find they have no more vending machines. I loaded my items in the big washers, looked for the attendant to see if perhaps I could purchase some soap from them and was unable to find anyone. I left my things here and drove up the street to buy soap. When I returned (about 10 minutes later), the attendant met me at the machines and said "I have some really bad news. You can not wash your rugs or dog bed here" I asked why. He responded "they are very dirty and it ruins the machines" okay. I thought that was odd as I've always done that here. I understood the dog bed, kind of, but it's a medium size bed and wasn't that big a deal to just wash it at home. I did not understand the rugs and still don't. I thanked him and took out the little throw rugs (used in my kitchen and the entryway) and the dog bed. The attendant was a younger kid and was nice enough. I realize he's just doing his job I guess. Then on my way out, I see the sign directing you to use the bigger washers to was rugs super irritating!!!!! I have only ever had an issue once before and that was when the attendant refused to give me quarters for a $2 bill. She thought it was fake. No worries. I'm not going to argue with them because they are just doing their jobs but the rug thing is super irritating! I give two stars because the attendant was not rude and the place is super clean with over 20 washers and perhaps 15 dryers. They also have a public restroom. They have a fair amount of counter space to fold clothes, many baskets to use for bringing items to and from as well as a large table in the middle of the room to sit and or fold clothes. They are more expensive than some places but with the new equipment, it's worth it. I see that they also provide laundry service and charger per pound. Prices seem reasonable. read more

My family has been using this laundromat since I was a little kid. It is a great environment to spend time in, the employees are very friendly, the area is nice, and the machines are great. If you have kids, it is a good choice. If not, you'll still love it. The dino paintings on the wall give the place character. The free wifi is a great bonus! There are arcade games, vending machines, chairs, magazines, and plenty of washers and driers for everyone. There are also restrooms, which is nice because doing laundry takes time. I could not recommend this business more highly. My mother still chooses to do the family laundry there rather than at home. read more

Best laundromat in Lynnwood. Ever since our washer and dryer conked out, we've been coming to this laundromat every other week. We are a family of 3, so after two weeks, we have quite a bit of laundry. So, we schlep it down to this hideaway and always are impressed by how clean it is. I mean, even the bathrooms are clean - and that's unheard of in a laundromat toilet - at least in my experience. We use the super duper HUGE washing machine that holds 8 loads at one time - this works well for us because we really don't have any whites. It cost $12 to do all our laundry - and that's including soap. We are able to dry everything for $6, so that's a total of $18 for a boat load of laundry. Splash & Dash is always attended - and the lady who works there is such a sweetie! Even when it's crazy and all the equipment is having issues, she keeps her sense of humor and remains graceful under pressure. I sort of feel like we don't really want to get a new washer and dryer because we love coming here so much, and I think we save a lot of money by doing our laundry this way. read more

I'll admit, it's my first visit to a laundromat in over 25 years. I was not prepared to pay $30 for 2 loads (wash and dry). It was quick. Bring hangers as they charge an extra 25c for one. Dinosaur murals gone . It was cold inside. May be back. read more

Oh how I don't miss my college apartment days.... My dryer crapped out on me as some work clothes were in the washer. Sweet! Now what? So I turned to Yelp, and I did this 5 star place not far from my house (ish). As far as laundromats go, this one is cool. Plenty of parking, clean facility, moderate pricing. I have no idea why people give 5 stars to a laundromat. It's not like they roll out a red carpet or anything. But I guess rating systems are subjective. Most places start with a 3 and work their way up or down from there. 5's and 1's take some work. At least from me. Either way. I am happy to recommend this place and use it until I figure out my stupid dryer debacle. read more

Nice clean place and the staff was very helpful. Lot of different sizes of machines and they did a good job for a good price. You can pay with a card if you don't have cash and they will give you cash back so you can get quarters. Ample space available for sitting and waiting, tables for folding too. read more
