Jackson has been seeing Katy for over a year now and we love her! We do the therapy swim and he always seems so much happier after a good swim! Jackson can be a little reactive and annoying but Katy is so patient with him and works well with his weird tendencies. Today was my 10 month old puppy's 2nd visit with J Linn for water therapy. He has bilateral luxating patella and was previously having frequent dislocations when he would run and play. Our vet told us he would likely need surgery. Obviously surgery is invasive and comes with risks plus a restrictive recovery period, so we were hoping to be able to delay (or avoid) surgery. We were expecting it to take time to see results but after the first visit we already noticed huge improvements in our pup! It feels so good to see him play/wrestle without dislocating or limping. We are so thankful for J Linn's expertise! Also, the facility is following very safe covid-19 precautions (1 pup/person at a time in the building, masks, and thorough sanitizing). read more

My senior Great Dane has arthritis in some of her toes, problems with her joints and neck stiffness. A friend recommended I try swimming for my Dane with Gretchen at SplashDog. After just the first 1/2 hour assisted swim I saw a vast improvement in my dog's movements. The best part about the whole experience for my dog is the massages she gets in the water. She completely relaxes and looks like she is in complete heaven. I've tried quite a few things to alleviate the pains of getting older for her and by far swimming with Gretchen seems to help the most. We were in need of water therapy for our Pekingese mix Sherman as he recently suffered a spinal injury and on recommendation of our Dr. he should start water therapy to build up his back and leg muscles--- We went last night for our first session at Splash Dog with LeighAnn and it was wonderful! She talked so sweet to him and made him really comfortable---he was soo zapped after the lesson that he slept hard until this morning! He has been full of energy today and although it seems silly to say after one session we have noticed a substantial change in his mood, playfulness and energy! Our big lab Zeus had swim therapy there to help with his hips (it was a huge help and prolonged our time with him!), and our three-legger had swim lessons and massage. Great business, great people! I had been looking for a safe place and a safe way to strengthen my puppy's (German Shepherd) hind legs as he was diagnosed with Hip Dysphasia and back issues have been my main worry. So we scheduled a first swim with Gretchen and have been going back about once a week ever since. Our puppy used to significantly round his back but after taking him to SplashDog (3/4 hour - therapy swim) his back is looking a lot better and he doesn't seem as weak in his hips. Our pup still isn't a huge fan of the water but it's comforting seeing how much he trusts Gretchen in the pool. It's also pretty nice that you can buy swim sessions in bulk and save some money! read more

Is your pet old and dealing with joint issues? Our 14 year old Border Collie was in discomfort due to his joint issues (arthritis). We started Gable swimming about 5 months ago. Swimming allows the dog movement with out putting weight on his joints. What a difference it has made. I highly recommend engaging your pet in the weekly swimming with one of the therapists. Gable has enjoyed his sessions and gets a massage to boot. Splashdog has given him a new lease on life. read more

I've been taking my dog, Moose, to SplashDog for about 2 years for swim therapy due to a CCL repair, spondylosis in his back and degenerative arthritis in his hips and knees. They have helped him gain strength, maintain mobility and also enjoy some non-impact exercise in the water. He especially loves the Hartz elephant toy; his motivation to get into the pool! I just cannot say enough good things about this place. They have helped my senior lab with her arthritis and mobility issues. I didn't even think she could swim. She had never shown an affinity to the water in the past, despite being a lab, but I was wrong. Her most recent session, after a long absence, may have been the best ever. She literally melted into the pool and blissed out during her massage by J Linn. I could see her muscles spasming & then loosening in response to the massage. The swimming is great for building strength in her weak back legs too. The following day it was easy to see that her normal post legged walk in the back had extended to an actual stride & was more smooth. If your dog is having mobility issues or is aging, this is the PERFECT place for them. read more

We've taken my dog to SplashDog about half a dozen times so far as part of the healing process for ACL tear surgery on both her legs. I can't say enough good things about this place - both Gretchen and J.Linn are wonderful with canine massage, as well as really nice people to boot. My dog had never been in a pool of water before, and despite initial fearfulness (she was trying her hardest to swim out of the pool the first time) she now loves being in the water and working her muscles while paddling after balls and getting a much needed deep massage. After each session my dog is completely tired out - but happy tired. I'm so glad our vet recommended this place to us as part of our dog's recovery. read more
