I'm really not sure who wrote the previous reviews, must have been pain by the owner. This place is piss poor. Supposed to be a field paint only field, yet you are getting hit by paint brought in from Dicks Sporting Goods, or tournament paint by the local teams who apparently have a pass to circumvent the rules. Which if you shot the field paint you would understand. The field paint has to be the seconds or thirds from a Friday run, golf balls don't have this many dimples on it. Barrel breaks and curve balls galore, all while opposing teams shoot lasers at you, because they are apparently Gods children. If you are a walk on, beware the children of God will be gunning for you with all of their fancy equipment and fresh tournament paint Some of the fields are literally just piles of trash drug out of somebodies yard and arranged in a not so organized fashion to be bunkers. Some of the fields really pose a credible injury risk. The one half decent field they had was torn down. The management and staff, well some of them try. The manager there, he has tried to help, but quite obviously is paralyzed by piss poor ownership with his own agenda. Some of the other staffers try to help as well, while others have quite obviously given up and are there for either perks or the mediocre paycheck I am sure they receive. Don't even think about playing a scenario here. The owner stacks the odds by bringing his "professional" team out and arranging them all on one team to completely sweep the people that are there to have fun. The most fun of the scenarios are when it's over and you leave. The actual owner of this place is really in it to just further is personal agenda. He has no real intentions is furthering the sport or bringing in new faces. Back in the early 2000's when this place was under different ownership it was absolutely a blast to play here. Could never find parking because it was always packed. Now you are generally left waiting for people to show up to play against. Just save your money people, 15 minutes further the other direction are some great parks in southern Maryland and Northern Virginia if you want to experience real paintball read more

I drove to Splatbrothers from Washington, DC to play in the Domination Scenario Game. The fields are nice, clean and well laid out. I have played fields all over the country and I found this one to be in the top 90%. I would have given the field 5 stars but there was constant issues with the air. If you used 3000, you were set. If you wanted 4500 you were out of luck for much of the time. The manager was fighting an uphill battle with so many players and tried everything he could. He did a great job and I felt he was embarrassed and sorry about the issues. Alright I will no longer be giving this company any of my buisness after one of their representatives came into my place of business and was offering me a package to take a group. I was pretty interested and I would have gladly bought the package but the man demanded a check or my card information and even after I told him that sadly I would not be able to purchase it that day I would gladly come by later and do the deal. He then refused to take no for an answer and after I finally walked away he continued to scream across my store "you were all excited two seconds ago what did the cops come in or something what's wrong with you". So sadly I will be recommending to everyone to please not support a business that supports this kind of behavior. read more

I've only ever been here for their big 36 hour games, (two in 2015, so far one this year, and one back in either 2008 or 09) But both games were great. If you've never been to a big game, I highly recommend it, the size of the play area makes flanking and ambushes intense. These guys have some insane fields (three towers connected by catwalks overlooking a field of trenches! it gets even better during the night game). The field is slopped towards the rear, which isn't a deal breaker (who wants to play on flat open ground? boring) but it does mean your going to be doing some cardio. These guys even have decorations (giant robots hanging from trees, I think they were props from a game years ago) and a huge map of the field near the entrance to the park. The field store has a decent selection of items, including food, ice cream, pods, markers, clothing, paint and smoke grenades (I'm not sure if they allow these during non scenario games) and a helpful video for first timers. I'm not sure when, but they have special days for first timers and youngsters where they use .50 cal rounds. These are cheaper and softer for young kids before you prepare them to play the big games. read more

BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! From reservations to customer service the day of, the whole experience was seamless. Our group purchased groupons and also purchased a private party upgrade once we realized we just wanted to play against each other. The employees were very patient with a large group (15) most of which had no experience paint balling. Jared was our ref and was so knowledgeable and funny. We came with a theme (Battle of the Sexes in onesies) and he worked with that theme in the different games we got to play on different fields. He took the time to answer all questions and repeat rules when asked. Chelsey was also very kind and knowledgeable. She helped walk our party though the process of how a private party event works, and was kind to our newbie group. Multiple employees, other refs I believe, came over to our group to chat with us, give us some pointers about game play, and just kept us laughing the whole time. Splatbrothers' set up (from the people to the various fields) is hard to beat. Our group collectively can say we had soooooooo much fun, and those of us who just wanted to enjoy a one time activity for our friend's birthday are now more than ready to come back on our own to play. read more
