I was blown away at the music that was playing (not family friendly), for example one of the songs had lyrics that expressed the fact that the girl had killed her ex and she did it so she could be with someone else. Another song expressed the fact that they were demonized and hell was the place they were looking forward to going. To be honest I can't imagine why anyone would think that kind of music is appropriate for a family establishment. Just FYI the music that is being played MATTERS, both in the Spirit and in the physical realm. Outside of that the course was fun and challenging- we had a good time. Expressed myself to the management, really hope they heed a genuine concern.

Well, today we celebrated our 4-year-old grandson's birthday here and he and his classmates had a blast. What a great idea my son & daughter in law had by selecting this place. Way better than having a party at their home, since you can't predict the weather (because it rained all day) and would have been a challenge if at the house. I snapped just a few pictures to share when the kids weren't there. Had plenty of things for the kids to jump on and climb. Of course had an area for food, drinks and snacks. Found the place to be real clean and nice. Even has a coffee bar for the adults at a very fair price. So I highly recommend this for your little one's birthday or get-together. On a pretty busy night, one employee was handling nearly everything--taking orders, preparing food, serving drinks, and handling alcohol orders. At one point, there were approximately 20 tickets waiting to be prepared, many of them orders for children and families. I personally waited over an hour and a half for my food. The employee was courteous and clearly doing his best, but he was left without adequate support. All while, keeping a professional composure. Kudos to him! Meanwhile, customers became increasingly frustrated. Management needs to seriously evaluate its staffing and support during busy periods. Leaving one employee to manage this volume of orders is unacceptable, and the excessive wait time will be a major factor in my decision whether to return. Otherwise this place has great potential.

Then Rebecca had a health scare and praise God she is still with us. This building was ordinally built in 1946 by a lady named Mary Ann, you would not know it by the way it looks now. People here pay big bucks for HOA fees (silliest thing ever), but if you're rich go for it. And also the boat renting is for residents only too? I understand now why they have cops in the park enforcing non residents to leave. Never been to The Boathouse and now I don't plan to. Loved this park and so did our son. But there are endless other parks in Richmond to enjoy! Peace out!

Its fun to feed them though. This is a nice place to take photos. There is a Boathouse Restaurant near the lake as well, and you can also rent paddle boats! You have to be a resident or know someone to be able to. You could spend hours walking around. Sunday Park is something of a hidden treasure as, it is entirely surrounded by housing.

Supposed to be a field paint only field, yet you are getting hit by paint brought in from Dicks Sporting Goods, or tournament paint by the local teams who apparently have a pass to circumvent the rules. Which if you shot the field paint you would understand. The field paint has to be the seconds or thirds from a Friday run, golf balls don't have this many dimples on it. Barrel breaks and curve balls galore, all while opposing teams shoot lasers at you, because they are apparently Gods children. If you are a walk on, beware the children of God will be gunning for you with all of their fancy equipment and fresh tournament paint Some of the fields are literally just piles of trash drug out of somebodies yard and arranged in a not so organized fashion to be bunkers. Some of the fields really pose a credible injury risk. The one half decent field they had was torn down. The management and staff, well some of them try. The manager there, he has tried to help, but quite obviously is paralyzed by piss poor ownership with his own agenda. Some of the other staffers try to help as well, while others have quite obviously given up and are there for either perks or the mediocre paycheck I am sure they receive. Don't even think about playing a scenario here. The owner stacks the odds by bringing his "professional" team out and arranging them all on one team to completely sweep the people that are there to have fun. The most fun of the scenarios are when it's over and you leave. The actual owner of this place is really in it to just further is personal agenda. He has no real intentions is furthering the sport or bringing in new faces. Back in the early 2000's when this place was under different ownership it was absolutely a blast to play here. Could never find parking because it was always packed. Now you are generally left waiting for people to show up to play against. I have played fields all over the country and I found this one to be in the top 90%. I would have given the field 5 stars but there was constant issues with the air. If you used 3000, you were set. If you wanted 4500 you were out of luck for much of the time. The manager was fighting an uphill battle with so many players and tried everything he could. He did a great job and I felt he was embarrassed and sorry about the issues. The manager did a great job to keep all of the players happy and the refs were fair and focused on fair play and safety.
