The full moon is a great venue to visit for motorcycle events and concerts. I'm sure there are many…read moreother events held here but I usually come up for biketoberfest and bike week. As many of you locals know, these events can last anywhere from four days to almost two weeks which allows multiple opportunities to visit annually, hang out with friends, see all the great shows and have some awesome food and drink. If you have never been to the Full Moon during a motorcycle event you should definitely give it a try. All the concerts are free, the beer is relatively cheap and the girls are beautiful! If you only have a chance to see one band while your here, mark your calendar for Rockit Fly, they pull the biggest crowd and it is always a blast. Rockit Fly is a local favorite and all of the members are personable and easy to talk to. Twisted tea is $3, Bud and Bud light is $4, Yuengling is $5. There are multiple food vendors on site providing items like: large turkey legs, sausage and peppers, chicken on a stick, funnel cakes, french fries, loaded fries, loaded nachos, corn dogs, large pork chops, Philly cheesesteaks, brisket, ribs and much more. Note: it can get loud in here so bring earplugs as a precaution. There are times when I have no problems at all but if I've been listening to bands all day it's nice to know that I have them if I need them. Additional Note: There is minimal seating at the Full Moon but there are bar ledges on the perimeter of the entrance off Main street where you can lean, take a partial load off and watch the bikes go by. The main stage is outdoors with tons of room for large groups. There is also an indoor bar in the back (by the food vendors) with another stage where secondary shows/contests take place in the air conditioning.

The park wasn't packed so that was nice. The staff were helpful and kind. We didn't purchase any food or drinks on site so I can't speak on any of that. But they did provide a free water cooler which is all we needed. Lockers were available but we didn't use one. Plenty of seating and there's also shaded seating that can be rented if you choose. Also available were "cabanas" to rent which had tables and chair and a cooler you can use if you had a large party or something. We left, cleaned up and went to dinner then came back that evening to do the go carts and laser tag. The go cart staff was cool and everything went smoothly. The carts and maintained and ran well. The laser tag was fun also. We met several friends there and had a good time. Overall would recommend Daytona lagoon. Some prices seemed high but hey, welcome to Daytona beach in 2024 ‍. We'd go back.

Very much looking forward to a few relaxing hours in the water. I checked and purchased tickets online, the website clearly stated that all water park features were available for this rate. Sounded great! We arrived and immediately had problems with the staff validating our parking. Then, we asked about lockers, and they were $10 - $15 to keep your things safe. We paid that additional fee, and then realized that the lazy river was shut down. I asked a lifeguard why, and he said they were understaffed and maybe it would open at 4 or 5 (our tickets were only good until 6). Other visitors were also complaining about this. There are no umbrellas, just chairs in the sun. And the only attraction we wanted to do was closed so we got our stuff out of the expensive locker and asked for a refund. The manager said that the lack of lazy river access was specified in the online ad, which it was not. She then said that we should be happy since this was a discounted fee. We were not. They finally did refund our money but refused to refund the locker fee since they outsource this service. And, of course, the parking was still a problem. My husband also had bought a drink with a $20 bill and the attendant scrutinized it saying they had a lot of counterfeits. All in all the entire experience was hugely frustrating and disappointing. They treated us like the bad guys when they had clearly misrepresented the experience. I can see why no one was really there. This place could be a great asset to Daytona, but it is really a huge embarrassment. We won't be back, and we won't recommend it to anyone else.

I had my QR code ready for scanning. I waited roughly 5-7 minutes to get inside the large conference room. Not bad! I found my group and took a seat. There was a large stage where the worship team lead us in praise music. Priscilla Shirer had a smaller stage built out in front of the original stage which put her closer to the audience. I thought this was a nice touch! I pre-ordered the box lunch as I didn't want to leave the conference center to find food. Or be tempted to buy junk food at the conference center food stands. When we broke for lunch I got in line to pick up my box lunch and bottled water. Once again I had my QR code ready. I waited roughly five minutes in this line. My friends and I took our lunches outside and found some shade. I enjoyed a Boar's Head turkey sandwich with lettuce, tomato and cheese. There were mayonnaise and mustard packets in the box, plus a bag of plain kettle chips and a small soft chocolate chip cookie. The lunch was pricey at $22, but it was worth having it prearranged. And it was a decent meal. I enjoyed my time in Ocean Center and would definitely attend another event!

Parking was $15 in one of the local parking garages and overflow area. The event stated the doors were to open at 6pm but staff did not let anyone in until 7pm. Once we got in, we noticed there was no seating anywhere in the center except for right up in front of the main stage and that was for platinum guests. There were some seating and tall boy tables in the corridors and lobby area outside of the main event area. VIP and Platinum had their own restrooms and bartenders which was nice; however, if you were VIP or Platinum you needed to leave the main event area and go back out to the hallway and lobby to get drinks. The bar by the stage was purchase only and not included with their package. The food here was absolute crap. It all sounded wonderful from the advertisements and when reading the menu but everything was cooked hours ahead of time, was wrapped in aluminum foil and kept in bus bins. None of the food was hot or cold, just room temp. We came hungry thinking there would be plenty of hot fresh food being made by vendors but everything had been sitting around since 3pm, gross!! We broke down and got a hot dog with pulled pork with a bag of chips and split it ($14), fingers crossed we wouldn't get food poisoning. Drink pricing was outrageous. $5.50 for canned water and soda, $13 for a 12oz beer, $13 for Hard Lemonade, $18 for specialty cocktails. The only saving grace is that the bartenders poured heavy, so thank you for that. The vendors were not really offering any samples or anything just a bunch of tchotchkes we didn't need and you had to scan a QR code and sign up for every single one if you wanted anything, why bother; my email is already full, no thank you! The comedy was just Ok, we thought Bert would have performed something new but he just did the whole 'Machine' skit again, if you know it, its long and if you already heard it several times and seen the movie, it's funny but we need something new brother! The DJs weren't really my thing but they did bring the party to the younger crowd. Ernest-Ernest and Lynyrd Skynyrd's performances were phenomenal. These two bands just made my night. The sound was better than expected especially with all the hard surfaces and concrete floors, I was a bit worried. If we could do this all over again, I would eat good meal before coming here and just show up an hour before the bands start because the rest of the time we were just standing around for what seemed like forever.

The woman at the entrance was kind and helpful, though she spoke so softly my ADHD brain had to lean in like a detective--but her directions were spot on. Inside the main building, the art from Cuba was the star for me--bold, vibrant, full of life. Some of my absolute favorites were in the Cuban art section--each piece felt like it was humming with its own frequency. The geometric painting (the one drenched in deep reds, burnt oranges, and that sharp black hourglass shape) hit me first. It's bold, mathematical, yet somehow spiritual--like a coded message meant for anyone perceptive enough to catch it. Very "guardian-spirit-meets-mid-century-modern." I stood there longer than I expected. The giant ancient sloth? Unreal. I wish they'd place a modern-day sloth beside it, just so my brain could process the scale without glitching. The bug/kids section was unexpectedly adorable. The kids were living their best lives, and honestly, I was right there with them--zero shame. I did drive over to the second building for the "It's a Ship Show" exhibit, and okay... I see what they did with the title. At first glance I read it as "It's a Sht* Show," and for a split second I thought MOAS got sassy. The artwork leaned heavily into still life, and to me it felt more like pieces you'd find in an upscale lounge, a refined boutique hotel, or a polished restaurant--visually pleasing but not as emotionally stirring as the main gallery. Just my personal taste. I could've spent more time wandering around, but I was on a first date with someone who kept making me laugh. I felt like the loud kid in class trying to stay quiet in a museum. Overall, great value, memorable art, and a surprisingly fun atmosphere. I'd definitely go again--preferably when I'm not giggling through every exhibit.
