There are two lanes for a reason. One of the staff members quickly de-escalated the situation by explaining to the customer that there were, indeed, two lanes. Naturally, the customer continued to rant about how wrong and disrespectful "cutting the line" was, but the staff member stayed to his point that the lanes were made available to all customers.
