We booked a manicure party for our Girl Scout Troop of 10 girls. The party was today. Melissa's communication was great prior to the party and she arrived 30 mins early. Her set up was cute and she was well prepared. I was sitting near by the girls and could hear their interaction - she was very sweet with them. The nails looked darling when she was done. The leaders painted the girls toes on our own. However since there was extra time Melissa offered to do a bit more custom art on the girls big toes. Originally I had a bad experience and posted it here on Yelp. Melissa (owner) contacted my wife (who booked my appointment) immediately after. She apologized for the experience and explained to my wife that action was being taken to correct the issues I had experienced (action which I felt might have been extreme, but certainly showed that the owner was serious about her customers and quality of the massage experience). Based on the owner's response and offers to remedy the situation I decided to give them another try. This experience was perfect. I had Megan. She was on time (came 10 minutes early to set up) asked good questions to start, began right away and went for the full 90 minutes. I decided I wanted to do my massage outside, as it was a nice night and I knew it would be difficult to relax in my house with my 3 boys and dog running around. That was a really good choice. I bought a little girl's spa party for 6 through an on-line special. Melissa Brown contacted me right away and we discussed all of the options, as well as the cost and logistics to add extra girls. We worked together to put a nice party plan together. She and a helper showed up on time. She brought everything... even tables. Cupcakes/toppings/nail polish/makeup/hair styling products (all the girls got to keep their own combs, which was great)/"prom" type dresses and many accessories. Although she had lots of other parties to go to, she never rushed the girls. She and her co-worker were friendly, professional, moved everyone along naturally and she suggested the post glamour fashion show and photo shoot (which created lasting memories for my photo album). Note: Melissa was extremely conscientious when working with hair. All girls received their own comb... no hair items where shared! The girls had an AMAZING TIME! Their hair and make up looked so good and the dresses were beautiful. We had such a great experience that I bought a party for my god-daughter in Camarillo. This company was booked for my daughters girl-- group as a reward for all the cookies they sold. It was supposed to be a part of their end of the year celebration. Unfortunately they called 15 minutes after they were supposed to arrive to cancel leaving an entire troupe of disappointed little girls and two leaders scrambling to come up with an alternative. Our troop leader informed us that they haven't been able to get a refund yet and it doesn't look likely that there will be a refund at all. So yeah, if you thought stealing candy from a baby was easy, try stealing money from bunch of little girls. Even easier. Very appropriately named: "Spoiled ROTTEN events" as my experience was when speaking to Melissa was very Unprofessional. I called to gain clarification on a one of those Groupon-type deals that I purchased for a party. Almost the first words out of her mouth were that - "what you get for that is one host" and then a whole sales pitch about how to up sell everything on earth you can think of. She sounded bitter for offering the deal. It wasn't a normal conversation - it was about 1 second before she stepped into her up sell mode. The party package I purchased explicitly stated (among other details): "1.5 hours of mani entertainment Salon quality nail care items & polish by OPI and Morgan Taylor!" On the phone, she says, "we are NOT entertainment for the children, we are strictly a service." She actually stated that a few times. The sales pitch said, "Salon quality nail care items & polish by OPI and Morgan Taylor! " The event deal stated 1.5 hours - on the phone it was for 1 hour. She stated it would be 1 party host. I asked for clarification and she stated that it meant one person for 8 girls - so basically one person is supposed to deliver "salon quality nail care" to 8 girls in ONE HOUR? - which turned into one nail coat color change - not "salon quality nail care." As I asked questions, she became irate. The deal stated things that were not in line with what she was stating on the phone and she didn't like that I was asking for clarification. In short, it felt like a bait and switch. Move on from this one, pay more or watch out. I should add that I didn't NEED this as I was already having a party for my child and I was thinking it would be a nice perk to drop in there. On June 28th, Melissa responded to my post:" 6/28/2017 .... "We provide a professional quality service that will entertain your guests during your party. We do not entertain children after we complete the booked service, unless you have choose a package that includes fashion show!" I love it! ARE YOU A SERVICE OR will you "ENTERTAINMENT" guests? Her words again speak for themselves. So - now I scrolled down to see that Chris B from Thousand Oaks (below mine on Yelp) and I had very similar experiences... I see that both of us received the same condescending, unprofessional and rudely-toned responses to our Yelps. It looks like she only puts the deals out there to up sell and if she can't up sell you, she yells at you and declines the job. Very telling of the business name. I seldom bother to say so much but Melissa was sooo incredibly rude that it warranted appropriate feedback and warning to others. read more

I hosted a mini spa and fashion party for my four year old daughter two weeks ago. I saw they have deals going on at simideals.com. So I booked for express package which I thought was mani and pedi but it was just manicure and no pedicures. I misread, so read your contracts very carefully. My girl and 7 other girls love the nail art. I also like the way she braided my daughter's hair and made an up-do for additional $25. I also added hair accessories for another $60 for the other 7 girls which I think could have not taken. I booked less than a month which I had to pay 100% deposit and made it harder to make changes. Also paid $40 for an additonal person which I didn't tell her 7 days in advance. This was a little inconvenient as we all have unexpected guest or event and very busy the week before the party. Had my daughter's 4th birthday last Sunday in a Cinderella theme, and we hired Spoiled Rotten Events to be the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in our home. We had the happiest little princesses ever! They had their hair, makeup, and nails done beautifully by Melissa and her crew. They finished off with a red carpet runway as each princess was announced, as they waved and curtsied. We just had my daughters 8th birthday and had a wonderful time. Melissa and her crew were courteous and professional and had a lot of patience with the girls. The stations that they brought for the facials, mani and pedis were clean and comfy and decorated to our party colors. My only suggestion is for Melissa to more clearly define the arrival time vs the suggested party start time. Our contract was for a 2-2.5 party starting at 11am therefore I told my guests to arrive at 11. The crew didn't arrive until 10:55 and so they were still setting up when my guests were arriving. I had expected them to arrive at 10:30ish. Complete misunderstanding that could have been avoided with more communication or clarification in the contract. The first 15 mins were a bit chaotic but overall did not detract from the party experience at all. We are getting tons of compliments that it was the best birthday party ever. My daughter and son-in-law really wanted a coordinator, I was not crazy about the idea. I am glad I kept quite (enough) about hiring the team. Ashley and Ashley (easy to remember) were there at some key moments and were watching out for a potential problem - that actually did present itself and Ashley was prepared to react to the situation.
