I love this venue! The location is easy to get to and there is plenty of parking even for large concerts. Once inside the arena, it is easy to navigate and find your way to your designated seats. The bathrooms are easy to get to and have several stalls in each. The food and beer area has a decent selection and it's best to hit it right away before the lines get too long. As far as the sound of the arena goes, of course it's no MGM Garden Arena or Staples Center, but for the size of it, it has really good sound even from the upper levels. Most recently I have seen Metallica and Bob Seger here and the sound quality was very good.

Spokane arena is like any other place that holds events, but many people around me was stating how unorganized the gates were but with that many people I understand can't please everyone but staff was helpful and enjoyed the Trans Siberian Orchestra concert.

We have been season ticket holders for the Spokane Chiefs for years. But we were recently invited to sit in a box with several friends... So we did! The seating was awesome, the view of the ice was great. The game was great! Unfortunately the service.... not as much... In the box you are assigned a server to bring everything in for you. Part of the experience, part of the cost. We ended up getting our own refreshments... having to leave the box several times. Other than that... It was a great experience. The two starts unfortunately fall heavy on the wait staff.... 35 minutes for a beer or popcorn.... Not acceptable.

I spent the past weekend attending the US Figure Skating Championships (mens and pairs events) at the Spokane arena. I think that overall I would give the arena itself about 3.5 stars. Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena is a small stadium, but that also has its perks. I sat in the upper level (although I was able to sneak down to the lower one for the less-popular novice and junior events), and from the highest level I still had a great view of all the ice skaters. Having feared a situation where all the skaters looked like ants, I was quite pleasantly surprised. I also found the staff who worked here to be very laid back, friendly, and less paranoid than the staff at larger arenas. There were some downsides to it being a small venue as well. There were far fewer places to eat than a bigger arena, but the food still managed to be just as overpriced. A couple other pet peeves I had were the fact that the upper level seats were quite narrow (the lower level seats were fine), and the only screen in the building was on the side rather than in the middle of the stadium. I had to crane my neck to see it, and I couldn't read all of the text on the screen very well. Despite those quirks, I had a pleasant time at the Spokane Arena, and I would come back again in the future.

Spokane Veterans Arena is a good small venue to catch events. I was here for the NCAA tournament first round and found it to be a pretty nice site for the event. On-site parking is fairly cheap ($5) and is reasonably plentiful. The parking is right next to the arena, so there's no Baatan Death March to get to your seats. Several lots nearby were trying to undercut their prices ($4) and it's only a few blocks until you can find free parking on the streets of Spokane. As noted above, the arena is of the smaller variety, but has fairly steep aisles. What this creates is good sightlines (even smaller members of our party could see overtop of the row ahead of them) and this also allows the upper decks to be close to the action. We had lower deck seats, but ended up wandering into the upper deck during an intermission: it's actually a pretty good view, especially from the first few rows. The seats are the basic plastic kind with a drink holder in front. Nothing too plush here. The concessions are fairly basic: reasonable hot dogs that will set you back typical event markups ($3.75). Not a huge variety of concessions though (expect hotdogs, soft pretzels, hamburgers, nachos).

Great arena for a mid-sized city. Easy access to (cheap/free) parking, reputable restaurants, and great atmosphere. Right next to Riverfront Park, so if you want to eat south of the river, there's a bridge right there. The concessions inside are reasonably priced if you're short on time. No seat seems like a bad seat here. The aisles are steep, making a close-in feel. Saw the Chiefs play earlier this month and had front row seats in the upper level and saw the action perfectly. I remember the old Boone Street Barn as a kid - this place is much more open and comfortable.

Ample parking, and if you don't wanna pay the price there is plenty of off site parking as well.

I had to quit the racetrack.... The word of the week is sexism and Finley Speedway is ran by sexist…read moremen. This had happened many times and im done. Cameron and I were very excited to work the speedway this summer. Willingly giving up our weekends and telling our current employer that this was a commitment we wanted to keep. Our primary employer agreed to let us make up the hours through the week (come in early, stay late whatever) so we could leave early on Friday to make it to track on time. Last night I was helping with parking, my job was to wave a flag to direct traffic through two flags with a space about 10 feet apart. There was only one entrance and it was also the exit to this parking lot. That entrance had to be shared with the cars and the people coming and leaving the event. At the same time cars are going through there are about 6000 people using the same entrance to get to the event. There were multiple times a kid or someone with a wheelchair almost got hit. I'm trying to move people along and directing vehicles as safely as I can though this small space. It was not hard and nothing bad happened. I was waving a flag to direct traffic. While I'm doing my job a man on a four wheeler is coming and going through the traffic I was directing. He was Stopping traffic so he could cross back and forth. I didn't think much of it, a few mins later he stops and starts yelling at me. Telling me I need to get the cars moving fast. He was very aggressive. I explained to him there is not much more I can do other then wave the flag, the traffic was continually moving. Traffic had slowed due to the collection of parking payments (which I was not conducting). I had zero control over how fast the traffic was going. He yelled at me again and asked "If he has to do it himself" I replied if you think you can wave this flag better go ahead. I'm very upset at this point. I dont know who he was, or if he even worked there or not. He was a stranger yelling very aggressively at me. My supervisor came out and I asked him if this guy works there and the guy starts yelling at me again. The reason why I believe he was being sexist is because there was a whole field of men and he singled me out. I don't know if he thought I would just take it or what. I did not I matched his tone in response because no man especially a co-worker should yell at me, I was just doing my assigned job. I did nothing wrong and he singled me out. There is a powertrip problem at that place and it's disgusting. I had zero training, they gave me a shirt and told me to do the job, and then get angry when things go differently than their unstated expectations. One supervisor will tell us to do one thing then another will tell us something completely different. Their lack of organization has put the safety of many at risk. I had to stop traffic a few times to let people cross, but a child being hit by a car would be a much bigger problem then getting people to a parking spot at a faster rate. They do not care about the safety of their employees or patrons and only care about the money patrons spend. There should be at least another opening for people to cross safety that is not next the moving traffic. I will not be continuing to support this speedway and suggest you don't either until something is done about the sexism and lack of safety. I have worked in a male dominate industry for a while now and have never been talked to or treated the way I was at the Speedway. also have not been paid.

Great place to take the family. Prices at the gate are more than fair. They have lots of different…read more activities for the kids to do in between the races. The only reason I didn't give a five star, food prices are pretty high.
