Went for a larger show (with comp tickets) and the service levels were definitely different. Firstly, it was disappointing that purchases of $1 bills was limited at a Drag show, which is designed to be supported by tipping. Buying bingo cards seemed cumbersome and complicated. My Joan Rivers hot dog was skimpy on the PB and my first Zombie drink looked/tasted significantly different than the second that was served. The servers themselves are wonderful, but organization and quality seems to be lacking. Being squeezed into tiny tables with strangers is adventurous yet awkward; there is literally not enough room to comfortably accommodate four drinks and four meals at the two tops they are offering. read more

Great Experience @ Spokane Comedy Club in Spokane, WA. !! We were excited to find out Eddie Griffin was in town and tickets were still available a couple hours beforehand! Not only that, general admission was only $37 a ticket. We upgraded to the paper plane package to add an appetizer, dessert, and non-alcoholic drink, plus gratuity. That way we only had to open a tab for cocktails. Cinderella mocktail was great! Cheesecake was delicious and light. Pretzel bites were good as well, but took a while to receive, after we reminded our server we still hadn't gotten them. The Hulk opened for Eddie, he was funny and had a relatable storyline while engaging with the audience. Eddie Griffin had the whole crowd Laughing Out Loud as soon as he stepped up. I'm glad we got his early show @ 7pm, he was all in and kept at it. Great night out, I would definitely recommend this venue, just get in line early so you get a good spot, we were escorted to a table pretty close to the front middle section, which was ideal. Also, the tables sit a party of four, so you might be sharing a table with others. Our server was nice and came around multiple times, but she doesn't bring out the food and drinks, so pay attention to what you ordered. We had a couple things dropped off we didn't order and had to tell her to take away... Security was visible and polite. Will Call was seamless. Servers were all quite busy. No attitude or drama. This experience profoundly made me reflect on the ways in which humanity can unite during critical times. There are no political agendas, religious divides, or financial motivations involved. It is simply about genuine individuals coming together as one to assist an innocent person in need! I sincerely hope that people recognize our capacity for goodness, which often contrasts with the negative portrayals presented in the media and the forces that seek to divide us in various ways. Being used to some of the best comedy clubs in Los Angeles, and sometimes disappointed when traveling and finding lesser venues, I was absolutely blown away by this place. And the customer service is unmatched. I snagged tickets in advance of my travel. As the date got close, I was notified that the original comedian was unable to perform. There was a backup, Georgia Comstock, who was going to fill in. I was given the option of rescheduling at no cost, though I explained that I was arriving from out of town and that date was the only one I had available. I asked how far in advance of showtime the line starts to form, since I had hoped to get front row center. The possibility of being picked on is part of the fun. Apparently in Spokane just a few minutes is fine. When we arrived I was surprised to find they had reserved a spot for us exactly where I had hoped! Very impressive! The venue itself was a proper club with comfortable seating. The servers were great, and even the standard two-item per person minimum was merely a "suggestion." I easily exceed that anyway, but I was amazed at how accommodating they were. Even though it doesn't relate to the venue, Georgia was absolutely hysterical. We were dying! Had such a great time! This was my first time going and it was basically open mic night. As with any open mic night the comics can range from mediocre to fantastic. The venue is actually pretty large when you get inside and seating is comfortable. You can fit a lot into the space without feeling crowded. Excellent view of the stage from almost any area. It is pretty dark once the show starts so if you want to order food or drinks I recommend checking out the menu beforehand. Options are limited for food and drink but the taste and variety are there. The current menu mainly consist of a variety of hot dogs, two desserts and a drinks (mostly alcoholic but still serving soda, water and two virgin drinks). I hot the Lucille Ball. Really good and will fill you up. Its a toss up because I would like to see more food options but its a smart way to conduct business with a limited menu. Went to sashay and slay Saturday afternoon. The entertainers were awesome. So much fun. This was my first visit here and can't rave highly enough about the show! Unfortunately our server(s) were extremely slow. The place wasn't very busy! They ask that you get 2 drink minimum but my order wasn't taken until 15 mins after I was seated then another 1/2hr to get the drink! So it was impossible to do that! (It was only a 1hr show but did run a little longer) The other people in my party said their pretzels tasted burnt and didn't eat. One of them ordered popcorn which took forever to get. She had barely eaten any. When the show was over 2 out of the 4 of us had their credit cards/invoices mixed up! While dealing with this her (almost full) popcorn was taken away! We love the Spokane comedy club. We have been going since they opened and have seen so many great acts. It's definitely our go-to thing to do on a Friday or Saturday night. The tickets are affordable and it's just a blast. My husbands favorite thing is the Robin Williams. Although, last time they forgot some of the toppings and he said it didn't quite hit the spot. I'm sure he will give it another shot next time we're there though lol I will say recently the service has been lacking. Sometimes it takes a long time to get a drink or even for someone to come to the table, but hopefully that's just a blip and won't last. Looking forward to our next visit! read more

A very much welcomed and needed venue to the area. I've been here for a few shows now, one was for a well known comic and the other was to benefit several animal rescues and both events were put on very well. Each event were very organized and professional and the staff was friendly and attentive. Since the shows are fairly cheap, they do require one to purchase two items off their menu, which most people would do regardless. The venue was clean and very maintained, including their restrooms. My partner has yet to venture here, so we will definitely be looking for a show soon. read more

The talent that comes to this venue is pretty dang awesome. I've got NO complaints about the shows or the comics. The venue itself is also pretty nice. Audio is good and ambiance is casual. Food is pretty pedestrian, not exceptional but this is by no means a food venue so haute cuisine is not expected. My beef is the service. I no longer drink alcohol and my wife does not usually drink more than one or two drinks. As such, we tend to get completely ignored. It takes longer to get our drinks & food and our dirty plates just sit and sit. Worst part of all, is the refills. I usually order a diet soda which according to their menu comes with TWO refills. Each time I've asked for the second refill, I've been told I have to buy another soda! By my math, this means the original glass full of soda then 2 more. The server has twice argued over the 2nd refill!! We've spent $150-200 for VIP tickets 4 times this year and have two more shows to go--these cheapskates want to argue over $.40 worth of brown bubbly water? It's insane that this is the hill they've chosen to fight over. We saw JP Sears there last night and I was gobsmacked that our server was so petty! read more

Overall a pretty seamless experience and very little gets in the way of a good time. Headlining act was polished and I suppose a relatively big name in comedy. In any case they ran a good show and it was a nice transition from getting sat, ordering drinks, dimming the lights, introduction to opening act, opening act, headliner, then getting the fuck out. Here's the process from start to finish: Find parking downtown and end up paying. If you don't know, downtown Spokane is a writhing den of tweaking window smashers but with strength in numbers the herd size of regular civilians seems to overwhelm the criminal activity during peak show times. Stand in line outside the club waiting to get in. Present ID no matter how old you appear and get a hand stamp. Check in having already bought tickets in advance, or roll the dice on buying tickets right then and there and risking a sold-out show. Get a little card with your table number and wait for a host to bring you to the table. Expect to share a small square table with another party, especially if you're a group of two. This is awkward and they really cram in the tables. You'll all be facing the stage so can pretend you have your own space, but you're jammed in pretty tight. The person beind me was arm's length and the person in front about elbow's length. I couldn't cuddle my GF because she was wedged behind the other end of the table :( A server comes quickly and takes your order, then files your credit card in a little book with plastic sleeves for each table so I didn't worry about it getting lost. Our server Bob was amazing. He'd come in like a falcon, silent and nigh invisible, swooping low to the table and asking if we needed refills in a hushed tone as to not interrupt the show. Other servers seemed to be encumbered with towering trays of drinks so had to stand full upright walking through the narrow lanes, then auction off IPAs and Moscow Mules blocking the view for 10 seconds or so at a time. It was pretty obnoxious but not sure how they'd get around this. Drinks came out surprisingly fast, given the two bartenders they had for a massive crowd. It took maybe 15 mins for the first order and 10 for the second round. Drinks were borderline. Mixes were off and they didn't taste good, honestly, but they didn't skimp on the booze which was appreciated. Expect to pay $7 for a small beer, $9 for a larger, and $23 for a pitcher. Mixed drinks are $12ish. The space itself is a giant square jammed with square tables jammed with people. No elevation or stadium seating so expect a less than stellar audience experience from a visibility and comfort perspective. Sound was great. Never missed a word and the volume wasn't too high. When the show ended they give you a little ticket that says "PAID" which you then present to the person at the exit. ONE exit for the whole crowd so getting out was time-consuming. Overall I had a few yuks and maybe a score of chuckles. Ticket was $25 so I'd call that a good value and would happily come back. read more

The shows are great. We've never seen a bad comedy show. Food options aren't horrible, but the food sometimes arrives cold or arrives an hour free ordered and int always what the menu says it will be. (The pulled porch nachos were chunks of cubed pork and salsa was extra.) Check your bill to make sure it's yours and you are billed only for you ordered. We've been over billed twice. Customer service We've only had good service. The management staff in April 2023 were helpful when a miscommunication lead to me purchasing tickets 6-months prior for a show my brother and his family had tickets to attend.... but somehow I bought tickets for a different show date and time. The staff helped let us know options to get I to the show my family was attending since it was sold out. We did what the staff said: We checked the show calendar often to see if tickets came available; We show up to get on the waiting list the day of, and were able to get in when other people didn't show up. Staff even saved 2 seats with my family in case there was a no show, so we ended up sitting with them!! So grateful and appreciative. read more

We traveled to Spokane to see John Crist at the Spokane Comedy Club. We were at the second show of the night so there was quite a wait outside on the sidewalk but staff made their way down the line to explain the process. The Club had a great system in place for assigning seats and being shown to our table. We ordered drinks & popcorn. The canned beverages were barely cold and the fountain sodas came out late into opening act. We would have loved to support the club by ordering more but didn't have the opportunity. I'm not sure if they're just short staffed (like everywhere else) or if we just got missed for the remainder of the show. We liked the venue, the seating, the menu, and the organization. Best comedy club in Spokane hands down and perhaps one of the best I've ever attended! The club brings in locals and big time comedians. Have seen both Tom Segura and Bert Kreischer at the Spokane comedy club! Incredible shows plus meet and greets! There is a two item minimum BUT it can be a soda and a snack. The staff is friendly and efficient. The food menu is good. Menu items include quesadillas, salads, hot dogs and cinema offerings such as movie candies and popcorn. The drink menu is fun with their signature drink "the red wagon". I cannot recall all the ingredients, but it's delicious! The beer tap menu features a few local breweries so that's also a option. As a wine lover, their wine list which has some amazing options. The bathrooms and comedy room and the whole place is also very clean and well kept. I can't say enough good things about the Spokane comedy club and kudos to the staff and owners who do an excellent job of running this establishment. Had a fun get out which is sooooo nice after being hidden away with Covid. We had free tickets and were able to come see some great comics. Seating is very easy and there's not really a bad seat in the house since it's a small cozy type performing room. They offer drinks, snacks, and kitchen food which is nice, because you can make this a full date night type of thing. Gave 3 stars because the drinks are expensive (your at a club/bar so of course) but they're not good.. very weak and almost watered down or very sugary. read more

The Spokane Comedy Club is located downtown. There's usually a line to get in the club, but it moves pretty fast. However, if you go see a show, take that into consideration as well as looking for parking. I like that the club does bring in some big names. I've seen Hannibal Buress and Tom Segura twice. The club says in order to bring in these headliners, EACH person is required to purchase at least two items. I totally don't get that. The least amount you can purchase is $6 aka two non-alcoholic drinks. I'd rather they just tack on another $6 to the cost of each ticket because there are servers constantly walking by/near/in front of you and while the service is good, I don't want to miss any of the comedic bits to talk to the server. They used to not have hot dogs on the menu so I ordered one. It was less than mediocre; it didn't really taste like anything (there was nacho cheese, chili and Frito corn chips on it) and the bun was borderline stale. I would've taken a picture, but I didn't want to get kicked out; they iterated several times your phone must be off/silent/put away. read more

I always come here with high hopes and leave feeling "meh." I've been three times, and every experience resulted in a high price tag and a mediocre experience. Yeah, there is a two-item minimum, and usually that sucks. The food options are basically "gourmet" hot dogs with way too many toppings (peanut butter and bacon on a hot dog does not gourmet make, friends), candy, and popcorn. They offer a variety of wines, but word of warning: the house wines are absolutely disgusting. The white I had last time (described as a "white blend") was more or less undrinkable. The staff is very aggressive in their service, and they are big believers in the upcharge. They're just doing their job, and they've always been friendly, so props there. Granted, I have never seen a "famous" comic there (although apparently everyone is greeted as "you've seen them on..."). I was surprised at how incredibly standard the jokes seemed across comedians. Some of the comics clearly don't know their audiences, but even those that do stick to the basic formula of three requirements: 1. Make fun of Spokane. 2. Make some joke about weed. 3. Say something showing your inner misogynist/racist. It is what it is. Often, I've found the hosts (aka the first comic to go and theoretically the least seasoned) are actually the funniest. We wandered in late on Open Mic night (WED). The venue was much larger than we anticipated and quite a turn out. Was fun and we had some good laughs. Price of drinks was good and our female server was great, fast, kind and efficient. The only suggestion I have is it would be really cool and inviting to do some comfortable lounge style seating in front or to the sides of the stages. You have space for it and it would draw more people in. We will definitely be returning for more laughs! read more

The food was good, I had the George Carlin and my daughter had the Bernie Mac. They were packed, but still did a great job on their service. I truly enjoy the Spokane Comedy Club. I recommend that you read the comedian's bio before buying tickets, because some folks are just precious and don't laugh at some performer's style or jokes. It's a comedy club, you are there to enjoy and laugh. You may just want to get over your damn self a little too. I always laugh so hard I go home with no voice at all...so basically the Comedy Club is doing the world a favor by silencing me. The food choices are a little limited, candy, popcorn, nachos, soft drinks and alcohol. The huckleberry lemonade drink is pretty yummy! I like the hotdogs. It would be great if they offered dessert options since some folks go out to dinner and would eat a dessert while watching a show, just sayin. The staff are great, they really have it dialed in. They are polite and gracious. Check in is fast and easy, there are no bad seats in the house, parking is easy. At the end of the night, they pick up your payment and as soon as the performer is done, your ass is out the door. Damn this place is good.. I'm so grateful to this place. I've been here for two shows and both comedians were awesome. I saw Jo Koi and recently I saw Felipe Esparza last weekend. He was a riot. Full house! Also got their early enough to sit in the second and middle row. I like their seating arrangement as well. You're always facing the stage as well as their are rows THST servers come and take your order. You don't have to leave your seat nor have to walk through rows and rows of people and make thing awkward. They do have a 2 minimum purchase. I don't see a problem with it. Their menu is short and sweet perfect munching food when watching a show. Nachos, popcorn, candy.. It is movie theater prices.. But their cocktail list makes up for it. Way to go. The local comedians were absolutely halarious! If you're looking for larger main stream comedians they also have a lot of main stream comedians that come through, so definitely check them out! What might throw a few people off is their 2 item minimum (typical of most comedy clubs). So you have to order at least 2 drinks, a drink and a snack, etc... It's not difficult to do! I'm reviewing this in 2 parts since the 2 have nothing to do with each other. First of all, if you are OCD about seating (such as me) get there about 30 minutes before doors open and you should have really good seating. Unlike a few of the reviews, i don't think the seating was overly packed and we just came from a sold out show. You will have to sit by random strangers if you are only 2, but this didn't really bother us. The bathroom is also easily accessible and kept clean. So here is the divide. They have a 2 item minimum which I don't mind, and most people are pretty acceptable to this, however, if you are going to have a 2 item minimum make sure there aren't so many issues and such a long wait for the food. Almost any item we ordered took about 30 minutes to get to us, including simple refills. I do understand at sold out shows there is probably a lot going on, but our table and even 2 tables next to us had additional issues with the food and the replacement food took the same amount of time to come back out instead of being a priority. It may just have been our server as she seemed a little rude and that anything we asked for was a bother, but we were not impressed. We would give the service a 1. The comedians deserve that 5 though. We came to see Samuel Comroe and both him and the opening act, James were hilarious. They seem to have quite a few other larger names that appear but this was our first show we went to. Also, the venue was clean and comfy. Another downfall was because it was sold out they had added another show, we tried to get in line for a picture and to buy something after the show but there is no way that line would be done by the time they had to start letting people in for the next show so we ended up leaving a little disappointed. Standing outside for 45 minutes after the doors were supposed to open. It's HOT outside. And no AC inside. AND THEY WONT BRING US ICE WATER because they are saving the ice for drinks. Not okay. 2 item minimum after paying $40 a ticket seems ridiculous. The quality and selection of food is comparable to the concession stand at a little league game. I do not intend on returning to this establishment. Security was intense. Many people scolded for just looking at their phones. There is a two item minimum, and every thing counts as an item (soda is the same as a cocktail). However, a $20 pitcher of beer counts as 3 and a bottle of wine counts as 2. Waitstaff was friendly and attentive. Hotdogs were pretty darn good (2/$12.50). Overall, (not counting the ticket price) 2 cocktails, a pitcher of beer, and 2 dogs cost ~$60. The comedy was great.
