A cool old theater. Yes, we are way up (Row Q of the balcony) but not so far from the stage.

A nice old theater. No seats are too bad, though as you get up in there balcony, people on the stage can be a bit small. They sell some snacks, beer, wine, etc. Seating is pretty tight, not sure how well it works for people with long legs.

I absolutely love coming to events at this historic theater. The decor always to event. The venue hosts a variety of events from music to plays to the symphony. The staff is always kind and patient and drinks and small appetizers are offered at most events. We came to see a screening of Christmas Vacation. It was a treat to see a movie in this beautifully restored theater. Plan a night out soon at the former Fox Theater!

    Look at this beauty!

The architecture of this place is outstanding. You walk in and the Art Deco look of it all makes your jaw drop. I've been to two different symphony performances here. One which was a collab with Ben Folds a few years ago and one which combined the Spokane and Gonzaga symphonies. The acoustics were absolutely amazing. The seats were comfortable and the ushers were friendly. I cannot wait for my next visit!

This restored theatre is an amazing venue for downtown concerts in Spokane. The location is very simple to get to from in town and out of towners. I watched the Christmas show from the Brian Setzer Orchestra which was an amazing show, there's not real bad seats in the house. We had an amazing view of the guitar slinging legend of rockabilly along with his rockin big band.

The ceiling at the Fox. Cool, huh?

I don't know the full range of events that you can see at the Fox, but I will tell you this: it is a beautiful, dignified space. It simultaneously feels like a large hall and a cozy, personal venue. The decor is great, the ushers are helpful, and the seats are comfortable. After watching Manhattan Transfer at the Fox last night, I am definitely eager to go back (for the right performer, of course).

The combined choir branches from whitworth.

Architecture: beautiful, not enough time to admire it really. Don't know the history of this place, but it's something else lemme tell ya' I took my wife to see the whitworth choir and they did not disappoint... For the most part. I'm not into opera singers.

Since the departure of professional theatre in Spokane, there is little doubt that "The Civic"…read morerules the roost. Most community theatre productions I have seen are geared towards family and friends of the performers with a mix of talented thespians and enthusiastic, if weaker, performers doing what they love. The Civic does not fall into this mold. Without a doubt, this is community theatre of the highest quality. Boasting two stages: a large traditional "main stage" and a "black box" theatre downstairs, Spokane Civic Theatre produces a mix of traditional productions such as "Hello Dolly" or "White Christmas" to offbeat shows such as "Rocky Horror Show" or "Putnam County." Bottom line: Don't miss the chance to see top notch theatre in Downtown Spokane!

The theatre itself is beautiful and the modest size creates a very intimate atmosphere with each production. Ticket prices are very reasonable. You seriously can't beat the view from the audience the ticket cost and the superb skills of the actors. I just saw the current production of Les Miserables and let me just say....it is PHENOMENAL. I've seen the show on Broadway and in San Fransisco and I think this production rivals those. Kudos to the board for bringing on a great director and music director for this musical and to the men and women of Spokane (and surrounding areas) for sharing their gifted voices with us. You have another adoring fan.

I spent over an hour trying to transfer them to my sister through their ticketing app. Nothing worked. When I called the main number for the theater for help, the manager picked up. She was immediately condescending and rude. She said, "Dear, I'm in the MIDDLE of OPENING and I'M the MANAGER and you can just go to the box office people and WORK IT OUT WITH THEM," and hung up on me. I never asked for a manager. I just needed help. They clearly don't have a real support system. No one was available to handle a simple ticketing issue. After everything I spent to attend, including hotel and airfare, being dismissed like that was unacceptable.

Wonderful little theater nestled snugly in the cockles of downtown Spokane…read more Productions are carefully selected and feature an abundance of local talent from playwrights to production crew, actors to lighting techs, set design to customer service. Community engagement and social mission are baked into the crust. Stage Left puts their (your) money where their (your?) mouth is in terms of diverting portions of ticket sales to local causes, and they have a land-lease arrangement with one of the local tribes. They are a progressive theatre, no doubt, and wear their politics proudly on their sleeve. Still, with the production I saw I was delighted to see politics riding shotgun to art and stagecraft; highly politicized subject matter was treated with more nuance and thoughtfulness than I was expecting frankly. It's a small theater so all the seats are good seats. Sound, lighting, and set design were very nice! The acting was almost universally awesome and actors seemed both very well-rehearsed and highly skilled in delivery. Prices are reasonable at $25 for weekend shows; it's a great night out and a solid value. Cheaper tickets are available during the week as well. You can buy beer and wine in the lobby to bring into the theater, alongside some other snacky sundries. The theater is downtown in one of the more distressed areas, so feel free to walk in pairs and not leave a bunch of tempting stuff visible in your vehicle.
