I'm reviewing this in 2 parts since the 2 have nothing to do with each other. First of all, if you are OCD about seating (such as me) get there about 30 minutes before doors open and you should have really good seating. Unlike a few of the reviews, i don't think the seating was overly packed and we just came from a sold out show. You will have to sit by random strangers if you are only 2, but this didn't really bother us. The bathroom is also easily accessible and kept clean. So here is the divide. They have a 2 item minimum which I don't mind, and most people are pretty acceptable to this, however, if you are going to have a 2 item minimum make sure there aren't so many issues and such a long wait for the food. Almost any item we ordered took about 30 minutes to get to us, including simple refills. I do understand at sold out shows there is probably a lot going on, but our table and even 2 tables next to us had additional issues with the food and the replacement food took the same amount of time to come back out instead of being a priority. It may just have been our server as she seemed a little rude and that anything we asked for was a bother, but we were not impressed. We would give the service a 1. The comedians deserve that 5 though. We came to see Samuel Comroe and both him and the opening act, James were hilarious. They seem to have quite a few other larger names that appear but this was our first show we went to. Also, the venue was clean and comfy. Another downfall was because it was sold out they had added another show, we tried to get in line for a picture and to buy something after the show but there is no way that line would be done by the time they had to start letting people in for the next show so we ended up leaving a little disappointed. Overall we had a great time and will likely go again for the comedy, just be prepared for slow and slightly rude service. read more

Went to a 7:30 show, arrived at 6:30. Doors opened promptly. Had general admission seating, and was lucky enough to be sat very near the front. There is a two item minimum, and every thing counts as an item (soda is the same as a cocktail). However, a $20 pitcher of beer counts as 3 and a bottle of wine counts as 2. Waitstaff was friendly and attentive. Hotdogs were pretty darn good (2/$12.50). Overall, (not counting the ticket price) 2 cocktails, a pitcher of beer, and 2 dogs cost ~$60. The comedy was great. Hands down the worst experience we had at this establishment. We have been to several shows in the past. I am not sure if staffing has changed, the incident we had at Saturday's show for Pauly Shore was unbelievable. We had only been at the show 10 minutes and were kicked out for laughing too loud. I am not sure if we were being profiled, but the bouncers acted almighty and kept telling us to quit laughing when the whole club was laughing. This was a packed house and how we were profiled and treated is wrong. We attempted to talk to the manager who walked away when security decided to kick us out without explanation, then they threatened to call the cops if we didn't leave. This is not a 1st incident like this same scenario happened to another set of friends. It is my understanding that a comedy club is made for laughing? Correct me if I am wrong. read more

Very Rude Staff. Slow Service. My new husband and I went here on our honeymoon and were very poorly treated. The bouncer stood right beside little me and purposefully intimidated me. I felt like I was being watched the whole time and it was extremely uncomfortable. We were well within the no cell-phones, no-talking, no-heckling rules. All we did was laugh at the comics' jokes. If you're a Comedy Club, you should expect to attract patrons who are exploring the city and simply having fun. I did nothing but try to enjoy myself and the comedy acts. If you're a fun couple who likes to have fun, just be warned to not have TOO much fun here or you'll get your hand slapped. I concur with another Reviewer who said, "The security was over the top. You literally cannot whisper to your neighbor about the act if you thought something was funny if you did you were asked to be quiet." read more

Had a great time. Doors were set to open at 630pm, but we got there at 635pm and the place was already packed with no line outside. We did get seated right away and every seat in the venue is a "good seat". Service was spot on and we have no trouble with drink refills or tabbing out at the end of the night. Show was hysterical, all three comedians brought their A game. We will return for sure. read more

I left Spokane 13 years ago. I had no clue what the comedy scene was there. I asked a friend of mine where to go and he suggested this club. I purchased my tickets online and took a friend there. Great show. Great club. My friend said his son, whom I had never met was hosting. Yelp took down my prior review as somebody errantly reported I was somehow on the inside. I do not know the owner of this club. I am not an employee of this club. I have never played this club. I purchased tickets. I did not know anybody at this club. I purchased the two drink minimum. To take my prior review down because my friend from 13 years ago said his son was the host is stupid. Setting that aside, it was refreshing to see a club in Spokane host nationally known comics. I visited here on a Thursday night. There were 50 people in the audience. It took 20 minutes just to get through the door because one security guy was checking people in. Seriously? In the middle of the show, at 9:15pm I checked the time on my phone once, received a warning from a server, checked it again at 10:26 and got kicked out by security. The show ended at 10:30 and the comedians sucked anyway. Seriously? Are you my mom? I paid $50 for this? The staff suck. I ordered a beer and it took them 25 minutes to pour it. The comedians were past their prime and seen better days. I have much better things to do on a Thursday night than deal with this crappy business. read more

Do not waste your time or money in this place! Comedians were okay but the service and bouncers were way over the top.... don't laugh to loud and def do not check the time on your phone ... the bouncers stand by you to intimidate you and ruin the whole experience. I came with some family and friends on a random weekend, and we had such a great time. The comedians were hilarious, and kept us laughing so hard the entire night- I even had tears in my eyes from laughing so much! Luckily we were one of the first seated and got a Table a few seats away from the stage. The servers were all very kind and quick with our orders. I'll definitely be coming back again! read more

I have been several times and they are always funny. It is a nice venue, clean, not a bad seat in the house. My only complaint is the 10% "convenience fee" they add to the ticket price. So tired of business adding hidden fees, its dishonest. They would get more stars if not for that. I will think twice before going again because of it. read more

New show Drew Lynch, we were a party of 6, 2 tables of 3 respectfully distanced in the very back of the room. The low top table of 4 in front of us, clearly the loud group, being shushed more that a dozen times and then when we laughed and clapped, we were asked 2 times to keep it down. But it wasn't us during either of those times we were being loud.. it was the 4 in front of us. My husband and I paid for the larger package with drinks and food and we were polite and tipped beyond our 15% gratuity we paid additional for. It was a disappointing show, unable to have a good time, with all the shushing. This was also for a friend's bday party. I realize we are new back open after COVID shut down, but I assure you, if this is the standard now for SCC we will have to take our fun else where. read more

The comedians are absolutely great but im a first timer and the bouncers were just plain out rude ....instead of explaining the rules to a person who is coming here for the first time they decide to stand next to me and anytime anyone in my group talked came up and "talked" to me because i took a drink from a high school friend while in line ! Have been here twice so far and I've had a great time! Very great option for groups! Just make sure to let them know your party size and they will help you sit together. (I've been here in groups of 5 and 8 and it was just fine). Here's the thing: you get what you pay for sometimes and comedy is no exception. I think it is important to check out the comic and see if they are your style. I think you might laugh more in proportion with what you pay for the show! Or maybe not, I've been to a free show and to a $15 show. I'll try out their open mic on Wed (that doesn't have an item minimum, and I'll try a big headliner soon). As far as the items to order the wine is probably the best deal, and you can get a bottle (and that counts for 3 items towards your tab). They also have movie theatre type food (so think Hot Tamales, Swedish Fish, Popcorn, and Nachos). Full range of mixed drinks too on the menu. This is the fifth time I have been to the Spokane Comedy Club and the acts are always good, what isn't good is the service. Every time we go it takes forever to get drinks and food. This is something that has not been a slight annoyance to me, but nothing that would prevent me from coming back. This Friday we went and my husband and I ordered soda, hotdogs and popcorn. The drinks and popcorn came out, then my husband's hotdogs came out shortly after. My hotdog never came out, so we asked a server (my server was nowhere to be found) who said the kitchen was backed up. I was like ok no biggie. I ate my popcorn and enjoyed the acts. Eventually, last call was happening and my server shows up, so I tell her my food never came out, but it's ok and I just wanted to make sure I don't get charged. She apologized and asked if I still wanted it. I told her no it's totally fine and the popcorn ended up being enough food. Literally, no big deal. I have been a server and get that sometimes mistakes happen. She ended up bringing the hotdog out anyway, didn't charge me, and said there was a pass for a free show. I wrote her a note on the bill saying thanks for making it right and tipped the standard 20%. I left feeling like the situation went down well. Like, I wasn't a bitch to her about it and she still went out of her way to make it right for me. I did end up eating 1/4 of the dog and some chips. Later that night I was violently sick. Then get home and find a free open mic night punch card instead of an actual pass. I believe the kitchen staff/server messed with my food and played me for a chump after I was chill about the whole thing. I wish I could take back the note and the tip. If you go, expect drink and food delays/mistakes, and only get food in pre-sealed containers. read more

Get here early. If you did not buy VIP tickets, it first come first serve on seating. Also, if there is a Big name comedian coming, make sure to buy your tickets before hand. There were a few people sent away because there was no more tickets available. I went and saw Tom Segura live. That man is one funny S.O.B. The staff is very quick with getting you seated, very quick with getting your drinks. The service is very tentative. This place is very close to the Davenport, and other local hotels. We waled from the Davenport to the comedy club. It was only about a 10 to 15 minute walk. read more

I've been here twice and both times it was super funny and a great environment. The Wednesday open mic comedy has over 25 comedians and all but maybe 2 were great which is pretty amazing! We also went for a weekend show and enjoyed the openers and main performer! You do have to have two items to eat/ drink but that's easy to do and worth it! Great venue. The staff was awesome. Super friendly. The Cadillac Margaritas were really good, my son and I had the doubles. The headliner last night was John Caparulo, and he tore it up. Bobcat Goldthwait in August near my birthday will be a definite must see. It's awesome that there is a venue here in Spokane that can bring in some big names. The confirmation email does say 'no refunds' but many times before I was able to receive a voucher for a show that was not a special event. This was not the case this time. This review is based on a specific night. I have been to many shows and have enjoyed myself in the past but this last outing was very off putting and I couldn't really enjoy the rest of the show. So, we saw Shawn Wayans and he was everything that I was hoping to see, comparing my idea of what I wanted to experience to what he has done throughout his whole career. He was absolutely hilarious and did not disappoint and his opening act, Suli "Crazy Legs" McCullough, was very funny also. But with that said, our night of laughter was annoyingly interrupted twice by two different security staff of the comedy club, who falsely accused us of either talking or laughing too loud during the show. I am not sure what they actually were complaining about since it was so loud to clearly hear what they said to my friend of color who they kept approaching but allegedly we were loud enough to be heard over the combined laughter from everyone in attendance while security were not really near our table. However, the group that was on the left of us on the other side of the autograph area were talking so loud during times when it was silent and not one security staff approached them. I have been to many shows here and anyone that I have attended a show with are always very respectful to every act that we have seen. We give our full undivided attention to them, we don't shout out, we don't get belligerent and we respect the rules of the club. I have never encountered this problem before and all of us were put off so much that night it kind of ruined our enjoyment the rest of the time. I have also hear from numerous other too that had recent attended past shows, kind of experiencing that same kind of treatment. I am not sure what is going on with certain staff here but I suggest that there be some uniform training in what is disruptive and what is not because I assure you that we were not disruptive. Hopefully, if we ever attend future shows, we never experience this again. read more

This is exactly what Spokane needs. I went here with a group of eight, all virgins to the club. We all had blast. I haven't laughed so hard in such a long time. Robert Hawkins was the headline comedian. The staff was excellent, seating was great, drinks were on point, and clean establishment. Open mic night is free on Wednesdays. I'll have to check out the local talent. Highly recommend going here. read more

I wish I could give a higher rating because the comedians were hilarious and I want to support a local comedy club that brings big names....but... every time I've gone the staff is militant, angry,and rude. Starting at the entry, the staff frowningly hushes you, even a polite question brings a look and hand up in your face to stop you talking, and the staff seems annoyed by your presence, like they expect trouble from all their customers. It felt like entering a prison yard. Not a classy or welcoming place. On the positive, they were grumpily well organized, the seating flow went smoothly, our waitress was good (only staff person who was polite and smiled a little), and the show was amazing. Too bad really. Could be top notch if staff treated the customers with the least degree of warmth. I'm sure they have to deal with some drunk jerks but that doesn't excuse treating every customer like they are a drunk jerk. read more

Nice new location, good sound, quick entry. Downside is the place has no AC!! Which is insane when it's 90 out and 300 people are inside, it's downright choking especially the way seating is arranged at 4-5 people per cocktail table. The two drink minimum is weird, considering my ticket was 40$, why not just raise the ticket prices instead of playing that game on arrival? Bathrooms are small, expect a line. The comedians are looking good though with some bigger names..not sure if I'll be back anytime soon though. read more
