Apple River Park Square - Impressive place!

Took advantage of a deal my carrier offered for a free iPhone 17 Pro. When it arrived (long story…read moreshort), it "died" during the backup restoration process. I spent a total of FOUR HOURS. stretched across 2 days, going back-and-forth between Apple phone techs, the carrier, back to Apple, back to the carrier..... After a frustrating rant at the two, I was directed to the "Genius Bar" at the Apple Store in River Park Square. Well, thank GOD they did! I was impressed the moment I walked in. I was greeted, my appointment was in the system along with the long case log. They directed me to "Karen" who immediately was able to unlock and wipe the new phone to its factory settings. After some skillful diagnostics, she was able to determine the problem was in the restoration sequence from the old phone. From there she was able to revive the new phone and get it to working status. Yes, I would have to reinstall my apps again, but I don't care. They said they would order a "backup" phone in case this one dies again. But, I think it's going to be fine. Thanks to the team at the Genius Bar - especially Karen, who was patient, efficient and personable. My thanks, also, to the store manager (sorry, I didn't get his name) for his understanding and compassion. The store is bright and lively with plenty of helpful, knowledgeable staff moving about taking care of whoever walks in. If you ever have a need for service on any of your Apple devices, or you're looking for top drawer products and service, this is the place to go.

Even the top guys had not been able to figure out why I couldn't hear audio from social media or music or dialogue from movies. Dalton just downloaded the hearing aide app & figured out that it was because my hearing aides were not balanced & all the sound was going to the right (unconnected) side. I hadn't been wearing the right aide because my ear had been plugged up with yukky wax or I might have known the obvious cause. Yay, Dalton!!!

There's a huge parking lot and the store is pretty easy on/off from the freeway. If you don't want to spend any time in the store, you can always order online and then just zip into the pick spot to grab the item. Not quite curbside pick-up, but almost! And, they usually have in-stock items pulled within the hour. Definitely my go-to place for any large order copying too. Jae is super helpful and efficient!

Was sold a defective standing desk; told to call product support to obtain the correct parts…read more Spent 40 minutes on the phone, parts no longer made, and my credit card payment couldn't be refunded because someone had "deleted the transaction" out of the system. Returned the desk to the store, was told since the order had been cancelled a refund had probably already occurred and to check my statement. I drove home and did so--no refund. I took photos of the statement and returned to the store; clerk wanted a printed statement. She called the manager, who said to do a refund "without receipt," so the money finally went back on my card. The manager said, in a couple of weeks, if a second refund appeared on the card, to "let us know. You know, be that person," implying that I might be dishonest. Given all that had happened, I found that attitude offensive--I fully intended to notify them if a refund appeared. In short, this store sells defective products, expects the customer to do all the legwork to set the situation right, and is rude in addition. I won't shop here again and suggest others don't either.

While traveling we ended up at the Best Buy in Spokane…read more THE SERVICE: well this is hard to explain...(coming from California) because EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE at the store was soooo NICE. From the moment we walked in the front door people had smiles and they connected to customers as people walked in the door (for whatever reason in California connecting and smiling is not always the goal when it comes to service) The store has great selection and good sales. I assume ALL Best Buys offer the same prices because they are a corporation, or if some stores have better prices. Regardless, of cost for product the overall service was genuinely AMAZING. SIDE NOTE I want to live in a town like Spokane

Associate believed that what he was recommending was the correct piece, I corrected him, he said he…read morenever heard about that before; basically saying that I was mistaken. I tried his product on my speaker, and as I figured, it did not work. These people working at this establishment; I've had issues before, must realize that one size doesn't fit all. And stop recommending the wrong product; even after I told him it wasn't right. He basically just walked away, 'walk of shame', thinking that I didn't know what I was talking about. He couldn't admit that he was wrong. He gave up on me, and walked away. He didn't suggest another product-'probably his pride'. These associates are amateurs, basically knowing the minimum possible to 'get by'. Management needs to have better training sessions, and teach his team more knowledge on the products in the store. And teach that pridefulness is considered a mortal sin (Christian belief). The product he suggested was way under valued and obviously not for my high fidelity Bluetooth speaker. Such a simple solution, but his lack knowledge hindered the sale, and I walked away.
