Normally I love this place, some decent deals to be had, but I believe I had my credit card hacked there, so it may be better to use your phone to pay rather than a credit card. I read some of the reviews and I guess I'm not the only one treated rudely. The guy with the black beard actually wore a shirt saying " I don't like people", very odd. Also you really need to watch what what you buy. A lot of the prices are the same or sometimes more than when purchasing new, especially the groceries. If you go to the store expect to be treated and an absolute rude manner of my employees and especially about the owner. If price is a Miss more you can expect the owner to tell you that it's a mistake you can't have it for that price. But I will give you the correct price and that is what you'll have to pay. Warehouse worker gave me one price front desk workers said it was different, the price they said was the same as brand new. She phoned a worker and I heard him say "no we don't give deals sorry" sarcastically and was very rude. What is a discount store that doesn't give deals? Was at the North Spokane store yesterday and spent over $150. Instead of being treated like valued customer, we were treated like scum bags. Worked with several employees and was treated the same way with everyone. So terribly disengaged with the customers. Telling us to move, get out off the way, and very very impatient. I think the owner or manager need a whole NEW staff. read more

Ah, spokane discount.....there's nowhere else like it! This store is half yard sale, half retail store....it's totally cheap prices with a total lack of customer service! Folks....welcome to the wild west of shopping! If you're like me, you aren't shopping here for their top tier customer service. You are here because the price is right! If you've never been here, you can expect to find a lot of returned items from Costco and Wal-mart. Some are like new and other are.....not....not even close. To be fair, it seems like they are actually trying these days. Staff is still generally unhelpful (although there are some great workers who are very helpful), but at least they've really cleaned up the store. A few years ago, they actually stored all of their excess inventory on site in the valley (most of it outdoors!), which often resulted in weather damaged items. They now have a storage building elsewhere - which makes this place look presentable. When you go in, you have to have a reasonable idea of what these things cost at other stores. If you go in blind, you can get robbed. For example, I was looking for a single pair of leather gloves (the yellow leather ones that costco sells). I happened to know that a pack of 3 at Costco is like $16, however one pair was going for like $12. I've actually seen "like new" belts going for more than the price at Costco. If you do know your general prices, you can get some screaming deals here. It's also an excellent place if you are looking for odds and ends, like a single sheet for your Costco bed or a single piece of tupperware from your Costco set. I placed my list of "best values to date" below to give you an idea of some of the deals that I've found here. Plan on spending a bit longer than normal here if you are looking for these deals. It takes a while to cipher through the clutter to find the deals. Also, make sure to understand the return policy before you buy stuff. Some returns can be 30 days...others no returns at all. I'm sure there's some method to the madness - I'm just not sure what it is. If you have a few minutes to look around, Spokane Discount is an awesome place to check out! Best values to date: Costco leather couch - costco retail $900. Picked up for $360 with some pretty minor scratches on the back. Super nice bed sheets (online retail $110). Picked up for $11.00, with a cut in one of the pillow sheets. This only took a couple minutes to sew shut. Brand New Butterball Turkey Deep Fryer (working) - Costco retail $130. Some good deals but beware!! Returns are not allowed, even if the items you purchase is broken and doesn't work! I bought a bubble making machine and it doesn't work at all and they won't let me return or exchange it. I also bought a Tupperware set and it was missing lids! Can't return or exchange it either. Will not be going back. I'd rather pay full price and get working and complete items. read more

If planning on only swinging by the Spokane Discount for a few minutes, think again! This place has it all. I'm assuming the Spokane Discount sells Costco returns because the shop was full of Costco products. They have clothing, furniture, appliances, electronics and more. Their prices are spot on and their sales are fair. Employees will plug in electronics and appliances in store to let you test them out. Most items come with a 30 day warranty. I picked up a Sony AV Receiver for a fraction of even Ebay prices. It's a little rough around the edges and you may have to dig through items to find what you're looking for but its well worth it. read more

Their prices don't make it worth the time, work, and hassle that it takes to shop there. Things are often about the same price as Costco(where most of it came from in the first place) and more expensive then Walmart of Grocery Outlet for the food. It's dirty, there' s a lot of junk and outdated food(like over a year!) to go through, and only half of it seems to have price tags--especially the housewares. In the late 1990s to early 2000s, I shopped there because they had some name brand stew in small sizes not sold at other retailers. In my first time there, when I was leaving, the owner said that there was a sign to check in bags; I told him that I did not see it any and he said that it was covered up. At a later time, I found it -- a very small sign. On another time, a female cashier was yelling at me if I was ready -- when I was at the end of an aisle far from her and told her that if I was ready that Would be at the register -- they must hire from the bottom of the barrel. At the next to last time I was here, I came in 20 minutes before closing and was yelled at by a blonde male mustached emlpoyeethug about them needing to be out in a few minutes even though it only took me a couple of minutes to get what I came for. During all this time, the owner (Steve Waco) was on the computer oblivious to everything and not inclined to do anything about abusive service. If he says otherwise, his memory is lousy and I dare hime to call me a liar. I don't know if their customer service has cleaned up or not since then. read more

I took my parents to the store and when we got ready to check out I ask the young man if he would open the taped up packages of underwear to make sure that there were four pairs in each package. This young man was very kind and had no problem doing this for us. When one of the packages had only three pairs I told him we didn't want them . He said they would adjust the price. He than asked an older female employee how to do this.This woman yelled across the way "figure it out yourself." I was appalled at this behavior in front of customers and other employees. The young man stayed very calm and always kept a smile on his face. I told him thank you and than apologized for her behavior. No establishment should allow other employees to treat fellow employees that way. Shame on you. read more

This place may not be much to look at on the inside, but I have definitely scored some of my best deals here. The key is to pay attention to their sales codes that are posted on the front door. Terrible customer service. I called in the morning to ask if they had a full size mattress and box spring. They said yes and then quoted me a price of 130 plus tax. I sent someone to go pick it up and when he got there they sent him away saying they didn't carry beds. I called again asking about the situation when they verified again that they did have the mattress and box spring. When I sent the person back to pick it up they then said that the cost was 230 plus tax. Not wanting to waste any more time or trips I had him pay the price for it. They need to train their people answering the phone to know what they have for inventory and quote the correct price over the phone read more

Owner is greedy and unprofessional. Three items all priced the same and claimed they were "jumper tags". Instead of just saying I'm sorry but I cannot honor this price, he proceeded to manipulate my words and belittle his employees. Will never shop there again! Their stuff consist of broken Costco returns that are often priced higher than the original at Costco. The owner told me he was going to suspend a employee for 5 weeks because she gave me the wrong discount code which happens to change daily. Very rude and has no customer service skills. I pray the poor lady doesn't get laid off because of his strange pricing policies. I know many people that have quit just because of the owner. No one deserves to be treated that way. When buying anything from here please compare price to other store via Internet on your phone. Especially if tags are missing. They tried to sell me a jacket 1/2 off from $55.99 to $27 plus tax = almost $30. When I could have just picked it up the same jacket at Costco for $24.99. Spokane Discount? I think Spokane Ripoff!
