Been looking for a spot to look after my high end Cervelo Racing Bike. After being completely ripped off by American Cyclery in San Francisco, I was really scared to take it in somewhere for a bit of tlc. I took it in a couple of weeks back and the guys are absolutely exceptional and it was such a pleasure taking it there. The guy there was friendly and helpful, no waiting, and I was riding off on my bike in five minutes. I didn't even have to sign a contract or anything; just gave him my driver's license. The bike was in decent condition for a rental and had a quick-adjust seat which I used a couple times in the coming minutes to tweak its height for maximum comfort. I enjoyed doing business here. Carlos I believe it was, is very helpful and patient. He helped me load my little boy up on the bike and found my girl the perfect bike. She was having a hard time with one of the bikes, then we found a good fit. The child's back seat that is connected comes at no extra cost. He even went ahead and added a couple quarters to my meter just case we were late. The parking is good because you park grab a bike and ultimately ride right back to your car at the end, instead of walking to the board walk. read more

Great spot near the canals and boardwalk to rent bikes from, you hop on and in a couple minutes you're by the bike path, and it seemed to be a bit less busy (shorter wait) than the ones right by the beach. Carlos provided a helmet for my boyfriend's son, and gave us some advice on time and rides. It was much appreciated! If you get there on a weekday or slow time, you can try to park a couple blocks inland from the shop for free street parking on Washington Blvd, otherwise it's lots and meters. read more

I wish I caught the name of the gentleman who worked here when we came to inquire about bike rentals. I THINK it was Carlos but I'm not 100%. Anyway, it was nearing closing time and folks were quickly returning their bikes. My hubby and I thought we'd stop by to just check it out. He quickly gave us the run down and explained how it all worked. He let us know that we should come back with our daughter sometime to rent the bike with the child seat on the back, as it too was only $8 per hour. This is a great little spot. It's just far enough off the main drag that it's not too crowded and not so loud when trying to figure out what you're gonna do. Carlos asked us to come and see him again. We saw how friendly he was, too, with his customers. That alone makes me want to return. With the weather that's supposed to be coming up, we may just go back and see him sooner than we thought. Carlos is a neighborhood staple. I purchased a very old bike off Craigslist and every time I have brought it to Carlos he has been able to source, repair & be kind all at the same time. After a getting a flat after a recent tune up, Carlos went out of his way to repair the issue, even spending an entire weekend getting the right tires for the bike. He has gone out of his way every time to make sure that I'm happy and, most of all, safe. I've brought friends who are visiting to his bike shop and he's always supplied them with safe and fun bikes to spend the day with. Prices are outrageously reasonable & his selection is huge. Carlos was the sweetest man ever! These bikes were only $25 for A WHOLE DAY! We had the bikes from 10 am to 6 pm and it was soooo nice and easy, we just had to pay cash. We even got to pick out our bike styles and colors, which was so cool. This place is a million times better than the city "pay by the hour" bikes for so many reasons!! The only thing I recommend is requesting multiple bike locks if you are 2 or more people for ease! Sunday 1/27/2019 I walked my bike to this establishment. My handle bars were loose and my back tire was flat. After approaching the place. I realized they catered to rentals. However, this amazing man name Carlos asked if I needed anything. I shared my issues with him and within 30mins, both tires received air, my handle bars were stripped so he replaced it and tightened my bolts on each tire. He only would accept $5.00. A wide variety of bikes available, all in tip top shape. My 7 speed bike was a perfect fit for me.
