This was the best $16 I spent on my LA layover. Perfectly situated close to Venice beach and Santa Monica, I was able to rent a beach cruiser and within minutes I was on the beautiful, spacious bike path. I rode for about 2 hours. I didn't rent a bike at their new location. I had my own bike and it had a flat tire. The guy who was working there was super nice and helpful so I can only imagine how nice they would be to actual customers. He helped me fix my tire so I can ride home. This would be a great place to rent bikes to explore Venice, Ballona Wetlands or better yet ride all the way to Hermosa or 3rd St. Promenade. Went from Venice to Santa Monica twice for $12. Shop owner was super friendly and provided me with directions and a lock. Bikes held up nicely and functioned properly. At the end of my trip I was able to purchase a cold bottle of water for $1.50 which was extremely convenient. The 7 minute walk away from the beach was definitely worth it. read more

This place is SUPER awesome. I live in the area but don't want to own a bike. Whenever I come, there is always a bike in great condition for a good price. Carlos really takes care of you. The shop has a good collection of cruisers, hybrids and even a few road bikes in GREAT condition. It's right by the beach, close to the bike path, so you can park, get a bike, bike along the beach, return the bike and go home easily. I took my bike in for a tune up prior to using it in my first triathlon. Carlos was amazing, my bike works beautifully. Wow - this was the best bike rental experience I have ever had. First, we arrived before they were open and the owner opened and rented us bikes anyway. He was very nice and made sure everything was fine before we left. And the price was very reasonable - we rented bikes for the entire day for $25 per bike. And that included helmets and locks. We had a great day biking the ocean front path. Went to Manhattan Beach and back and it was awesome. If you are going to be renting bikes I would definitely do it from this establishment. read more
