I attended Ross Allison's Ghost Hunt upon the Turner Joy Ship, and it was not only fun & spooky, but adventurous, insightful, enlightening, informative, and just downright fun! The crowd that attended the first debut of this specific tour, were given an extra treat, as Ross showed us his most recent episode of "Unknown Truth" which Ross directed himself along with his fellow colleagues. And, even better, this did NOT take up any part of the tour time that we were promised! The next thing that followed was also a very nice thing that I must commemorate Ross for...Well, lets back up just one step...Directly on the website, it tells you what exactly what you need to bring in order to get the best experience out of your ghost hunting tours! Now back on the main part of the tour...Ross gave a Ghost 101 "class" if you will, showing us and informing us of the different ghost hunting equipment out there, and also told us how most Ghost hunting shows on tv actually fool us, and mislead, unlike Ross who most certainly keeps it real. This class is certainly a delight for first time ghost hunters and beginners, as it informs them how to properly use the equipment provided, like EMF detectors and whatnot, as well as the different types out there. Also he spoke of the history of the ship which provided us the names of the spirits so we could communicate directly with them by being able to address them by name. There were 23 people on this tour, and we were broken down into 2 teams, in which later were broken down into smaller groups of 4 for a more intimate one on one session of ghost hunting with your fellow peers. What was nice about being broken into teams, is that EVERYBODY got to experience every part of the ship offered, meaning EVERYONE got to have the full experience, meaning that no one was left out, which makes it an absolutely great tour, and great experience! Later we regrouped and got to hear some of the EVP's we captured, and Ross explained the best way to analyze the material you had captured. Now...Those of you that do not have EMF, or EVP Detectors or cannot afford them...Do NOT be discouraged!!! There are EMF/EVP Detectors that you can purchase on your very own Personal Cell Phone for as low as $10.00!!!! All I can say, is that I had a blast, and that I for one, will definitely be attending more of Spooked In Seattle's Tours, and will be looking into joining his team A.G.H.O.S.T. We took our entire family teenagers included and EVERYONE had a good time! Our family has always enjoyed shows about the paranormal, but we are not into being terrified. This tour was very professional and based on evidence and facts. We have seen the Turner Joy before in the daylight and to hear the eerier side of her history was truly a fun experience. We did even have our own encounter while on board. In the smaller aft bunkroom we laid our flashlights on the table and they were turning on and off in response to our questions! My daughter thought she would be too scared to enjoy the tour, but at the end of the night she was asking when we could something like it again! Thank you so much for making this a good experience. I will say if you cannot climb a ladder then this tour is not for you. There are no eleveators to take you to the different levels of the ship and the stairs/ladders are fairly steep. I do have knee and back trouble, but was able to make it up and down ok, but I do not require a wheelchair. Also not a great idea if you are carrying a baby. I would also not recommend bringing young children who do not know how to behave and follow directions as they could fall down one of the open accesses or they may be tempted to run into restricted areas. Also keep in mind people are trying to capture evidence with audio and any screaming, yelling, crying can carry and contaminate evidence. It can also be a bit scary for younger children as they do turn out the lights. But it was a great way to spend time with my teenagers! read more

Worst tour ever! You walk around the city block while a guide dressed like a big top ring master shows you a couple of videos and pictures on a IPAD. Tales of stories that have no significance are told at each site you stop at in front of buildings. At one point the crowd is taking to a hot basement in a bar and told that taking pictures (which is encouraged) may result in orbs or dust being captured. Once you complete the boring walk which is the tour you are returned to the start. There you will be walked into the back room to listen to recordings of "voices" captured during their paranormal hunts (which you can watch on TV for free). Lastly the horror museum consisting of items that would be purchased in any flee market and decorated with a variety of plastic skeletons, none of these items are of any specific connection to the Seattle area. This tour could have used technology better to assist the tour and could have capture the true horrors of the occupation and construction of the city by doing just a little research. Do yourself a favor and buy a book or just walk the Seattle area and read the historic signs posted. You'll get more entertainment and information that way. You have been warned. read more

i attended the Ghost Tour a few weeks back, remembering to keep an open mind concerning the spiritual and metaphysical world. I showed up at the tour around 8pm, outside of Ye Olde Curiosity shop (one of my favorite areas in the Seattle area) I was impressed by the bravado and charm of the red-headed tour guide, who seemed to practically ooze with mystery - i knew that i was in for an interesting night. we headed out to the greater Pike Place Market, where our guide proceeded to tell us incredible historical facts about seattle and its hauntings. at one point in particular, we were listening to a story about a small child on the pier who had been "found" through a paranormal investigation. our guide asked us to walk by the alleged haunted carousel to see if we felt anything strange. there was definitely something strange about that carousel, something i felt before she had even mentioned the child. the rest of the tour was fascinating, however, the best parts of the tour were without a doubt the Kells Irish Pub, the Antique Shop and the Carousel. well worth the money and time. great exercise too! read more

My wife and I were exploring the streets of Seattle when we ran into Aten, a very knowledgable and passionate individual who persuaded us to check out the Spooked in Seattle spot. Now I'm curious about the paranormal but I usually don't like to do these type of tours because I usually think of it as a scam but after an extensive conversation on Aten's experience as a paranormal investigator and his views on the paranormal - we were sold!! The tour was great and to my relief, the tour is not supposed to scare you, rather it is suppose to explain the history, paranormal cases and the evidence to support. I'm glad we had Aten as our tour guide, as he was very knowledgeable and knew how to lighten up the mood for those that were scared (me). The tour was held after a Seahawks game where people were rowdy in the not-the-best part of Seattle but Aten was very professional in dealing with hecklers and was very considerate of the group. I would definitely take the tour again with Aten next time I'm in town! read more

We went into Ye Olde Curiosity Shop and found that a "Ghost tour" was just getting ready to leave. On a whim, we quickly paid $13 a piece and went outside with about 16 other people. My sisters and I had a great time! Ross, our tour guide, was appropriately dressed and very knowledgeable, not to mention a terrific story teller. I liked that the information presented was based on real, colorful Seattle history, so I in addition to having a fun time, I learned a lot. Ross brought a digital tablet to show photos and video of some of the people suspected to be the ghosts before they died. The most amazing thing for me was the audios of two or three ghosts, where you could clearly hear what they were saying. In the underground, my sister said she felt a boy's presence, and that he was tugging on clothing to get attention. Ross said that indeed, a man from a previous tour felt repeated tugging on his clothing, and when he turned around to admonish his wife, there was no one there. I heartily recommend this tour. Wear comfortable shoes, and if you go on a late tour, bring a friend because there are some sketchy people downtown at night. read more

Top notch ghost tour! My aunt and I researched many ghost tours on the area and decided on this one. We were not disappointed. It was brilliant. Personally, I'm a believer in ghosts. But the wonderful thing about this tour is that I believe skeptics would immensely enjoy themselves as well. The majority of the tour is rooted in history and stories. It is not a ghost hunt, though it does have a nice paranormal feel to it. I thought it was a perfect blend. Jerome was our tour guide and he was awesome. He talked loud enough for everyone to hear and took into account my aunts mild handicap as we walked around. He was very engaging with the people on the tour, as well as entertaining. The stops were very interesting and diverse, along with the stories that go along with them. We got a little bit of everything. I was very pleased and would not hesitate to go another tour with them. My girlfriend and I did the tour on the 24th of Aug. Meet up with Ross, awesome tour guide. At the ye olde curiosity Shoppe on waterfront. It was 90 minutes of great tales, story and true facts about Seattle and its ghostly history. Truly creepy which I loved. Was able to take so really awesome, ghostly photos. I highly recommend this tour. It's cheaper then then rest and you get more chills and thrills for your buck. Again, Ross was our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Seattle and its background and is a very passionate ghosthunter which brought another great quality to the tour, having someone who was truly into their field of work doing the tour instead of high schooler needing a summer job. My family & I had an awesome time on the Spooked in Seattle Pioneer Square ghost tour! Our guide was very knowledgeable on the history of the area! The stories were great! The tours are led by actual ghost investigators, which my kids (ages 9 & 14) thought was pretty cool! One of my favorite things about the tour was being able to listen to EVP 's (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) that the guides have captured on investigations of the places that we were visiting. I loved being able to go into Merchants Cafe, Seattle's oldest & one of the most haunted restaurants! Another favorite place we learned about was the Pioneer Square Hotel. My family & I happened to be staying there at the time, so it was pretty cool hearing about the history & ghostly activity that was taking place there. Had a great time on this tour! My mom and I were visiting Seattle for the first time and both Luke ghost stories so we decided to book a spooky walking tour of the Pioneer Square area. While this isn't a 'haunted' or staged attraction, the stories definitely are creepy and enough to give you the heebie jeebies and chills. Our tour guide Rai was awesome, funny and informative, adding a bit of humor to the stories as we went along. The tour itself was easy walking and interactive with photos, recordings, and going inside many of the places where the ghost stories took place. We both really enjoyed the history that goes along with each story and it was fun to get a glimpse of the underground before the tour was over. Went on Spooked in Seattle Tour today with a friend tonight at 6pm. I bought the tour on a whim due to a Groupon I came upon. I normally do not go on such things. I became dizzy and very thirsty by the end so I headed out for air ASAP. However, I and my friend really enjoyed it. My friend wants to come back for their movies. With the Groupon deal going on maybe go wild and buy couple and go with a whole bunch of friends. Then head back after the tour to one of the haunted bars they stop at and have some dinner and drinks and get 10% off your bill. Ross was our tour Guide and he is very personable and well spoken. The EVP recordings Ross shared were absolutely cool. I liked how it was not a tour to scare the crap out of you but one with some actual history. read more

The "Spooked in Seattle" bonus Pioneer Square tour was amazing. Our tour guide was Graham. Graham was very articulate, knowledgeable, humorous and an excellent guide. The "Merchants Cafe" I liked the best. Graham took us there ,and gave us his narration about the establishment then said he would go inside to ask if the group was allowed inside. Graham got us inside, and took us to the "Underground" section of the Cafe. Once down inside the cafe he went into detail about events that occur there, showed evidence and took us to a very special area up at the bar. Graham made our tour visit very interesting, and informative. I work in the Pioneer Square neighborhood of Seattle and saw the advertisement for a Ghost tour. My teenage sister happened to be visiting so I thought this would be a fun activity for us to do. We took the 8:15pm tour with Ross who was very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the Pioneer Square. He had lots of old photographs, a couple of videos, and even some EVP's to listen to. We were able to go into a couple of the buildings too. We didn't catch a glimpse of any ghosts, but we left completely satisfied with our new found knowledge of the morbid history of Seattle. I would recommend this tour to those seeking a fun and informative walk through Seattle's oldest neighborhood. read more

We did an investigation of the Turner Joy in Bremerton last night! It was terrific. Ross was our guide and he did a fantastic job of showing all of us where the activity has taken place, the history of these areas and of the boat itself. He also shared previously found evidence from areas. It was a lot of fun! My son who is 13 came with me on this tour and he had a great time too. We were thrilled that we actually got to do an investigation - no hype or staged stuff designed to scare. We caught a couple of great EVPs and had some great experiences. I took the tour on a rainy, dark Sunday. (1/27/13) Enjoyed it very much. Even though the group was large, our guide, Mark, made sure everyone got to see the pictures on his Ipad screen. He took us around Pioneer Square after meeting us at the Old Curiosity Shop. Learned a lot about Seattle history and living conditions during the Alaska gold rush. He even had recordings of ghostly voices in the background of people's conversations. I don't remember the technology he used, but it sounded legitimate. The presentation was well researched and not gimmicky. Driving home, I got spooked by shadowy figures of pedestrians on the sidewalk and crossing the street. read more

This tour was great! Went with a friend on a Friday night and got Ross as the guide. I have been very interested in the paranormal since I was young so it was great to hear some stories about the history and about the paranormal in my hometown. Ross is also a great guy and is great with speaking to the group and being the tour guide. Their headquarters also houses the start of their death museum with some very creepy and interesting artifacts. This was a interesting, spooky, tour full of history and mystery! Aten our tour guide was really what made the tour. My grandma went with and is hard of hearing, Aten made sure she was right next to him before he would share his story with us and made sure she had a chair to sit in when she needed it. We only walked about a block and I had no idea of the history within that one block. Aten pointed out architecture to look for and had pictures, videos and sound bites when it came to the ghost side of everything.
