Wow, sneaker central.. Sporty LA has everything you could ever want from a sneaker store... All mall & chain store's pail in comparison to Sporty LA. You want Van's , Air Jordan's , Converse or what ever you wear they have it plus stuff you've never ever scene in your life... Let's just say if you've wanted it, they got it! Staff is a little slow but who cares as long as they have your size in stock... So if your a shoe enthusiast well this is what shoe heaven looks like !

Kicks, Kicks, Kicks, Kicks, Kicks, Kicks! Damn their Kicks so cold, pneumonia in them sh*ts! Stamp! Sportie LA....... Man, where to start. The year before I moved to LA, I came out to visit my sister and she knows I have a love for shoes. So where did she bring me when I came out ....? Sportie. LA. Upon entry, my eyes went from ground level and started moving upward at least 2 feet past my height of nothing...........but...........shoes. It was overwhelming, I was almost in need of CPR. * Nikes * Reeboks * Pumas * Vans * Jordan's * PF Flyers * Adidas * Toms I mean their shoe game runs deeper than 12-foot pool! That's pretty deep player. And the socks!!!!! I nice selection of socks from various companies. I like the variety they showed in their sock game. Someone like me will notice that, acknowledge it & then proceed to appreciate it. So anyway....... My sister brings me in and I find a shoe I'm rockin' with. I ask the rep, "You got these in a 10?". He instantly replies, "No". I'm like, ok damn -- like you not even gonna check bruh? Before I could reply he said, "But let me check my other location down the street. They might have it." Yo, you should've seen my face. ANOTHER STORE DOWN THE STREET?! You mean there's more!!!!! I couldn't believe it. Apparently, there wasn't just one more store down the street, there were SEVERAL!! No, but I'm so serious. On Melrose, between Fairfax & La Brea there were at least 4 locations that I was told about (I believe there are only three currently). They even have one shop solely dedicated to kids shoes. So back to my initial experience........ The homie called down the street and what do you know......?! THEY HAD THEM! But was I told to walk down the street and pick 'em up? Nope. Shoes were hand delivered to me at the location I was currently at. That experience was over five years ago. But l still remember it. And since moving to LA I've kept Sportie in the pocket for unique shoe come ups. PARKING: Strictly street parking. Curb side. Meters. Not many spaces so one could be driving around the block a few times | FYI

    Broken "leather"

Bought some Asic onisuka tiger brown leather, wore them for two days and they started falling apart. After closer inspection the shoes dont appear to be real. See pictures:

Almost makes me feel like a criminal in the sense that they think i am there to steal, and they like can't even hide it. They're not friendly at all, they lack that welcoming environment so much. I went today to see if its changed and it has not. Its safe to say, we are done for good with them. I rather pay more and drive further out to buy our sports gear. If theres anything they can change is; don't assume people are just going to rob you, and if you do assume do not make it obvious, still be helpful and friendly because you don't know if someone might be a loyal and returning customer, smile and be friendly, customer service is one of the most important things in keeping customers! I went one of those 3 times about 5 yrs ago. 5 months pregnant, with my 2 sons (aged 4 and 6) to get my husband a father's day gift and even then, I felt that way. They have a nice clean store and set up. We usually like to help mom and pop stores, but this is just ridiculous the lack of customer service.

There was a time when Broadway looked like it was going to be the next big shopping destination:…read morehip stores were opening, followed by big-name retailers. There were even rumors of high-end luxury corporations like Chanel, LVMH, and Kering eyeing property. But then L.A. descended into madness -- first the homeless swept over Downtown's streets like a zombie horde, then two years of pandemic kabuki finished off any remaining remnants of the Downtown revival. Theory, COS, and Gap shuttered, while planned stores by Kiehl's and Incase soon found themselves canceled. A.P.C., Acne Studios, and Paul Smith have finally closed, and the clock is likely ticking on Aēsop, Mykita, and Gentle Monster. Into this bleak retail landscape, Adidas has actually opened a new store -- a flagship boutique for its Adidas Originals line at the corner of Broadway and Eighth. Adidas Originals is the retro-inspired streetwear line bearing the trefoil logo known from the 1970s; this is not the athletics line of performance sportswear. Well-known styles offered here include the Gazelle, Superstar, Samba, and Stan Smith. Clothing and accessories are also carried here, much of it trimmed in those unmistakable three stripes. One's reaction will likely depend on one's sportswear allegiances; I've been firmly on Team Adidas for decades, not much of a fan of their big competitor Nike (or their cross-town Dassler family rival, Puma). The store is stylish but not tacky. The sales associates are helpful but not too pushy. And there was a sale on certain styles, so I actually bought a new pair of shoes. They're going to have some sort of vault with rare, limited items only for "level four and higher" customers, whatever that means, but it's supposedly not up yet. Or at least that's what my level zero self was told. The one market segment that's still thriving in Downtown is sneakers, so it's nice to see the area get a cool new store while most everything else is bailing for the other side of La Cienega.
