I needed new progressive prescription sunglasses and I did a lot of research on where to buy them. I didn't want plastic lenses, I only wanted glass. I went to all the local places and national chains and found almost no options. I went online looking for options. I contacted several companies but could find no options to get glass until I called SportRx. They were able to sell me Costa progressive prescription sunglasses with Costa OEM glass. How they are the only place to do this, I have no idea. The service was beyond top notch. There was a small problem with the Costa factory getting my order fulfilled. SportRX stayed on top of it, and communicated with me almost constantly until the issue was resolved. Somehow, SportRx has old fashioned service that I have grown to not expect anywhere for any item. It was very much a welcome and pleasant surprise to find this company and do business with them. I will absolutely go back to SportRx for my optical needs in the future. This review is for Phillip at SportRx. I had a slight issue with my lenses not sitting completely flush in the frame around the bevel. Phillip took the time to thoroughly explain that my prescription is very strong and different in each eye, which naturally makes the lenses thicker, especially since these are safety impact-rated glasses. Phillip immediately sent me a shipping label so the glasses could be sent back and have the edges shaved down a bit. Once I received them back, I noticed they still weren't exactly what I had expected. I reached out again, and Phillip honestly explained that only so much material could be removed due to the safety-rated lenses, which was completely understandable. What really stood out was how far Phillip went to make things right. He offered to have them redone, but I respectfully declined since the outcome would likely be the same. He also suggested trying a different setup outside of the safety-rated option, but I chose to stick with these because I really like the side guards and the protection they provide. Without me even asking, Phillip applied a partial refund to my order because he genuinely wanted to make sure I was satisfied with my purchase. Throughout the entire process, he was professional, patient, courteous, and incredibly helpful. He made what could have been a frustrating experience feel easy and stress-free. I got goggles for snowboarding with prescription inserts from SportRx and had a great experience from start to finish. While I haven't worn them out on the mountain yet, I was super happy with the customer service support I got, specifically from Yulissa Olvera. When I placed the order, I hadn't realized how long the prescription inserts would take to finish making and thus was worried about not receiving my goggles on time. Yulissa made note of this and not only did she anwer all my questions, she worked some magic that got me the goggles a week before my trip!! This was super important to me as I needed the goggles in order to buy a helmet (better to try helmets on that fit properly with the goggles!). Thanks again, Yulissa!! My husband came here with me. It's open on saturdays! They carry glasses, sunglasses and snowboard goggles for sport oriented people. Perhaps great for hiking, rock climbing, vacations, boating, sea doo, 4-wheeling etc. They have a big selection of brands like smith, electric, zeal optics, smith, costa, Oakley, Ray ban and more! Husband came to get his construction goggles with prescription lens. They do not do eye exams here, so bring your lens prescription from your optometrist then come buy cool frames and lens. I believe we brought in our own construction goggles (he works as low voltage contractor) and they will make and insert lens for you. As a returning customer I got 1st class treatment. Easy enough as I just placed an order for same type of sun glasses with new prescription. My needs for outdoor eye protection etc haven't change since making 1st order in 2022 and several others in-between. Started chat with staff, attached pdf with new script and on my way. From order to delivery CA to TX only 10 days. Very good. BTW: only getting new glasses as vision change warranted it. I want to be clear that the issue with the delay has nothing to do with the company but due to the Oakley lab encountering challenges building and assembling the lenses/shield. I bought a pair of prescription sunglasses from SportRx several years ago. That was a great experience in helping my select the pair after talking to them. I now am about to undergo cataract surgery and needed to change them to non-prescription lenses. The process was easy. I got to speak to an optometrist, had a mailing label emailed to me. Well I made a mess of what i wanted. When i received my order I had to do a double take of my receipt. Yup it was what i received. I didnt know how I could have screwed up a simple order. I saw the address that was a short road trip from my house so packed up the bags and headed to Gilroy. I ordered a pair of lenses to SportRx for my Rayban Meta. After they shipped, it got stuck with USPS for a couple of weeks. So far, they are as good a set of lens as I've ever had. The transition part is exactly what I wanted. The RC correction appears to be spot on. One of the things I've had issues with is slight distortion from the large lens with curvature, so far I have seem none. Fantastic Experience! My husband wanted a pair of aviator sunglasses and we purchased the Randolph Aviators. While he didn't require a prescription, he felt it helped to sharpen things a little.
