It's been a while since my last review & I'm warming up for my 2024 hundred hops run, so, local happy hour seems like good practice. What's changed since my last recmview is the rooftop area, which I didn't use today (-17 out) & I hope wasn't actually open! The rooftop seating is great, tho it does get rather busy. I should note this still isn't the place to come for a solid craft cocktail- rather, exactly as is implied, it's a decent place for a game & average brews. Neither are really my calling, so, I don't see myself becoming a regular- tho I will come in periodically for a visit to the 1 of 2 rooftops here. read more

Went here on a Saturday, live DJ night. The 2 for 1 drink special was nice. $5.50 for two vodka soda waters. Not bad. The drinks were strong. They have a few tv's throughout. However, only a few of them are large screen. The DJ was good this night. Might try it again when their rooftop is open during warmer weather. read more

The rooftop patio and bar is my new favorite place in town! Great way to spend a summer night. Lots of high top tables with umbrellas, comfy chairs and couches around fire tables, and lawn games. Not to mention the great views! We will definitely be back! Nice work, guys! read more

I've been here several times. Pretty regular for the type of area. Cards, wheel, college etc. Sexurity is usually point but polite. Long haired bartender kind of a dick though. Staff talks a lot about their personal.problems. Not that friendly. Lots of screens. Sports bar style. Games to play and usually a good place for college kids when ita busy. read more

I drove into town today for work and needed a place to watch the football game. I figured with the name sports on tap that id be able to watch football. I was right, lots of TVs with multiple games on. There weren't a lot of tables, but there were spots open at the bar. I found a spot in front of the game. Service was good, I was helped right away. There were drink and food specials for football Sunday. They had a good selection of tap beers. I ordered wings, honey garlic. They were tasty, a little spicy, but I had ranch dip with them. This wasn't anything special but it did the trick for watching the game. Everyone seemed to know each other but it didn't bother me. And my team won! Skol! read more

The bartenders over serve to the point where people are unable to walk. They need to work on cutting people off. There are also a good amount of fights that happen here. Other than that it's more of a club than a bar. They usually have a good DJ, and a nice rooftop area. read more

First of all the security at the door needs to learn how to properly pat search someone before they get the bar and themselves into a lawsuit. I actually couldn't believe my eyes when we ran up in here. A haven for gambling, grogging and girls! DaMN, MINOT GIRLS! WAOH! Had 20 minutes to run up from the Amtrak station before our train left us in this Holy Town. Up the hill towards the somewhat downtown area, looking for a neon glint in the distance, the muffled cough of smokers, a beer truck, ANYTHING that might lead us in the direction of a bar, a place that we can solidify BEING IN MINOT! Well, we found it, after wading through the gamut of table games and tall blondes, a selection of different blondes fills my sober eyes. It's so sad... this bar use to be the life of the party... 6 years ago. Well now it's just ghetto as heck and the drinks are poorly made. Don't even get me started on the music... The girls are nice!! Also be expected (if you're a guy) to have to pay and be searched.. which makes zero sense because girls can also bring stuff in. Let's use some common sense people. My experience here was very disappointing. I come to this place every year to watch the NBA championship, so today it was on the rooftop. I remind you it is a sports bar. The rooftop only has 3 TVs, by the way, the first floor is close. I took the available seat that was there which was in the position of the middle seat, so the middle screen has college softball and the other two screens has NBA. I look around to see if anyone is watching softball which I did not see so I ask could they could change the channel. The answer I got was that some people were watching it. Then I find out the people that were watching were to the left and front of me and left of the middle TV from my view they were in front of the left TV. I ask could they switch the college softball from the middle TV to the left TV and the answer was no. The people that were seated at that table were not watching the college softball game, they were drinking, eating, and having a conversation among themselves. Also, I found out that there was a manager at that table that was drinking and giving instructions to employees which is unprofessional. Observing that same table that the manager was seating at. Everyone, there was drinking alcoholic beverages did not have a red wristband to say they had been verified to be over 21 years of age. I do not recommend no one to come to this sports bar to watch sports. read more

The rooftop is by far the best atmosphere in town. Great during the day and even better when the fireplaces are lit!

It would be an alright bar, except the wait staff clears full glasses of alcohol and three quarter pitchers of beer from the table without asking. If you didn't buy the drink it's no problem but it gets really annoying when it's the drinks you just bought. They lost my business. I would rather do a karaoke bar, at least they don't clear full drinks. read more

Horrible Bar. I say that because I am not a young Minot State College Student or a younger regular. I went to Sports On Tap and it's FAR from being a Sport's Bar, Sports On Tap is a meat market for younger kids to meet hook up for a quick F!@k. I went there on a saturday night to watch a football game and I was the only one in the bar watching sports. Plus I sat at my table for 2 hours before a server apporched me to see if I needed another drink. But yet the table next to me had a group of young girls and the servers went to there table about every 20 minutes. Thats because I could tell the server and the group of girls were friends. So I had to get up and flag a bartender down each time I wanted a drink. STAY AWAY!!!! read more
