Going to type this while It is fresh. I figured I would go to the this range for an hour of shooting. I have been here at least a few times, the last time was earlier this year. This time was way different. Upon approaching the desk and announcing that I wanted to use the range. I was asked if I had a black card. Not sure what that is for. They checked if I was in their database because I said that I had been there before. I am not sure how I feel about being in anyone's database. Signing a range safety brief and waiver for a range is a normal thing but the video they have you watch is tailored to newer shooters. They list only three safety rules when everyone knows there are four standard range safety rules (four for the last 30 years of using ranges). The video repeats itself many times, like I said it is for newbies. Then it came time to fill out the waiver. The standard range language was in there. Then a section on COVID as if that is any concern at the range. I suppose a waiver like this should be used at every restaurant as well. Filling out my information at the end of the waiver I stopped to ask if they needed my email. I was told it was to send the waiver to me. I asked why they needed my address. All these data points are marked as required. I stopped and left because no gun range needs to collect my personal information and add it to a database. Buyer beware this place has a new policy of collecting your information and admittedly entering that information in a database. Their explanation is that lawyers make them do it. I say that you should go anywhere else that does not require your address and put you in a database. In an age of illegal immigrants that nobody has addresses for this is a warning sign. read more

This was my first time shooting a weapon and ever going to a shooting range. I'm not quite sure what the standards are but service was so so, considering they were quite busy for a rainy day. I thought it was kinda expensive for two people for shooting, $13/person for two hours, $6 for gun rental, $1 for paper target, $13 for box of bullets. Total = $46 for less then an hour of fun. I guess its alot cheaper then skydiving or bungee jumping. I must say I had a fantastic time shooting. I'm so ready for zombies. =] Oh, they do have a paintball field and supplies for sell too.. read more

Their older sister came along this time and it was her first time shooting. Not to happy with one thing in particular and I'll get to that, first, the service at the front dest staff was great. Good attitude and very professional. when it was our turn they sent us on our way to an indoor lane and once we got there we set up the targets and started having fun, about 15 min later we get approached by the RSO stating we have 2 min left of our hour, I thought man I know were having fun but I know one hour didn't go that fast so I look at clock and shown we've been there for 15-20 min so I tell him and starts telling us we HAVE to check in with him before we start shooting. I then ask if that's a rule bc I've been here multiple time and never had to do that . He keeps insisting that I had to, anyway I show him the receipt that shows we still have more than 30 min left and he walks away finally. but he ends up leaving and bringing in a tactical belt with a gun holstered in it flagging multiple people on the line and then proceeds to talk with his friend I'm guessing a few lanes over from us. If you ask me that's not what an RSO is supposed to be doing. I brought it up to the staff up front bc in my opinion that is very unprofessional from that kid in the back read more

Great staff and facility. Not sure what some of the others comments are complaining about being sexist or anything like that but the staff as I observed were extremely helpful with every guest to include women and an older couple. It's a bit pricey here, but it's the only indoor range close by so they can make whatever prices they want. I had a great visit and will definitely come back and bring friends here as well to get in some practice and fun. read more

I took a concealed carry course here and it was extremely well done. The guys teaching it were very knowledgable and enthusiastic about the material they were teaching. The class was very useful and made me realize how much I didn't know about carrying and firearm safety. I seriously can't say enough good things about this course. Not only that, they offer the class every single Saturday even if there is only one person who shows up, so there's no annoying planning process or disappointments when you set aside a day and then get told you can't I've been to other shooting ranges and gun shops where the staff are aggro and take their jobs way too seriously (PKAT Arms in Newport for example - awful) but this place was the polar opposite. Everyone was helpful and polite. The indoor pistol range was well regulated and had everything necessary. Bottom line: this place rocks. read more

Nice indoor range. 8-25 yards. They have an outdoor archery/shotgun range, too, although we didn't use it. Archery and shotgun are on different days, so I'd call ahead if you want to use one of those. Huge selection of guns to rent from $10-$25. Must use their ammo with rentals, and it wasn't overpriced. Very friendly staff. They allow minors to shoot with a guardian. (Not sure of the age limit, but 13 was okay.) Nice feature - you can exchange your rental for another without paying an additional fee. You just pay the highest rental fee. In other words, you can shoot multiple guns for one rental fee. read more

We needed an indoor range to shoot due to the weather and this was the closest one. 2/2/15 we went and had a wonderful time! The staff are professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. We rented 2 lanes and enjoyed every minute! This was my first time shooting at an indoor range and Sportsman's Lodge exceeded my expectations. There are no RSO's on the range when you go to shoot. Very unsafe because no one is watching the line to make sure everyone is being safe. Because there is no supervision most shooters just blast away and are very inconsiderate of other shooters. I watched a man bring his young daughter in to shoot and when the the Marines in the next lane started "mag dumping" he asked if they could hold off until he finished showing his daughter how to shoot (as in it was her first time shooting) they laughed and mag dumped anyway. If there had been an RSO on the line her experience would have been much different. As I'm sure they turned off a new shooter to our sport with their immature conduct. read more

My wife and I love this place. When she shoots alone she doesn't have any problems getting service or a shooting lane. The first time she went alone they offered to show her how to use a pistol she rented and was unfamiliar with. Was looking for a holster for a pistols Ive ordered but haven't got yet and they took the same gun out and made sure it fit the holster like I wanted. The Service is above and beyond.I also took the Monday&Tuesday CCH class and it was an excellent class that was very organized. read more

Brought my own guns and ammo to shoot but you can rent their weapons only stipulation is you have to shoot their ammo which only makes sense. 10/10 would recommend to a friend. read more

Great place to shoot. Clean facility. Staff was pleasant and seems to know their stuff. Prices are very reasonable. If you buy the ammo there it is cheaper to go on the range. I took the conceal class which was perfect. Educational enough comfortable classrooms, entertaining to get you through the class which was nice too. Great food was available during the break from Forkful which was a surprise. I go here for all my shooting needs. Nice paintball facility too! Neat town for paintball. I have passed Sportsman's lodge 1000 times since living here, but have never stopped in until today. I had been looking at .380's in the big box stores around town and decided to see what Sportsman's had in comparison. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and although I didn't have any "tough" questions, overhearing conversations with other customers, they were unbelievably knowledgeable. The inventory was much better than I was expecting as well. I wound up purchasing a gun for the exact same price as a box store had and felt much better about my purchase. I recently had new sights placed on my pistol at a different shop and they came loose while I was shooting at Sportsman's Lodge. The staff at Sportsman's fixed my sights for free, even though they weren't at fault for the issue. Great customer service and they're always friendly and helpful. read more

Called ahead to this place about coming in to shoot and rent some guns to get out. We get here the next day and are told we cannot shoot because all of a sudden it's competition time. They did not tell us this over the phone the day before and drove over an hour to come here. Guy at the counter just said "sorry". Unprofessional will never come here again. read more

This review is on their paintball field, and in no way reflects the gun range portion. Its hard to tell the line where one field ends and the next begins, this isn't really a problem, it just makes it hard to tell how many different fields they have. There's about three distinct areas (four if you count the tiny course that they use for private parties, but I've only seen it used by private parties. The first field is an excellent urban town. a few run down cars, and some multi leveled buildings. The second field is littered with cover, but the real feature is the three ridge like hills. These make for some unique play. The third portion is heavy woods, with a few buildings in it. I spent the least time here so I have little to say about it. The two times I've been here safety seemed to be lacking at times. After the games were over I noticed people taking off their masks right away, while others still fired shots into the woods random objects. The refs could do a better job inforcing the stores policys, but they seemed afraid to really step in and say anything. (at least some of the younger ones, there are always exceptions to the rules. On a final note, their website could use an update. The ability to see prices and upcoming events would be nothing but beneficial to them and their customers. read more

well what can I say....nice place to shoot gotta get there early lanes fill up quick i had to wait for a lane, i can say the lanes are close so if you have rambo next to you it can be annoying. if its busy dont expect to get full attention (duh) these guys stay busy and being in a military dominant town its always busy. but its better than nothing read more
