Very cool biker bar that stays relevant in the off season as a very cool snow mobile bar. Cool vibes at Sporty's. We just stopped by quick after snowmobiling through the trails. I would give it zero stars if I could. Acts like they are doing you a favor, annoyed if they have to serve you food or make you a drink. Food was absolutely horrible. MAGA WORLD TO THE MAX. Toothless, rude, trump lovers. Offensive Maga memorabilia all over. A total turn off, not nice people and they couldn't care less about losing business. If I was a minority I would avoid this bar at all costs, I wouldn't feel safe. I'm NOT a minority and I did NOT feel safe patronizing this bar. read more

This place was recommended online for their grilled cheese sandwiches & burgers, which definitely tasted pretty good after coming down from a midmorning hike up Moxham Mountain. The beer was cold, the service was friendly & the motorcycle display is definitely impressive. The problem is that it's also kind of MAGA Central, which can be fine if a life-size cutout of DJT wearing a "F*ck Your Feelings" is as far as you take it. But we didn't discover until we'd paid up & were ready to leave that the urinals were stocked with figurines of the Bidens, the Obamas, VP Harris & Andrew Cuomo for customers to empty their bladders on. There are plenty of ways to interpret this kind of pre-adolescent version of a political statement, but the way I took it was simply rude. I respect others' political beliefs as long as those beliefs don't create situations where my own are being disrespected. In summary, I'll give anybody exactly one chance to prove they're a jerk, and this place used theirs up. read more

Weve been many times, we had lunch and drinks here yesterday. Great place, very friendly Republican establishment. Food was very good, huge selection of beers. They have cabins to rent during the summer months, huge fire pit and great motorcycle memorabilia throughout the place. Always a good time going here!! We recommend. read more

Wow, Grilled cheese burger cooked to perfection! Again wow. Then there is Turkey club. Huge and tasty. If you're not in Minerva it's a perfect place to travel too and now have an amazing dining experience. read more

Best French Fries anywhere. Yes, I know this is not a "Master Chef' level of scrutiny, but it's what I care about. I judge a place by its french fries - if you can't get that simple item right, you're not even trying. Yes I've had other food there (kielbasa special for one), and yes it was good, but I still go by the fries. If I see Gordon Ramsey there, I'll buy him a risotto Alsatienne.... until then: french fries. read more

Prices might seem on the high end but you will not leave hungry. It was pretty good food and as I said you get a lot. It's a 3.5 to 4.

My first visit to Sporty's I had scotch and a pick up by a man with few teeth. I have tried twice in a week to go to the only place in Minerva where food is available. The first time they were not willing to cook. It was too "freakin'" hot I was told. The second time we went in for lunch, and though they had opened 18 minutes earlier, the same character told us (a party of 8), he wasn't ready to cook. So, even though their website declares them an eatery, brags about their kitchen and displays a menu, they clearly have to be in the right mood. Wow, big mistake writing a good review @ beginning of summer. Went back sat night before closing our camp for summer. Drove 30 min, after good first impression. My girlfriend unfortunately forgot her id, she's 40. I know it's the law. as we walked in owner was tending bar. He appeared to be heavily under the influence. He demanded id's. However, owner started screaming and cursing we were not welcome to stay. Not even given the opportunity for a soda or to see if kitchen was open. Down right refused service. Told us if we didn't like it we could get the bleep out and not come back. While high fiving locals @ bar. Hugely disappointed. Will not waste another trip. After reading all the good reviews, made a trip there. The bar was busy, quite a few bikers. The only problem, no food. The bartender stated that the cook was out sick. Not good on a weekend with no food when drinking. Everyone eventually left. May try again. read more

good morning fellow yelpers........if any of you get up to N.Y. state you have to stop here at Sporty's Iron Duke Saloon....A bunch of us stopped here a couple of times last week after a great day of skiing at Gore Mountain and we all glad we did.....the place is a bar and museum combined....the American Pickers would go wild in here.....he has everything from old Harleys on display along with a old gas pump, buffalo head,oil cans, beer cans antiques and more !....the food is great there...not a big menu but perfect....beers were cold with a good selection and even had my PBR's......the turkey sandwich had to be 8inchs tall....couldn't finish it.....overall its clean, friendly patrons and Sporty himself made us feel real welcome read more

Sporty is a good guy! Hands down, one of the coolest biker bars on the planet.. although I have to mention that it's much cleaner and tidy than most places I'd typically describe as a "biker bar" or "dive bar" for that matter. There's a line of old scoots as decor and the walls and shelves are covered with old bike parts.. tons of stuff to stare at & talk about, flags and bar mirrors on the ceiling..ample seating on and off the bar, a pool table and juke box.. burgers are off the hook, drinks are drinks and the ride there (especially from chicago) is ril nice.. This place is fantastic! We stopped off here after going to the Natural Caves and Stone Bridge. They have a nice patio in the back with picnic tables and you can even play horseshoes. Inside, there's several gorgeous Harley's on display. Great, friendly workers. Will definitely come again if I'm ever in the area. read more

Visited Sporty's several times during our summer vacation in Minerva. Great service, food and fun! The guys played horseshoes while us ladies relaxed and enjoyed the atmosphere Sporty was very helpful by supplying us with motorcycle maps and suggesting great places to visit on our Adirondack tour.
