First time here for my Pomeranian, Mowgli. I loved it & it seems Mowgli loved it too. He seemed less nervous & more calm compared to picking him up at other groomers. Mowgli is normally anxious, especially when I'm not around but today when I picked him up he seemed like he was calm & that he felt safe being away from me. He also smelled great & looked very handsome( : Also, received a goodie bag for the visit & cant wait to have Mowgli try them out. I have been bringing our two shih tzu's to spotted paw for at least two years and were satisfied with the grooming until yesterday. I will never bring my dogs back and will spread the word to friends not to bring their dogs. I picked up Penny and noticed her tail down and could barely walk. She was sleeping in the car and never does that. When I got her home she was lethargic, shaking and sleeping the entire time. She was clearly drugged. I called and they claimed they didnt drug the dog. I am sorry they didnt fess up that they did this. read more

It saddens me to write this but we had been taking our Golden Doodle in there for quite some time. We appreciate the small business setup and their new building. However, we were really disappointed with the outcome of our cut the past several times. The last attempt we did they cut her hair when we specifically asked them not to (we liked her hair long) and they argued with me that they didn't cut it. When checking more into it, they realized they did and their only solution was, well...."guess you won't have to come back for longer now". No real heart felt apology or anything. Just an "Oh well" type of response. Let's just say, she looked hideous and we had to pay normal price for the hideous look. Even our dog looked like she was embarrassed with the cut. I really like working with the owners and appreciate their attitudes, but I didn't appreciate how they handled this instance. I was half expecting them to reach out later after they thought about it more...but that never happened. Sorry, they lost our business... Update: I appreciate your response to the review. Yes - we paid for what we came in for bath and nails. We wish you the best of luck with your business. I'm sure you are constantly learning. We took our dog Barney to Spotted Paw today to get groomed for the first time and they did an amazing job! We were so disappointed with the lack of attention to detail we encountered getting him groomed at Petsmart (he often looked like he had barely been touched) so we were searching for a new place and gave Spotted Paw a shot. Barney looked incredible and he will definitely be a regular there now! We are very impressed with how great he looked and highly recommend the shop!! read more

Top of the line grooming ..My poodle comes back looking like a billion dollars..The groomer is very talented,the shop is clean,and you dont have to leave your dog there all day either.There are alot of groomers BUT the woman who grooms my dog here is TOP NOTCH..I have owned poodles my entire life and have yet to find a more precision cut for the money..anybody that says their dog was handled "ruff" here i would take with a grain of salt.The owners show dogs and have a handful of their own..I have yet to find real dog lovers who would even consider rough treatment ..I HIGHLY recommend these groomers. read more

Took our two terriers here. One has been afraid of water since she was a puppy (rescue dog). We thought she would never be clean but they worked a miracle and bathed and trimmed her. We have had them here two times and were very happy. read more

I was not happy with my experience. First, I was quoted one price on the phone when I booked the appointment and then charged another when I got there. Secondly,I was not going to be able to pick up my dog so I told them that my girlfriend would do so. Apparently my dog was not doing well but I did not get a call from them. They called my girlfriend and she had to call me. I then called to inquire about the problem and they were very nonchalant about it and said he was fine. Finally, he was only suppose to be there a max of 4 hours but after 5 hours and no call she went to get him. Somehow he wasn't done but she just told them she wanted to take him anyway. She said that he looked agitated and not doing well. So he did not get his nails done or his ears cleaned and I paid for it and was not offered a refund. Also, he did not look like he had been completely washed or brushed. His from legs and butt below his tail were still dirty. He is also still shedding like crazy so I know he was not brushed or given the anti-shedding treatment, which I also paid for. I prepaid and tipped 20%. He has been very restless and agitated since he's been home. After reading some of the other reviews on here I have the right mind to call the BBB and the ASPCA. Needless to say I will NEVER go back there and I highly recommend that you SHOULD NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL THERE AT ALL!! read more

I loved spotted paw for my dogs grooming. They asked me if I wanted her done the same as the last few times. I said yes. They keep a file of your visit. I picked my girl up and she was shaved. I was close to tears on my way home. I know she had a few knots which is normal Her nose was shaved. Her chest too and her bottom is raw. I have had good luck here and I am sad this happened. I called them when I got home. I was calm but said I was sad. They said sorry. That was it. My daughter felt they should have offered a discount the next time we go but they didn't . My dogs have been going to Spotted Paw for grooming for six years. Whether a simple bath, brush and tidy or a full groom, the results are consistently excellent. My only other experience with another groomer/groom shop was disastrous. My dogs always leave SP looking clean, fresh, and gorgeous. Cris and Yessie are phenomenal groomers...the best ever Michael, one of the owners (along with Cris) has always been honest and straightrward as well as accommodating. I will never take my pups anywhere else. read more

I e-mailed the owner Michael after the incident and he replied acting like he was concerned and would contact the groomer to figure out what happened and why I wasn't notified about my dog's cut leg. Here it is over a month later and I haven't heard back from him and I am still out not only the grooming fee but the vet fee as well. Very cute place inside but they literally shaved my dog completely when I asked for a trim. My dog is shih tzu, in which they are known for their fluffy beards and faces. They completely cut her beard making my poor dog unrecognizable as a shih tzu even. Would not recommend if you have a small fluffy dog. read more

We have been taking our two dogs to the spotted paw since they opened. They've been taking care of our oldest dog who is 12 years old (and has diabetes and blind ) she comes home she acts like a puppy tail practically wagging off! They helped us find our puppy to adopt. I know they take care of the dogs because they come home exhausted and I hear stories about how they played all day. I can't imagine a better place to take my dogs for daycare. Whenever I say it's time to go get a bath I can't keep them from trying to knock me over to get in the car! I have told all my friends and family to take their dogs to the Spotted Paw. read more

Took our two dogs to The Spotted Paw today. It's the second time I have taken them there, after several recommendations but I can't say I will go back. When I dropped them off this morning, I noted how hot it was in there and was glad to get outside again, it never occurred to me that the dogs would be neglected in that heat but they were. When I picked them up this afternoon, both dogs were crying and when we got home they both ran to their water bowls and drained them. I have never (in 9 & 5 years) seen them drink so much water in one go. The poor things were parched. They then ran outside, peed, came in and drained their bowls again. They obviously were not given access to water in the four and a half hours they were at The Spotted Paw despite the heat. Both of them have been really subdued and unhappy all afternoon. Anyone who knows my dogs, knows well that quiet, subdued and sad is not normal! So for anyone who uses The Spotted Paw, please do so with caution during the summer. read more
