    Thank you for doing a great job with Gizmo!!! Unfortunately he passed away but he will always be remembered with this pic. Great job always bring my other pups here.

    The absolute best! I've been taking my dog here for years and have always been very pleased with the results! They take great care of him and always make him look so handsome!

    DO NOT PAY AHEAD - you won't know how your service will be... And Lana does not have a care to try to save any type of relationship with her clients even long time guests such as myself. Such a shame to have been spending my money here for the past two years. I have been going to Gail's for 2 years with my dog Oliver and after today our relationship is over and I will be finding a new groomer and urge others to do the same. I should have been looking at yelp earlier because this groomerie doesn't seem to accept responsibility. Take a look at the other negative review and you'll notice that they blame the customer each and every time.... Oliver is a 15 pound shih tzu - bichon mix Summary: Terrible customer service, lack of concern for the animals taken in, honesty is not a core value of the employees (especially Lana) who are working here, average grooming - you can find somewhere better where they actually care about your pet and give a decent haircut Haircut: in the two years I've been coming here this was the worst I've seen. His face is still dirty and he still has crumbs on his eyes. The picture with brown is today and the one with the bandana is how Oliver typically looks and I have no doubt that the lack of care on his haircut is due to the below situation that unfolded. PICTURES ARE NOT BEFORE AND AFTERS. THE PICTURE WITH THE BANDANA ON CARPET AND TILE IS FROM AUGUST GROOMING AND PICTURES ON HARDWOOD ARE FROM TODAY. The groomers at Gail's obviously slack on their work when you have a later appointment as it seems they fall behind and make up for the time by providing below average service. I had an 11 am appointment and dropped my dog off at 10:45 as I have been told before that dogs are worked on in the order they arrive. By arriving just before my scheduled appointment Oliver should have been done within 3 1/2 hours (as he usually is done within 3). Around 1:30pm I called to check in and give a phone number to be contacted at as they did not confirm with me when I arrived. I asked how long it would be from then before he was ready and was advised by the young girl working the front it would be 45min - hour. I arrived at 2:40pm to pay for the service (4 hours after being dropped off) after I paid and left a tip I looked through the window and noticed that Oliver was on the grooming table and I could tell he had just been started as his face was not groomed and neither were his legs. I asked how much longer it would be and was told it would be 45min - an hour.... that's right FIVE HOURS to groom my dog. I was pretty irritated as I know the employees don't take the dogs out and they keep them in cages when they aren't being groomed. I left and went back home. My dad then called to tell me Oliver was done an hour later 3:30pm ... obviously the little girl at the front is unaware of how to follow requests as this was not the number I confirmed for them to call. I got to Gail's at 3:45 and asked to speak with Gail who was not there so I was directed to Lana and what a disappointment. Rather than apologize and accept responsibility for the unacceptable time it took to groom my dog she immediately started rambling off excuses. Apparently, "dogs have accidents and they have knots" so that is why it took 5 hours to groom my dog today. It's clear that Lana looks at these animals as dollar signs rather than members of peoples families. She did apologize... that the dogs in today had accidents and knots but did absolutely nothing to try to salvage our long time relationship. Clearly it only takes one hour to groom my dog so why he sat there for 5 hours today is beyond me. Once we got outside my dog immediately relieved himself which tells me he had been waiting to go out and needed to. Also myself and my parents (when they watch Oliver) have noticed that every time we bring Oliver home he immediately darts for his water dish. If you're going to keep someone's dog for 5 hours then give them some water... my god. The lack of respect for our furry family members is just unbelievable. I took my dog to a groomer in Chicago who had him done in an hour and a half... said he was the easiest dog she had ever groomed (Pooch Hotel West Loop - call for validation if you don't believe me... that's how serious and irritated I am about my experience today). I would take a crummier haircut and take him somewhere where the employees care about him than to Gail's where he's treated as a $52 tab. It's only a matter of time before you are let down. I saw negative reviews before and should have listened. My turn came and I received my one star service from Lana and Christian. This is the worst hair cut Oliver has ever had. His face is still dirty!

    We have been coming here for over 15 years. As far as we are concerned it's the best in the area Lana and her team turned our two dogs from scruffy looking to I feel show dogs.

    I absolutely love Gail's Groomerie. The staff is always very friendly and most importantly the Groomer, Lana always does an excellent job at grooming both my pups! There was one occasion when I had waited until the last minute to schedule an appointment only to find out they were booked and, unfortunately, I had no other choice but to take my pups to a different groomer in Naperville and I have to say, I was very disappointed due to the quality of work they did on both my pups. I will never again take them anywhere else! I now make sure to book well in advance to be certain that I get them both in for an appointment. My pups are always very well taken care of and, Lana always does an excellent job of making them look, dog show ready. See for yourselves!

    We love to bring our pup to Gails! They always have great recommendations to make him look great and are always timely and friendly. Pricing is comparable to most other groomers we looked inHighly recommend if your looking for a new groomer.

    Very very accommodative! Hands down best groomer. They cater to your requests when you have to change the appt.

We initially believed we had found an ideal groomer because this facility promotes dog interaction, similar to a puppy daycare environment. Socialization was important to us, and during our first two visits everything seemed excellent. We were able to see our dog playing and interacting with other dogs on the live cameras, and he appeared to be having a great time. However, during later visits, we noticed a significant change. Our dog appeared to be kept in a crate from the time he arrived until pickup. We raised this concern with the owner, who assured us this would not happen again. Based on that reassurance, we decided to give the business another opportunity. Unfortunately, during the following visit we experienced the same issue. Our dog was not visible on the cameras and appeared to have been crated again. When we addressed this, we were told it was due to a miscommunication among staff members. We were again reassured that the issue had been resolved and would not occur in the future. Today, after not seeing our dog on the cameras for approximately two and a half hours, my husband called the facility to check on him. The staff member who answered the phone was dismissive and did not allow my husband to fully explain the situation. We referenced our previous conversations with Chris, the owner, who had assured us this would not continue to happen. The staff member responded that Chris was not present and stated that she needed to check in all dogs before allowing ours to be cage-free. At that point, our dog had already been there for two and a half hours, which raised further concerns for us. Due to the circumstances and the manner in which the call was handled, my husband informed them that he would be coming to pick up our dog immediately, as we were not comfortable paying for services where he remained crated the entire time. When my husband arrived, our dog was simply brought out and released to him. There was no explanation, acknowledgment, or apology offered. Based on our experience, I encourage other pet owners to ask questions and ensure they fully understand how their pets will be cared for during their stay.
