We got pictures with the Easter Bunny however if you did not agree to buy the bottles with the custom labels they would not take a professional picture. I agree with some of the other reviewers that the tour itself is a bit of a snoozefest and it glosses over how the beer is actually made. However, I have been on other brewery tours that go into great detail and I will admit that a lot of the technicalities get lost on me. Cost for the tour was $7 which my friend had a Groupon for. After the tour you are taken to a beer garden and allowed 4 samples and you get to keep the tasting glass. The great thing is that they had about 6-10 beers on tap and the employees were happy to make recommendations. Everything from light summer beers to more hearty fall beers were on tap to try. You can also try their soda which are unlimited. Try the blueberry soda - its awesome. They also smart and sell a small variety of bar foods (pretzels, etc) which helped us sop up some of the beer Being from the northeast we this beer is not distributed near me but I would definately try it if I could find it in my area. read more

I didn't know what to expect from a microbrewery tour, but Sprecher certainly exceeded my expectations on all counts.. It's a lovely facility, with a staff that is obviously in love with what they do. Entry and exit is through a fair-sized shop that sells beers, sodas and gift items. For the bargain sum of $5 you receive a tour of the productions facility, from mashing to bottling. Then, in the indoor beer garden, you are invited to taste as many of their sodas as you like, and four beers. There are about ten choices of each. The pours are generous, and you even get to keep the glass. The company was started in 1984 with two beers, but the introduction of root beer a decade later hit big. We learned that their soda assortment actually outsells their beer, and that their root beer outsells all their other products combined. Our favorite soda was the orange dream, and out favorite beer was one of their originals, the Black Bavarian. We bought some of each to take home. This was a great way to spend a couple of hours, and I'm looking forward to returning. read more

My husband and I had never been here but have been drinking the soda for years. For my bday this year we decided to drive 2hrs to Milwaukee. The staff was awesome, the tour was very informative and fun. We didn't realize that we left our beer glasses from the tasting until we got back to Illinois. Oh gosh I loved this brewery tour. Not only did we get to see and learn about how they brew their beer, hard sodas and soda pop, but we got to try SO MANY samples of both alcohol and unlimited soda pop afterward with a nice commemorative glass to take home. I am not personally fond of beer so I can't speak to that aspect, however I did love the hard soda and the soda pop. So many delicious flavours! The hard orange cream, ginger beer and root beer were my favourite hard options. The soft drinks that I loved included the cream soda and the grape soda along with their best selling root beer and more besides! I'm really excited to order the soda in the future and was happy to be able to bring some of their alcohol back home with me from the trip. Their store has great options for purchase as well from clothing to plush animals, glassware and more! The root beer syrup and the root beer popcorn were among my favourite items that I purchased and brought home. I loved the customer service that the staff provided including a great shipping box to use as a checked bag when traveling home, along with advice for our gift purchases. The parking lot is a bit small but there's lots of parking in the area which is really close to residential which is nice if you happen to live nearby as well. read more

So fun! Driving through town on our way back from the upper peninsula and wanted to get a little taste of Milwaukee having never been in Wisconsin before. Took our four kids on a tour then sampled the beers and sodas while eating one of the huge pretzels (it was really huge and very tasty!) my favorite beer was the Acapulco and my youngest loved all the lemonades he tried. We drove from Chicago to check out Sprecher. It was my daughters birthday and we had plans to go to lunch and then here to try all the different types of sodas. I checked the Yelp app and it said they closed at 6. We enjoyed our lunch, went for a walk, and then headed over. Once we arrived there was a sign on the door stating they were closing at 4 today. Had I know this, we would have headed over right after lunch. Not only that, the man who rung us up was less than pleasurable. Heaven forbid you crack a smile while dealing with the public. He sounded a bit bent out of shape he wasn't able to go to the baseball game this evening because he has no sitter. My husband tried to make a joke and he wasn't having any of it. My suggestions would be 1. Post your hours to all apps and websites people may be looking at before they travel from out of town. 2. Hire someone to work the register who is friendly and enjoys working with the public. Customer service is important. He made me not want to ever return. The only reason they are getting any stars is because we did walk in a few minutes after 4 and they did let us grab some beer and soda and checked us out. read more

Tried something different to do on a Saturday afternoon. Decided to take a tour of Sprecher brewery. For $12 you get the tour, a complimentary sampling etched glass, and four beer samples. Also if you have anyone in your party that doesn't drink, all sodas are free, and all you can drink. Snacks available at minimal price. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and cordial. Great T-shirt shop, and you can buy beer and soda in the lobby. If you're in the area, it's a must stop. Plenty of free parking. read more

We did the 21+ afternoon tour and it was so fun! Our guide was informative, funny, and definitely tailored the jokes to adults. We were able to have one or two tastings (either beer or root beer) on the tour. Then we also got a wristband for 4 other alcoholic tastings in the beer garden. What we didn't realize is that it's unlimited tastings of soda; and they have so many more choices than just root beer! Great tour, really fun to do with friends or family. We took our family here for something to do on a Saturday afternoon. We took the the brewery tour. It was informative and fun. The kids loved the unlimited soda included with the tour price. They played ping pong. The adults enjoyed the beer samples. The staff was super friendly. The gift shop was great. What I liked most about the gift shop was the prices. WooHoo! Sprecher's Brewing Company is my 100th review for 2013 in the Yelp 100 Challenge! Some tips & highlights: -Unless you are there very early just park in the street. There's plenty of street parking (and NO parking meters!) but a tiny parking lot. -Make reservations for the tour you want! Their website does show the % booked for each tour & the number may seem low, but they fill up fast on site, so just make the rez & rest assured you'll be on the tour you want. -If your group is all adults, spend an additional $10 (the regular tour is just $5, so it would be $15 total per person) & do the Reserve Tasting as well. You get to take the regular tour (which is about 30 minutes) & then you go into a separate room for a tasting of 10 beers (approx. 2 oz. each) and cheeses selected to pair with each brew. The Reserve Tasting was an additional hour & fifteen minutes and it was a lot of fun! Very informative & Jason, our tasting guide, was quite laid back & funny - as anyone working at a brewery should be! -The gift shop has many of their beers & sodas bottled for purchase, individually or by the case. They also have a variety of food/condiments, glasses, shirts, hats, & thongs (uh, yeah...I didn't quite get that one, but hey, whatever floats your boat, people!). A great way to make some unique gift baskets for birthdays & holidays! -If you take the tour you get 10% off your beer & cheese purchases! (no discounts on the sodas, food, clothing or other items) -If you aren't local, bring a cooler with ice packs because: -There is a local sausage company that will be there on certain days of the month (check the brewery website for dates) & they make different special bratwurst just for Sprecher's using their Rootbeer & Beers. The brats are sold already frozen. -If you do the Reserve Tasting all the cheeses you try will be available in a small refrigerator for purchase near the checkout at the gift shop. They are all local Wisconsin cheeses so depending on where you live, you may not be able to find some of these so easily back home. We picked up a couple we knew would be harder to find elsewhere. -My last tip - it wasn't so clear on the website, but if you do the Reserve Tasting you join the regular tour starting at that time & then at the end you will go to the Reserve Tasting. The website simply indicated you could join a tour beforehand so we thought that meant showing up for the earlier tour. Sprecher is a cool spot. It's near the city but not in the city which is a bit sad but nonetheless a cool place to visit. They have some decent beers but nothing to write home to mom about. The service was solid. This is what I would consider to be the most kid friendly of all the beer tours we have in Wisconsin. They really cater to the kids with all the sodas and stuff they have. A really great brewery that serves both alcoholic beer and non-alcoholic root beer . Perfect for a non-alcoholic drinker like myself! All the drinks here are CHEAP! $1.60 for an alcoholic beer. $0.82 for a root beer! And not just any root beer but GOURMET root beer that have no caffeine and are gluten free. I did my own taste test and this is what I've found: Original Root beer (voted #1 root beer by NY times)--Delicious!!! Cream Soda--a nice vanilla and honey taste, not overly sweet--Perfect! Puma Kola--tastes like coca cola! yummie! Ravin Red--hmm tastes like medicine. not my fav Orange Dream--tastes like orange soda Cherry Cola--tastes better than ravin red but reminds me of medicine. not a cherry flavor fan Sprecher also does tours of the brewery and tasting of the beer/root beer. 2 words: RESERVE TASTING. This special tasting is only offered on weekends, and tasting times vary by demand-- but if you get a chance to partake, I would absolutely jump on the opportunity. The first part of the Reserve Tasting starts off with joining the normal tour to see the brewery. Afterwards, most people will be taken to the bar area where they get 4 beer samples and unlimited Sprecher Soda-- making the tour both adult and kid-friendly! Be sure to taste the sodas too. Sprecher Root Beer is BOMB. However, if you do a Reserve Tasting, you will be escorted into a private room complete with bar tables, place settings, and the day's tasting menu. Each guest receives an etched tasting glass to keep, and 10 samples of Sprecher beers, each paired with a different artisan cheese. A "Beer Sommelier" will introduce the beers and walk you through the tastings. I'd imagine that the beer/cheese combinations change seasonally, but we had: Hefe Weiss -- Maple Leaf White Cheddar Summer Czech Style Pils -- Vern's 10 Year Chedder Chameleon Ryediculous IPA -- Monterey Jack with Morel & Leeks Abbey Triple -- Black River Gorgonzola IPA2 -- Grand Cru Gruyere Pipers Scotch Ale -- Country Castle Smoked Baby Swiss Belgian Dubbel -- Sartori SarVecchio Aged Reserve Parmesan Irish Stout -- Springside Cheese Kreik Lambic -- Benedictine Czar Brew -- Cahill's Whiskey Cheese PLUS we got a BONUS pairing of their Witty Belgian Wheat with a LEMON COOKIE! BOOM! And get this... the Reserve Tasting is only $15. I was VERY surprised by the quality of all their brews. For a small brewery, I thought most of their beers would be flops, but I'll glady admit I was wrong. Each taste was an excellent representation of that particular beer style. From the Hefe Weiss which was slightly cloudy and hopped, but pleasantly light and citrusy... to the Czar Brew, a Bourbon Barrel Imperial Stout, which gave Goose Island's Bourbon County Stout a good run for their money! The cheeses were also excellent. I mean, let's get real... we ARE in Wisconsin! It was so interesting and fun to discover how the beer and cheese flavors and textures played off each other to compliment and magnify the individual parts. LOVED THIS BREWERY. This was my first time ever checking out a brewery and my friends and I decided to go to this one since it offered not only beer, but ROOT BEER. We placed our tickets online that morning for a 3 PM touring on a random Saturday. It is $5/person and you get to keep your glass after you're done and you get to sample 4 beers and unlimited soda! We arrived about 15 minutes before and get to enjoy a glass of beer/root beer of our choice while we waited for the tour to begin. Since it was a Saturday, the assembly line of the brewery was shut down so we didn't get to see the entire place in action. The tour itself was about 15 minutes and the tour guide just gave a short history of the brewery and whatnot. The best part came after the tour, when we got sample all the beer. The glass is small but after 3 beers, all our bellies were pretty full. It was a great experience to enjoy their beer while socializing with my friends. We all had a great time. This is a pretty family friendly environment, too, since they serve soda so you can bring your kids to get sugar wasted while you get...wasted! read more

I really love Sprecher root beer and cream soda, though sometimes it seems hard to find in Chicago outside of restaurants. I was checking their website and found they had specialty flavors in addition to the traditional ones so, on an otherwise boring Sunday morning, decided to drive up here for a tour to taste the flavors and stock up. The tour is very quick - maybe a half hour - but it's also cheap at $5 per person. The real value lies in the end of the tour when you get to try what's on tap. Honestly, I wish they'd just let you pay the $5 and skip the tour. In the tasting room you get a souvenir tasting glass (I think it's 4 oz). The bracelet you get when you check in for the tour gives you four beer tastes - and I think 4 oz is a generous "taste". However, you get unlimited tastes of the pop that's on tap. I don't drink beer, really, so this was great for me. I tried all the pops on tap, including the grape just to taste it (I'm not a fan of grape soda). I even tasted the hard root beer, which didn't count as one of my bracelet beer tabs, either. The one bummer was that none of their seasonal drinks (beer or pop) are on tap, so those couldn't be tasted. The only beer I wanted to try was seasonal, but oh well. Since the bottles of pop were only 90 cents each or so, I just bought a bottle when I left the tasting room so I could try the raspberry red and strawberry flavors. It wasn't a huge deal, but may have been nice to know before I went in since those were the two pops I wanted to try and the main reason I did the tour. I wish it wasn't such a drive to stock up, but I'll head back soon to do so. There's ample parking in the lot and on the street. Sprecher sells more root beer than any of their other drinks combined, I think, so they do make a good soda. My favorites are the cream soda and orange dream, but all the others were pretty tasty too and I picked up an assortment of all of them (their orange dream tastes like a liquid creamsicle). We also ended up with a couple packs of their scotch ale, which has an amazing smoky taste to it. All told, not a bad place to stop for an inexpensive, off-the-beaten-path activity. read more

There are a couple different tours to choose from, we did the brewery tour on a Saturday afternoon. The tour cost $13 for the three of us (two adults and a five yr old). The tour includes a bracelet redeemable for 3 drinks after the brewery tour ends, in their beer garden behind the gift shop. Prior to the tour you also get a free drink. For those of you with children, this tour is great for them as they can sample the soda at the end. The tour is brief, about twenty minutes, but informative and not long-winded. Some brewery tour guides go on and on about stuff even beer drinkers don't care about. Sprecher spares you from that. The only thing we didn't see and wanted to was the assembly line in progress. As it was a Saturday, we didn't expect to see this though. The beer garden at the end has all of the Sprecher bottled brews as well as several only found at the brewery itself. I sampled three crafts that aren't available in bottle and enjoyed each. Sorry, I don't remember the names. The beer garden also has a few food items for purchase including pretzels and maybe cheese. When you leave, you keep the sample glass..which is a nice touch. Sprecher has some nice crafts being that they only produce a dozen or so. The folks there are nice and accommodating. When we were leaving I asked someone in the gift shop if I could get some bottle caps, as I like to save one of each beer I try. They brought out a large basket of unbent caps for me to choose from, free of charge. Sprecher is family friendly, beer-connoisseur friendly and fun for just about anyone who likes beer or soda. The tour is ok. I have been on it twice and one of the tour guides was more informational than the other. It's $5 for a nice tasting glass and four 8-ounce beer samples. They also have plenty of soda options to choose from beyond their flagship root beer. I tried their hard root beer (6% ABV) and raspberry soda. They also offer $10 growlers with their logo with $8 refills. My friend and I purchased these on both occasions we were here because they are great for home brewing. All varieties of beer are the same price. That specialty beer you would buy in a bomber (22-ounce bottle) for $6-7 in the store? Yup, you get 64-ounces for $8. Good deal! Don't forget to make reservations. Didn't do this our first time so they were barely able to squeeze us in. They get quite a few visitors from outside Milwaukee so popular tour times (like holidays) fill up early. read more

I was really looking forward to the Sprecher Brewery tour and beer tasting. However, when I went last weekend, I have to admit that I was disappointed. Let's start with the positive -- The tour guide was great! He was super enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the history of Sprecher as well as it's beer and soda. The rooms inside the brewery were also pretty cool (especially the bottling/packaging lines). For such a small brewery, it was neat to learn about how many beers they can bottle and label in such a short period of time. As part of the $8 tour, you get to sample four beers. I was super excited about this upon walking in. However, I did not love the beer. Between my friend and I, we tried 6 different beers and didn't love any of them. We ended up giving our wrist bands to some other people at a table nearby in hopes that they could enjoy our last free beers. In addition, it is very dark inside and there are mostly tables set up for parties of 8. It did not appear that these plastic tables, nor the wooden ones (for 2 tops) were cleared off very often. The entire time my friend and I drank our beers, there was someone else's dirty cups/napkins on the table with us. I have to say that I would not come back or recommend this brewery to other adults. However, if you have kids, this could be a cool place to take them since they can try all the Sprecher sodas too! read more

I visited Sprecher during the holidays and came away very impressed -- though I am still not a huge fan of their brew. Touring the brewery begins with calling ahead to make a reservation. There is a small parking lot to the west of the building or you can park on the street. The Sprecher gift shop greets you upon entry; load up on gear or beer if you so desire. There is an entire room next to the main gift shop that features Sprecher soda -- yum yum yum SUGAR RUSH! The waiting area - one more room from the main entrance - can be a bit cramped when they pack the entire group into such a small space. Be prepared if you're not a fan of big crowds or tight spaces. Arrive early to check in, snag your bracelet (with drink tickets already attached), and immerse yourself in the historical aspects of the brewery. I was particularly enthralled by a letter from the Board of Alcohol (can't quite remember the name) in the State of California which was sent to the founder of Sprecher. Pretty cool. The tour is definitely more family friendly than, say, Lakefront Brewery. The guide was young and tried to keep the crowd laughing at his puns and plays on words. He was really great at answering questions, especially from the kids who were there to steal my soda! The guide ultimately did a good job of explaining their brewing process and pointing a few things out here and there -- I won't spoil those for you; just go already! There is one tasting station stop near the end of the tour where you can sample one of a few options -- and of course, root beer for the kids or no-beer drinkers. After the tour, you can head back into the serving area to redeem the rest of your tickets. This process was well organized and quick. I sampled the Special Amber and several of the Sprecher offshoot brews (Chameleon) including Fire Light, Hop on Top, and Ryediculous IPA -- highly recommend the last one; absolutely knocked my socks off! There are plenty of tables at which to sit, and there is not a rush to send you on your way either -- just be sure to tip the bartenders; they do a great job at getting such a big line through quickly and with plenty of smiles & recommendations. Of course, I cannot forget the unlimited soda -- always a draw. I am a big fan of the new-ish Blueberry soda, and you can never go wrong with Cherry Cola. We picked up two 4-packs (select your own combination) -- one for us, the other for friends in Minnesota! read more

I've been to Sprecher Brewery a couple times. The most recent was for my sister's bachelorette party. They were very accommodating for a larger group (12 girls). It is best to make a reservation as tours do fill up very quickly, especially on the weekend. Our tour guide was quirky and gave a lot of information without talking about any one point too long. The beer and soda tasting is definitely the highlight of the tour; the new hard root beer is amazing!! I will be stopping by to purchase some of in the very near future. They also let you keep your tasting glass :) For $5, this tour is great for out-of-town guests, parties, or just for something fun to do! read more

The Sprecher tour is the only brewery tour that I have attended that is also a soda company. This makes this the most family friendly tour and also the most intersting for kids who attend. Kids will listen to someone tell you about the science behind brewing if they get some sugar at the end of the tour. The tour is fun and gives you some of the education about beer and soda production that you might miss at the Miller tour. The sodas made at Sprecher are made with honey as the sweetener which gives a distinctive taste and all of the sodas I had tried were delicious. The tour includes 4 beer samples to choose out of a huge selection. This tour had by far the largest selection of beers, and unlimited soda samples were also available. The sampling area is decorated as a festive beer hall in the middle of their factory. The tour is full of some fun bits of information about the company. Such as all of their beverages come in 16 ounce bottles because they, "love you 4 ounces more than other beer companies." In actuality the company bought its bottling equipment second hand and the machine will only make 16 ounce bottles. TLDR: Great tour, great beer selection and delicious sodas to sample. Sprecher, you were definitely worth the 2 hour drive, the 3 missed exits, and the long, long detour. The breakdown: Factory tour - $5 for 21+, which includes 4 beer tastings and unlimited soda tastings. The tour was EXTREMELY SHORT, but given the size of Sprecher, I guess that was expected. Our tour guide had some great information to present, but he seemed really young and inexperience....and super nervous. However, I did appreciate the fact that we got to walk around in the production area where they actually brew and bottle their beers. Many breweries keep a glass window between visitors and the brewing vats/production lines, and I thought that Sprecher's approach made the entire experience more personal and enjoyable. Tasting "garden" - Best part of Sprecher! They have a huge selection of their beers - both seasonal and year-round - as well as their sodas on tap. I tried the Hefe Weiss, Redhead ale, Irish Stout, and Special Amber...and I also had a sip of the Brown Ale before my friend stole it and gave me his Special Amber instead. :( The two that really stood out to me were the Hefe Weiss and the Irish stout. I LOVED the Irish Stout. Believe it when they say that you have to be a real coffee drinker to appreciate how dark that beer is...and what do you know, I'm a HUGE coffee drinker. :) The Hefe Weiss was also delicious because it was infused with strawberries and tasted like a nutty strawberry lemonade. YUMM. The sodas were a little flat coming out of the tap, but the flavors were still great and, overall, very original. They didn't have ALL the sodas on tap, which was a bummer because I really wanted to try the strawberry, but they did have a big enough selection so you don't feel cheated. All-in-all, the Sprecher Brewery tour was a job well done! Bravo, Sprecher! Next time my friends are in town, I am definitely bringing them here! You know I agree with Emily B. The tour was a snoozefest! Everytime I come to Wisconsin I try to do a different brewery tour and I found out that this place was like ten minutes away from my mom's house.Plus the tour was 5 dollars each that included four beers and a free glass. We also found out there that military members are free. So I figured why not? Literally 20 minutes after my husband got off the plane my mom and I took him on this brewery tour. I figure this is probably the best way to get rid of jet leg. After reading all the yelp reviews I figured the tour was probably going to suck but atleast we got free beer! Well yelpers you were right. The tour wasn't very interesting at all. The tour guide didn't seem very excited about working there and you couldn't even see half of the things that he talked about in his tour. Also they over booked our tour so there was 80 people on our tour. (Just a tip: don't try coming here on a holiday weekend.) We got to see three rooms. See how beer is made and what is put in it and how they bottle it. This is literally the tour. The sad part is that this tour is about 30 minutes Our guide spent 15 minutes naming all the beer and sodas they produce. Now the best part of the tour is the free beer at the end. It was like a reward for enduring that boring tour. Man if all I had to do was endure a boring lecture and I'd get free beer I'd probably go to school more. What was really cool is how many beers they have on tap at the beer garden. You get four beer tastings. And trust me it's enough After four beers if your a light weight like me you WILL get tipsy so make sure you have a designated driver!! If you want to get out of their within an hour I suggest you get a beer and then drink in line. Usually the line takes long because it takes awhile to pour the beer. If you don't want to drink beer you can have soda. And the best part is that it's all you can drink. Thats what I really liked at this tour. I have been to many brewery tours and none of them have been kid/sober friendly. Like my mom hates beer and she actually liked this tour because she got all the sprecher she could drink while my husband and I got smashed off of the free beer. The only thing I wish they had at the beer garden were munchies. Also usually at the beer tastings they have these awesome glasses! Well unlike the Miller tour where you have to buy them Sprecher gives you your glass as a cool souvenier! The gift shop was awesome. There wasn't alot of ladies apparel that I wanted but they had these awesome hoodies that had a beer holder in front instead of a front pocket. If I lived in a cold climate I would have gotten one. What I ended up buying was one of the retired beer handles (is that what they are called)? And some root beer bread mix which I thought was pretty cool. It was all very reasonably priced!! All and all, this place was pretty cool. I would have given it a five if the tour had been cool. But the tour sucked. But because the beer tasting wass awesome, the brewery was cool and the gift shop rocked I'll give this place 4 stars! read more

Hubby and I went on a tour here after dropping off son #4 to visit with son #2. We had already been on a few other tours so we kind of knew what to expect. We visited on a Saturday and the parking lot was pretty full. We had a mid-day tour time, but I could see the parking situation getting worse later in the day. We checked in at the front and were directed to the sampling room. At the sampling room we got small glasses and were allowed 4 samples. There was a list of all they offered as well as items written on a chalkboard. The chalkboard was what they were pouring at the time and the list was all-inclusive. We had a sample or 2 and then went on the tour. While the samples were good, it was a pain holding the glass the whole time (even though I was enjoying the sample in the glass). They had a wide variety of options - beer, hard soda and hard cider. There was no gluten free beer, which I had my hopes up for, but the hard root beer was REALLY good! The tour is a walk around of the place. They offer a basic tour and a cheese pairing one where they will tell you what to drink with specific cheeses. We just did the basic tour which was fine. At the end of the tour we still had a sample or 2 to go so we decided to get a snack. When you are in Wisconsin, you have to get the cheese curds! Their curds were refrigerated and in a bag. Another brewery we visited had deep fried ones, so although they were still good, we were disappointed by the bag. Since they give out soda samples (non-alcoholic) you can bring kids with you. The sampling area has some board games for the kids to play while you are hanging out, so it's not too painful. Check it out! read more

What made this brewery tour extraordinary was Christian, a dad of four and former high school drama kid who kept our group of 30 engaged for 60 minutes.  His tour appealed to ages, included trivia, and incorporated singing. He took his job seriously and had obviously put in extra work to go WAY above and beyond his call of duty. Begged my boyfriend to take me here when we visited his folks in Milwaukee a couple of years ago. The tour was a bit boring and long, but it was neat to see/touch/smell/taste the different ingredients used in beer including hops and barley! I prefer the lighter brews and enjoyed the Special Amber and Micro-Light. Sprecher also makes gourmet sodas (ginger ale, orange dream, ravin red)... a cold bottle of root beer is just heavenly! Only $3 for tour, tasting and a souvenir glass with the Sprecher logo :-)! read more

The gourmet sodas here are really good and a great bargain at only 86 cents each (16 oz in a glass bottle). I haven't tried all of them yet but the root beer, cream soda, and ginger ale (great taste for not being that high in sugar) are great. I can't wait to come back sometime for a tour. read more
