Be sure to bring the following items if you visit the dahlia fields: - Hat: I visited on a warm, sunny day in August. The fields are beautiful, but there is no shade as you walk through. - Sunscreen: This goes along with a hat-- you don't want to get sunburn as you enjoy the beautiful dahlias. - Water bottle: On a hot day, you definitely don't want to get dehydrated! - Comfortable shoes: You will be walking through the dirt paths as you visit the fields, so be sure to bring your most comfortable shoes. - Money: There's a cute souvenir shop and also a few food trucks available with yummy snack. Most of these accept cash, card, Apple Pay, etc. There's also a covered area with tables for you to sit down, enjoy your snacks, and rest, especially on a warm day. There was plenty of parking when I visited on a Thursday, however, I can see how it could get busy and crowded on a weekend. Regardless, there were several parking areas, plus it's free!! For restrooms, your only option will be porta potties right next to the parking area. Bring hand sanitizer, just in case.
