Summer time i visited as early as they were open 8 am best time. There's just so much to see. We saw a quite a few people doing photo shoots and even one guy said he visits for bird watching. I actually just found this place on Google after hiking at Lake Houston Wilderness park and that was a huge disappointment and wanted to at least go to a park that had a view of the Lake. There is a water front too and people were fishing and a whole lot of ducks were on their evening flying routine..... Its a small park, with considerable parking. Its adjacent to the Boat House, so that is another sport to engage in with family or friends. You can even bring your own paddle boats. A Happy Park overall.
